Who plans your trips?

In my family (myself 45, husband 42, and son 10) I do all the planning. My husband couldn't be bothered with either planning or saving the money for the trip. I started back in February for our trip the first week of December. I started making charts for the MYW dinner pkg and days at the parks. I made our ADRs on Sept 4 exactly 90 days out for all our TS meals and basically planned out each day so far. I even bought a passporter to keep all our info in. I am very organized.

I have to be organized because at the moment I have at least 3 major things going on (1. planning trip 2. cub scout leader 3. service project at work for Christmas for about 100 people). So I can't wait to go on vacation and relax!!!!

Thanks

I do all the planning. DH and I just got married 2 years ago, we don't have kids yet. Since we've been married, we went to WDW once with both of our families at the same time (never again!), once with some of my friends and we're going again next May with my parents. I'm always the one planning, making ressies and itineraries. He thinks I'm crazy, spending so much time on here, but it always works out!

I am the ultimate obsessive planner! I won't let anyone plan my WDW trip. For the previous one my mom just gave me the reigns and said, whatever you think. Hehe. But seriously, I love to plan trips. Maybe I was a TA in my previous life... its so much fun!

I do all the planning for me and DH. He wouldn't have a clue where to start and if he was planning our trip we'd probably be skiing down a mountain or something rather than going to WDW. He thinks I'm mad all the planning I do but it's great fun and he appreciates it when we are there and everything goes smoothly.

My Mum and Dad are going to join us next May for the first time and I'm really looking forward to planning things that I think and hope they'll really enjoy :flower:

I'm also a travel agent so I plan other peoples vacations all day long. :earsboy:

I plan every detail of ours. My husband just sits back and goes along for the ride.

When we went for the honeymoon, my wife did the entire itinerary thing on the website. It wasn't that bad except we ended up with not enough time in EPCOT IMHO because we went there almost every night for dinner, so she didn't allot a lot (that sounds funny) of time for actually doing anything there.

I'm much more of a "play it by ear" guy. If it were up to me, we would have ended up eating Counter service at every meal because I wouldn't have worried about ADR. So sometimes being a bit OCD isn't too bad.

I'm the hubby in the family and I have done about 75 percent of the planning for this upcoming trip. My wife did change some ADRs and has gotten the guides and passporter to read.

She will get more excited the closer we get. We are still 50 days out. In a month, she will be ecstatic and get more of her business stuff off of her plate and focus more. She's not as good at long-term planning as I am.

She has a co-worker taking his family to WDW this next week and I think she is waiting to hear his experiences some.

i plan hubby gives his imput( "do you want to go to a or b" and he says "a" or "b":)) i don' t care... i like to plan and he hates it but likes to have a plan ( provided by me)

I have to plan the holiday as db either can't or won't. I love doing it, though, so we're both happy.

We got back a few weeks ago and db knew nothing about what we were doing, even though I told him repeatedly! He didn't even know which day we got back!

He doesn't get excited until we arrive, I'm excited about our next visit now and we're not currently planning a trip!

My wife does all the planning. That's probably a good thing.

Actually, she will admit to being the Type A one in the relationship. I don't think she'd have it any other way. Mind, I don't exactly just sit back and do nothing - I will call in the occasional APR when the time comes.

I do the planning, my DH just wants me to tell him where and when we are going to eat! :rotfl2:

I plan everything but DW handles airfare and rental car. :earsboy:

I do all the planning. My husband just wants to know when to take off work, where he needs to be and at what time to be there. It's as simple as that. Our biggest delima is what to eat. :confused3

My DH saves for the trips and I plan everything. If I left it up to him that would be scary! He would NEVER spend this much time doing research!

Since I am the obsessed Disney addict, I do all the planning for DH, DS12 and myself. The only thing that my DH asks is that we try different resorts. I can handle that.. :lovestruc

Me and DH decide about the hotel, dates, passports and flight.:chat:

DH handles rental car. :moped:

I plan the schedule , decide about the park tickets, get info about restaurants & menus. :genie:

This is gonna sound so "sappy" but we do it together. DH gets so "INTO" the planning, he sometimes makes me crazy, then he'll just go and do things....... mostly good things, like adding another day to our trip.... without telling me beforehand. But we enjoy doing it together, looking up resorts, looking thru menu's, etc.... etc.... Were "GOOFY" LOL, that way!!!

i plan, schedule, pay for everything except gas and some food.... :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

I plan all of our vacations. If I waited on DH, we would never go anywhere! I also have a Type A personality and like to have control over the situation and not rely on anyone else.
