Who REALLY makes out on DVC (Disney itself or the members/ownership)?

Or they can just take all that extra $$$ from SSR Phase III and run the monorail through the oft-discussed SSR right-of-way. Double bonus - a new DVC monorail resort and those pesky "SSR has a bad location" comments go away!

It's a deal. When the monorail comes to SSR it becomes a good location, but until then ????? Seriously, I don't think of SSR as a bad location, just not a good one. If I want to be away, I'd rather be truly away like OKW. If I want in the action, I prefer BWV but consider BCV and VWL. I more think of SSR as being in an awkward location but it's truly going to be one of those "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" issues.

It is simple.

DVC provides cash UPFRONT. Disney takes in huge sums of money today to build or do whatever they want.

They also get a commitment from their most die hard fans to come back again and again and again.

We are in a sense signing a contract saying that we will mostly vacation (and spend money at) Disney for the next 40 years! On top of that we pay tens of thousands upfront!
