Who lives in the same area you grew up in?

Being inside with a 4yo for several days definitely makes the mind start to wander. Today I started thinking about all the warm places I could be when I realized that besides college I've never lived more that 15 miles from the house I grew up in. It's funny because none of the rest of my family is in the area. DH has always lived in NJ as well.

I was born in Hawaii, lived there until I was a year old. Moved to Jacksonville. Lived in Georgia for six months and then back to Jacksonville. Lived on the Westside of town for 22 years, then over the river to the Southside of town for a few years, then DH and I moved to Mandarin and we have lived on this side of town for about 15 years. Jacksonville is a big city and is very spread out. Have always wanted to live on the ocean. But, the price of an ocean front home is way out of my price range.

I lived in the same city(2 houses) from birth until I got married. I then moved about 15 minutes away for 4 years, but now I am back, 1/2 mile away from the second house I lived in(my parents are still there). So, I guess I didnt go very far.

We just moved into our 2nd house on December 26th...

All in all, I've moved around in about a 1.5 mile radius since I've been born.

My family lived in Overland Park, Kansas (Kansas City) when I was little. But I was born in Kansas City, MO, so my mother calls me her Missouri mule.

We moved to Norman when I was 6 and I've lived within several miles of that house, even when I was in college. DH and I have had two homes since we married. My mother still lives in my childhood home.

I lived in the same house till I got married at 23 and then I moved about an hour away from home. We lived there for 7 years and then we moved back to our home town now for 17 years.

I grew up in Houston and all of my family and husband's family are there. We are the only ones up here except for one brother and my mother (who I convinced to move up here about 15 years ago).

Not only am I in the same township I grew up in, I am in the same house!! DH and I bought my parents home years ago after my dad died and my mom lives with us.

I lived in the same house until I got married at 21 y/o......DH & I then moved to our first house about 10 minutes away.....we now live about 1/2 hour from where I grew up & approx. 20 minutes from where he did.

I've lived in the same town since I was a baby. So that's almost 23 years.

Growing up lived in 2 houses. After college moved around. Just 2 yrs ago, we bought the 2nd house that I grew up in from my father. Many happy childhood memories. My children now go to the public school I went to!!

I lived in the same house until I was 20. Moved around from apartment to apartment for a while, and now I'm right back in the same house I was born in. How's that for exciting?
