Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Tiana is such a cutie! :goodvibes

Sorry about the rude man at the Toontown sign. I always make sure my niece and nephew wait their turn for photos. Sometimes other kids will get excited and run ahead, which is understandable, but it irks me to no avail when grown adults don't know how to wait their turn.

I remember waiting patiently for my turn to take a photo near the castle. Over on the side where the castle reflects in the moat. Then this guy got up there to take photos of his little girl ... and took bloody FOREVER! I waited and waited and waited through his "do this" "do that" "look this way" "turn that way" "make this face" "wave" "pick your nose." OK, so he didn't really tell her to pick her nose, but that's about all he didn't tell her to do. I finally got sick of waiting and (sorry all) had the DH go stand next to them so I could get his pic. So the last dozen or so of this guys 178 photos of his kid had my DH in the background.

Hi Lisa, I hope you all are doing well, just wanted to check in. Pop is wonderful and we're having a fabulous time. Getting ready to head to the studios this morning. I will catch up on your report when I get home.

Terri

Good for you!

I promise I'm coming back to post replies and another installment. It's billing time at the office and I was able to get most of the Statements out yesterday. In between printing envelopes, I am catching up on my subscriptions.

Be back later! Oh for those of you who haven't done it yet, take a look at my ebay stuff. (yes that was a very shameful or maybe shameless pitch for myself)

That is great that you were able to get his phone phone back!!
We never got our picture in front of the sign because people kept jumping in front and were taking FOREVER!!

I was happy that people turned in the phone. It was still relatively new (just a few months old) so I would have been ticked if it was gone forever.

Doesn't it make you mad when they won't move out of the way!

LOL at John's sleeping poses! I'm glad you got your Toontown photo in, but I'm sorry there were so many rude and/or clueless people.

Usually the pictures of John sleeping are really pictures of him sleeping. We had a fun time with the "fake" sleep pictures.

I hated that we encountered the rude guests too.

Love all the stuff you have posted on ebay so far. The bags are adorable.

I had hoped to get more listed but we've been busy around our house lately. I hope you'll keep a watch on my auctions.

Still following along and enjoying everything! You guys are a blast!

Glad to see you are still here.

How the heck did I miss an update. I HATE it when people are so ignorant...it really frosts my you know what. Long ago, they never had lines to form in to meet the characters. It used to drive me crazy when people (and it was mostly people from a certain foreign country) who would cut in front of you to get a picture taken. There were times that I would rudely turn around (and this is when the boys were little) and say, "excuse me, but this is a line forming here waiting their turn." They didn't like it, but they didn't cut in front of me anymore. I was very happy when they started having a line with CM's there to be with the characters.

I hate when the boss interrupts in the middle of something...

I'm hoping for another update or two before we leave. :)

Sometimes I wonder if the people are really as ignorant as they make themselves out to be. You know what I mean.

If we are in line to see a character, I have no problem whatsoever telling people that the line is behind me. I DON'T THINK SO!

Tiana has wormed her way into our hearts already. She is such a sweetie pie.

I have a big tolerance if it's kids that jump in front of a picture but not adults. You can tell they knew better.

Way to go girlfriend! I probably would have done the same thing.

You are so sweet to pop in while on your vacation. I can't wait to read all about your Disney travels.

Just wanted to stop in and say goodbye. I'll try to keep as up to date as I can on my subscribed threads, but I'll be with a Mouse and I don't know how much free time he'll give me. :rotfl2:

I am happy to see you got Hunter's phone back too. It's an amazing thing at WDW that people really do turn things like that in. I remember a couple years ago when we went with DD's boyfriend and he was going to "pop the question" at dinner one night. Well, silly him was carrying the ring around in his jacket pocket and lost the jacket. We thought for sure it was lost for good. BUT, the next day he checked in at lost and found and someone had turned it in. :yay: We were completely amazed!

But, even with the "surprise" spoiled for the dinner, he "popped that question" in front of the Epcot ball and tons of people ... on one knee and everything. They are getting married May 7, 2011. Not at Disney though.

I was happy and Hunter was relieved when the castmember had his cellphone.

Oh my goodness! I know your daughter's boyfriend was sweating bullets wondering if the ring would ever be found.

Was your daughter surprised by the proposal?

Let's all start singing now........It's a small world after all......It's a small world after all............It's a small world after all............It's a small small world!

Small world will be closed when we go next week :sad2:. Its been closed for refurbishment since August 1 and isn't supposed to open until October 22. Your pictures are all we will get this year. Its usually a must do for us just to get the song stuck in our heads:rotfl: The same with the COP song.

Oh well, you'll have an excuse to go back next year so you can see Small World.;)

Those are quite the rain puddles. My little boys would have loved those! (They've never met a puddle they didn't jump right into.) Serious crowds at Small World. That is just crazy!

Hunter walked right through the puddles. Thank goodness he had on his Crocs.

Goodness, those puddles reminded me of when we were in WDW the year Hurricane Francis hit!

Loved seeing your IASW pictures, sadly it closed 2 days before our Aug trip so we didn't get to ride this go around. I just love riding that classic :lovestruc Did you mom enjoy it?

Glad to hear there are honest people out there & your DS got his cell phone back. Smart of him to realize it so quickly :goodvibes

Mama did like Small World. I had to explain to her how it came to be an attraction. Then it made sense to her. See my Disney trivia does have a usefulness.

John cracks me up with his sleeping poses.

I was thinking today...It's funny how you posted about how your family followed the rules and got rewarded...the na few posts later you post about stealing pots...well not stelaing per se, since it was the junk pile, but it still had me cracking myself up! :lmao: And you were rewarded with that with nice pots !

John cracks me up too!

Ummm, I didn't steal any pots thank you very much! The deputy drove right past up with absolutely no blinking lights or "whoop whoop" of his siren.:lmao:

Wow.....that's a LOT of rain! YIKES!

Love IASW....thanks for all the pics. I felt like I was right there with you!

Off to eBay to check out your stuff! Have a great day! :goodvibes

I hadn't realized how hard it rained until we stepped outside. I guess I was too busy trying to ward off Stinky and Smelly.:rolleyes1

Phew, after a summer long haitus (stupid work expecting me to work...) from the TR, then a start and stop again for a week or two, I finally caught up (and I had started it off so well!)

Now, my alarm is going to ring in 2 minutes, and I haven't slept yet... no, I didn't spend all night reading, don't worry :p (just the past 45minutes or so.)

So, without further ado...(this will likely be out of order, having just read 10 pages, and trying to remember the 40-50 pages behind I was when I started catching up...)

 • Another big congrats to Lacey and Jesse!
 • Yay for Lacey moving home for a bit. - It'll be tough for them being apart, but they'll make it through and they are close enough to visit regularly.
 • Yay for Mama doing so well at Disney
 • Tiana is absolutely adorable. It makes me want to have a kitty again (had to give up the 2 I had back home as they'd not be happy at the travel nor the change in lifestyle that I had to make :( (from being home all the time and able to interact, to working 8-5, or 8-7 as the case has been lately))
 • Grats on getting the design thing going, extra Disney (and Wedding) money will surely come in handy.
 • Insert other listed comments here for the many things that I'm sure I have forgotten!

As for myself, I did my online check-in today. I'm 10 days away! This time in 2 weeks I'll be getting ready to head into DHS with my mom. Speaking of which, I really need to get a haircut this week... (normally, she'll take me to the mall the first day I'm visiting to do that, but that would take away from park time this time, and that's not going to work :p)

As mentioned, it'll be up in plenty of time for your December trip, however, last I read (and granted, this was a couple months ago when the refurb was first "announced") there won't be the same character overlay they did in DLR. It's more likely a "technical" refurb. Time will tell though :).

You are down to just meer days until you leave. Did you ever find a ride?

I LOVE the Mickey's Toon Town photo!!!!

Thanks April. I probably could have gotten a better one if I hadn't been ticked off at the time.

Love, love, LOVE your bracelet! :yay: Did I mention I love your bracelet? :lmao: Where did you find it?

It's actually a watch. I think John said he bought it at Sears. The Mickeys on the band used to be gold and silver. The gold rubbed off pretty quickly and it's all silver. But, I still wear it every day 'cause it's so cute.

Hey hay hay! I don't know where that came from, but I'm leaving it!

Now, I've had a lot of catching up to do here, so bear with me:

I really really really miss the old narration on the TTA. Really. I don't care for the one at. all.

It loved reading about how you & Hunter were rewarded for following the rules! I do love me some rules! It's so bad that everyone will tease me about it if we are playing a game or what not. But, really, what else are rules for other than following? I'm definitely going to show that post to my DH!

John's meatball sandwich looks really good! Too bad it wasn't. It did look like it had a lot of bread, but I could see the yumminess peaking out from the inside and the pack of cheese sitting right next to it, waiting to be sprinkled on! I didn't know they had those there...

And wow! that was a lot of rain! :scared1: I've never seen so much standing on the "streets". Usually there are cast members all around with big squeegees, pushing it all away, so that just shows even more how much rain there was!

And I'm sorry you had to discover those two long lost drawfs! Maybe they'll go back into hiding by the next time you're there. :goodvibes

Ya'll have a super fantastic trip! Take lots of pictures and tell the Porn Queen hello!

Hey hay hay right back at 'cha!

I can't stand rule breakers and try to make sure that we are followers. It does feel good to be rewarded.

The meatball sub had a good flavor just too much bread. Of course, being from Louisiana, John added a bunch of pepper flakes to spice it up.

I didn't realize that it had rained so hard until we stepped outside. It was so deep. Hunter didn't mind though, he had on his Crocs and walked right through it.

I think I have now posted replies to everybody. I'm a little bit scattered right now.

We just found out that my brother-in-law has brain, lung and bone cancer and it has spread to his lymph nodes. This is the same brother-in-law who has had several strokes and is a diabetic. From the tests that they have done so far, it's not looking good at all. Because of his strokes, he won't be able to withstand any surgery or chemo.

The doctors are going to run more tests tomorrow.

Please keep him and his family in your prayers!

Oh, Lisa, I am so sorry to hear this news. I am sending big 's to you and all of your family. I will say many, many prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about your brother in law. I know that is tough and he will be in my prayers! I have been MIA for a little while now because I had a stroke a week and a half ago! My father in law was diagnosed with brain cancer when we were in Disney in May. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family!

I am so very sorry to hear of your brother in law. Cancer hits close to home for me & I am in tears for you & your family. You & your family are definitely in my prayers.

Thank you so much. My mother is beside herself. I had to break the news to her over the phone and it was very difficult.

Breaking the news over the phone is VERY difficult. I had to do that alot, once at 19 when my dad committed suicide, at 22 when my mom got sick, again when she took a turn for the worst & at 25 when she passed. Now I much rather email or text anyone than talk on the phone. I pray your mom gets some much needed comfort.
