Well I think it was unique. And it wasn't permanent unlike so many things they do now (like the BAH, and the Epcot sign).

We were there then. I liked it! My girls were 3 and 4 and they appreciated the Barbie pink.

That's how the castle looked on our first trip to WDW. Your picture brings make some really good memories. I know I am in the minority, but I thought it was cute.

I like it too, it was neat! I am glad is was not perm. I do not like the epcot sign on space ship earth. It makes it look cheap.

I agree!!! I couldn't wait until they took that thing down... then they made it permanent

Your pic brings back good memories, OP I can't say I loved the pink, but I love the memories of going at that time!

The other day I was chatting with a CM friend of mine and we started talking about this one version of the castle. He mentioned how many weddings at the wedding pavilion were cancelled because people did not want that monstrosity in their pictures. They wanted the classic castle we all know and love.

I have only seen it in pictures.....and the display in my curio cabinet.....DH was there and bought a mini castle as a souvenier.....I see it EVERYDAY!!!!

I have only seen the castle decorated for the 50th....I am looking forward to seeing it without decorations!

Your picture almost made me cry. That was the year my kids were 6 & 9 and we also took my parents with us.

It was a FABULOUS vacation during sring break with great weather, the kids were soooo well behaved and my parents were so proud.

All of us are older now but that picture always brings back a very special memory for me.
