Great Update!!!! I too am terrified of heights but for Soarin I am willing to make an execption.
Can't wait to hear more.
I can handle the heights on Soarin' pretty good with the exception of flying over the tops of the mountains.

OK- I finally have to chime in. I lurked on the shoe/pee TR and I have gotten sucked into this one.I think that I have read another one of yours too but I am not sure? I always subject DH to my summary of every installation.
We drove down to WDW on our last trip (12 hours) and it rained on us also (seems like it does somewhere along the drive everytime) and I was sure that we would see a horrible wreck too. (We have seen a wreck every time we have driven.)
It is so strange because I feel like I know your family and your boss.I love the personality of Huter and Lacy that show through in their photos. John often reminds me of my DH on our trips. (inprompttu naps and work phone calls) We have stayed at CBR twice and loved it but now we are DVC and LOVE our home resort AKV.
I am also excited to see how "mama" fairs on this trip because we have often talked about taking the MIL and FIL to WDW but did not know how they would hold up. They are in their 70s but VERY active and social. FIL has had double knee replacements but gets around like a 20 yr old.
I look forward to seeing what new adventures await

Welcome and I'm glad that you've decided to make yourself know to us all!

It makes me feel good that you've come to know my family so well and that you share my reports with your husband.
The similarities of our driving experiences are too funny.
My deceased Daddy used to make us take serious pictures but then we could take silly pictures. I am always telling my kids that their Papaw would be upset with them for never taking serious pictures first. They do let their personalities show though.
I hope that your in-laws decide to join ya'll on a Disney trip one day. It's a total different experience but it's a fantastic experience.
I just knew Mama would love Soarin'. I keep asking my grandmother to come with us on a trip. She of course is now a great grandmother and in her 70's but maybe someday.
My mother is a great grandmother too! I am soooo glad that Mama went with us. She had the best time hanging out with Hunter.

I am not sure about our spring trip. Avery gets out really late next year. Hmmm.

Well, can't wait to read some more about your day at Epcot and your Dismeet!!
I know that when I ran for FP's last year for Soarin' they only had the one side of the escalators/ stairs opened too and I remember thinking how much easier it would be if both sides were opened.
How cool that you got row 1 of Soarin' and I'm so glad Mama loved it! It's such a fun ride and even better when you are showing someone for the first time how wonderful it is!!
Well, just for a moment, all of you close your eyes and imagine that you have just gotten in line for Living With The Land. You walk to the end of the first little chained off line. Straight ahead of you there is a mural on a large wall. Look down about waist high at the blue bubbles. No, you're not looking low enough. Now, look a little to your right. SEE! See the Hidden Mickey in the bubbles?
