Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

All caught up. Another big congrats to Lacey. Town looked very quaint. I am sorry the magic store people were unmagical. Love all the family pics!

Hello to all my Disboard buddies! I haven't been on since last week and lots of things have happened since then. Good things!

First off, Lacey's moving home!:yay::cheer2::banana: I know ya'll are probably saying just what I did....."What happened? Is something wrong?" Absolutely nothing is wrong. Actually, everything is perfecto!

I think I had already mentioned that this was her last year in the Master's Commission. When you're in MC, you can't have a job because you are constantly on the go. Lacey really wanted to start saving some money and that would mean she needed a job. She has only a couple of classes to finish before she gets her Bachelor's Degree. Her Mission parents had told her she could move in with them and finish up college there in Georgia.

Jesse also needs to take a couple of classes to get his degere. He was in the process of finding a place to stay and had interviewed for a youth pastor job.

Lacey said she was standing in her apartment the other day and was praying about what she should do. She said He told that she needed to move home, finish up her classes at a local community college and to look for a job here in Louisiana. She and Jesse discussed it and he had prayed about his situation as well and he was told that he needed to do the exact same thing as Lacey. (well, except for not come to Louisiana but to go back to Tennessee)

So, that's what they are going to do. Lacey's coming home and Jesse's headed to Tennessee. They will go back and forth and visit each other.

Part two of my wonderful news follows in the next post!

Lacey's engaged! Lacey and 13 of her other Master's Commission friends from years past traveled to Panama City Beach, Florida last week. Jesse called John last week and asked permission to ask Lacey to marry him. He had already asked us when he came to visit in May but he wanted to make sure we didn't mind if he asked even though we wouldn't get to see it. Of course, John told him yes.

I texted Jesse and told him to make sure that somebody took pictures. He sent back a text saying he would definitely have pictures taken.

All week long, we wondered when he was going to ask her. Well, Friday night, we were sitting on the back porch and we got a call from Lacey. I could tell she was smiling just from the way she was talking. Jesse had proposed! We let her tell us all about it and then we told her that we knew he was going to pop the question. She called us "sneaky sneaks" and laughed.

She sent a picture of the ring via a text message. It's just a simple band because neither of them have had a job in three years. Thus, no money. Anyway, somehow he saved enough for a band. Lacey wouldn't have cared it it came from a bubblegum machine. She is such a non-materialistic girl.

That's another reason Lacey is moving home. We have a wedding to plan!

Part three of our news in next post!

Okay, so what's part three of our news?

We've decided to stay at Pop Century next year. Why? Because, there is a chance that Lacey might come along with us for one last hoorah before getting married. Still not sure but it's a possibility. It will save us $726.00 if we we stay in a value resort.....even more if a deal comes out.

Even though Lacey is not a materialistic, fru-fru, girly girl, she does want a wedding and I'm sure that $726.00 will come in handy.

So, it looks like our beloved CBR will have to wait for us to visit another year but at least we'll still be in Disney!

WOW! WOW! WOW!What great news on all counts, Lisa. I'm so happy that Lacey will be coming home to work and you can plan the wedding together. That is just wonderful. I know how proud you and John are, and I'm sure Hunter will be thrilled to have his sister home.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only Wow that's a little unexciting for me is the staying at Pop Century but if I can put that extra $700+ towards a wedding, I'll sacrifice. Oh, and we added an extra day to the vacation so that's another :thumbsup2.

Although I am not a fan of the values, you have a very good reason for staying at one. Does this mean two rooms since your mom will be coming? Will Lacey stay with her since only four are allowed in a room?

If Mama does come along, we will be getting two rooms and I am sure that Lacey will bunk with her. Somebody at church has mentioned a trip for the Seniors next Summer. If they go somewhere that Mama wants to go, she will probably skip Disney. Just depends on where and when the church group goes.

I can live with a value resort even if Lacey decided not to go with us to Disney. She may have a job that won't allow her to take off work. Who knows? I do know that the money we save will go towards the wedding though.

Wow! I missed out on some news! How awesome that Hunter's joke was picked!

Congrats to Lacey on the graduation, moving home & getting engaged!

Congratulations! Such wonderful news! And I'm sure you'll love that extra time you'll get with Lacey before she flys the coop for good! And I'm sure you'll find a good use for that $726 when you're planning the wedding!

Congratulations on both GOOD NEWS posts! Lacey's coming home AND getting married! I love it!

And I don't blame you one bit for moving your hotel to Pop. You are right, that money will come in handy for a wedding. Those things are not cheap! And who cares where you lay your head when the majority of your days will be spent in the parks anyways!

Congrats again!!! :cheer2:

Yay, Yay, and Yay!! What great news Lisa! I know how torn up you were about missing Lacey and her growing up....this will be a great way to enjoy here for one more year before she begins her "real" life! I'm sure it was not an easy decision for them to go their separate ways for a year, but good for them for sticking to their convictions. There's not enough of that these days.

So a wedding, huh?? Oh boy...to the planner in me that sounds like so much fun!! :dance3:

Ok! I have been MIA for a little while! Great trip report as always! My boys Love the Spaceship Earth building on the way to Disney...They always ask are we at Epcot now!! Last week I had to go to California for work...so ofcourse while I was there I had to vist Disneyland :) My hubby told my boys that I was at Disneyland....could of choked him!!! but my boys loved the pics I took and they were ok, once I brought them back something from Disneyland! Congrats to Lacey, how exciting!!!

WOW!!! I am so happy for you and your family! That Lacey really has a great head on her shoulders. Congrats to having your girl home for a while and super big hug on your future son in law Jesse. What wonderful news! God is most certainly shining His love down on your family:cloud9:

So the big question is are we dis'ers going to get a wedding report out of this?

OK, this last update is making me come out of lurking!

Congratulations! So glad to hear all the good news!

I know you absolutely love CBR but take it for someone who always stays at Pop for budget reasons, you will not be disapointed! Although the room will be a bit smaller and simpler, you will be saving a good chunk of change! :thumbsup2

Love your TR and can't wait for another update! popcorn::

Thanks Mary! The magic store employers were not at all helpful or even personable.

Thank you so much! I know that you've been busy getting the boys ready for school.

I'm so excited! I can't believe that we will have some more time with Lacey. Before, we thought we wouldn't see her until Thanksgiving.

I am sure that we'll find all sorts of stuff to spend that $726 on!

Thank you very much! I am beyond excited to know she will be back home even if it is for a little while.

If some really really good deal came out, we might switch back to the CBR but I doubt it. I've always been of the mindset that a dollar saved is a Disney dollar. Well now, I guess every dollar saved is a wedding dollar.

I was really really sad that we wouldn't be seeing Lacey for another four months. Now, we'll have her for at least nine months.

Lacey and Jesse are very committed to their relationship but know that they have to get their degrees and jobs before getting married. I thank God that they have a good head on their shoulders.

Oh yeah, I can't wait to get in the wedding planning mode!

Hey there! I'm sure you've been busy with three active little boys! I laughed when you said they would ask if they were in Epcot now when they see Spaceship Earth. That's what Hunter used to say when he was little too.

So, how did you like Disneyland? Was it fun?
