And if so...how did you chose the characters to include in them? I think I might make one for DS3 but I need direction!!

We did not make one. On the suggestion from someone here on the boards, we got a Disney 8 x 8 spiral notebook. We found one on sale at a craft store. After the trip, we got an 8 x 8 scrapbook album and put the pictures and autographs in it. The pages in the notebook were perforated so when you tore them out they were exactly 8 x 8 and fit perfectly in the album.

I've made several, but I make them after the trip! The first one I did, I bought scrapbook pages from Creative Memories, the rest I bought an idex card thingy from Staples/Office Max that is 4 x 6 cards on a spiral so it's all connected. I have the characters sign on the non lined side then snap a picture. When I get home I make the book. here are a few pics of the one done with scrapbook pages. The concept is the same for the index cards, autograph on one side, pic on the other, stickers and other embellishments to highlight!

I make photobooks for my girls to use as autograph books. However, we had APs this last year, so that made it easier (I used photos from previous trips to make the books). To make the books, I start with photos of my girls with characters, add Disney clip art and try to make them look kinda like scrapbook page designs, with a place for the characters to sign. You could do the same type of thing with just clip art if you don't have pictures. Then, I wait for a really good sale (such as a free photobook offer from Shutterfly) and then order the photobook. The characters really like the photobooks! Even the non-face characters (you know, the fuzzy ones) usually flip through the books to look at the other pages.

I would suggest including any of the following characters that you would like to meet:

Mickey
Minnie
Goofy
Donald
Chip & Dale
Alice
Mad Hatter
Pinnochio
Geppeto
Pooh
Tigger
Eeyore
Woody
Jessie
Buzz
Queen of Hearts
White Rabbit
The princesses (Rapunzel, Tiana, Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty - oh, and I hear Merida is now in the parks near IASW)
Peter Pan
Jake (from the Neverland Pirates)
Handy Manny
Fairy Godmother
If you're going to a character meal, then you may want to ask to see who others have met at that venue (for example, we met Hook and Rafiki at Minnie's breakfast, but I haven't seen them elsewhere in the park)

Ones not to include because they don't sign:
Duffy
Sully

When I was young my mom had me draw pictures of my favorite characters (or ones I really wanted to meet) and then we brought them to get signed. I still have them somewhere and I love it, it made it more personal for me and the characters loved to see drawings of themselves!

I made autograph books for my girls. I made way too many pages, and I still missed a few that I should have done. We didn't see all the characters I made pages for but that was OK since we couldn't predict who we would see. I will keep those pages for the next trip. The characters got really excited when they had their own page.

I have scrap books and I am going to put the signed page on one side and a picture of the girls with the character on the other.
