Today is April 4. It is supposed to be spring, yet I was treated to a lovely sn**storm while driving this afternoon - wet and cold and slushy and gross. So I want to know, who was it that said the dirty word!!

T-minus 11 days to sunny Florida - Disney, take me away!!

It was NOT Me!! We have had yucky, cold winds...but just a few shots of that white, icky stuff.. so when you leave point the sun north so we can warm up -up here!!!

I feel bad for you but I wouldn't mind a little cool weather. We had 3 children faint from heat and numerous others in the nurses office for heat related problems on our field day Tuesday. We had them drinking water but it isn't enough to give them water after they arrive at school they should have been drinking it before they came for the day.

We switched our field day to May this year because of the heat. Last year we had a kid get sick on some other students from the heat.

I'm glad no one actually got sick- just fell onto the ground in faints.

I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be out all day in May here- Especially in our PE area with no shade. We used to do it in March but we had trouble fitting it in now with our End of Grade testing in early March and then Spring Break so hot days in April it is, although they may make a rule that if the heat index hits a certain level we can't be out for that long. We were at 90.

None of the white sn** but we did get about 1 inch of rain. Thunder and lightening too. It is only going to the 40s for the next week. I so loved the 70s of last week. Bring on Spring!

Yuck yuck yuck!!!!

I woke up to 5 inches of the stuff. School (work for me) was delayed for 2 hours which was the only good thing. But my flowers had started to come up! I hope they make it.

Thank goodness we didn't get any of that yucky stuff!!!! We are just getting the icky rain and the cold with the wind, which is bad enough! I don't like any of it!!!! Last weekend was so beautiful and we all had spring fever!!!! Outside enjoying the day and the sunshine!!! It was great!!! Then Monday comes around and it turns to crap!!!! What's up whit that????

This morning the radio announcer was trying to be nice and looking for the positive in the weather situation and he was saying that it is LESS cloudy than yesterday!!!! Whoo! Hoo!!! Like we were all supposed to do the happy dance for that!!! Even the other announcer said what is that supposed to mean??? Are we supposed to praise you for that statement!!! It was kinda funny!

I say come on Spring lets go!!! Don't be shy! Show yourself and jump in!!!!

Our field day has always been in May.. During the last week of school. I guess we are really lucky to get out in May.. the heat hits while we are on summer break...it makes for great "twlight swims" at the pool!! (Cheaper rates when you go after 4pm to swim!)
