Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

Loved the update! I'm glad to hear mama is getting on and off the rides good so far. You are really getting me excited about taking my mom for the first time this year. She has been once before but she only had a half day at each park and just rushed through this will be the first time with family:goodvibes

So glad to hear mama is going back with you next year and you have your dates! Can't wait for more!

Well geeezzze. Thanks for putting that mental image in my head. Seriously, I try not to think too much about how high I am. Anything higher than the top of a one story room scares the bejeebers out of me.

Ooops, sorry. :rolleyes1

I've skipped Soarin the past two trips. The first, I was pregnant, so I had that excuse. This time was a little more difficult to skip it. My older daugther is at the point where things are starting to make her nervous and if I were to say that I didn't like Soarin because of the heights, next thing we'd hear from her: "I don't like Soarin. It's too high." Oh, the perils of being a role model for your children. :rotfl2:

I'm just so excited that Mama is having a good time, and loving everything. Can't wait to read more.

Lisa,

I just love reading your trip reports. We are surprising our kids with a vacation in 7 weeks. They are going to be so excited. We've been telling them that it just isn't possible to take a trip there this year. I keep seeing things in your reports and want to run out and show them, but I can't for fear of giving it away. So glad your mom went with you guys!

I've been away from the computer for a few days, so yeah for me!! I got to get 2 updates! Love looking for Hidden Mickey's! The kids and I have made it our project the last couple times to find some new ones. Thanks for the photos. I hadn't seen these, either. Next time we're there, we'll have to be on the lookout (and now I have the advantage).

Lisa, still with ya. I just don't know what to say about my dissing here lately. I have been so blah because the trip is over. I am really down about the oil spill too, my heart is breaking over the damage being done and the animals dying.

Great update!!:thumbsup2 We love Living with the Land!! You got so many great pictures! Loved all your hidden Mickey's! So glad to hear that Mama is doing so well and having such a great time!:goodvibes

I'm with ya on the oil spill. Too sad for words.

I'm so sorry for everyone who lives around the oil spill. I live at the beach and I can't imagine anything like that I cry several times a day when watching the news, it just seems to be more bad news each day:sad1:

Whoo Hoo!!! I was not that far behind!!! We did Soarin for the 1st time & we LOVED it!! But I won't give away too much, you'll just have to read it in my TR when I start it. So glad to hear Mama is doing so great!!!

Hey everyone! I've been busy and haven't had much time to Dis. Sorry!

I'm trying to plan our trip to see Lacey. She graduates her third year of missionary college on the 17th of July. There's only one hotel in their town and it's not so great. So, we have to go to a little town named Helen and stay. It's super cute and touristy. It can also be pricey if you don't watch out. Today, I finally got our room reserved and it overlooks the Chatahoochee River. I'm glad to have that taken care of.

I've decided to take the following Monday off work so we can spend an extra day in Georgia. Lacey won't be coming home to stay with us this Summer which is hurting my heart pretty badly. We always know that we get to spend time with her during the Summer but this year, probably not at all. Meaning, after our short time with her in July, we won't see her again until November.:guilty:

On top of the Georgia trip planning, we've been working in the garden. We have already picked peas, string beans, yellow squash and hot peppers. Soon, the cucumbers, corn and tomatoes will start to ripen. My fingernails are purple from shelling the peas. And, it's not a pretty shade of purple either.

So, those are my excuses. I will try my very best to get an update posted soon and to respond to everybody.

Ooh, enjoy Georgia! We love that area. The mountains are so pretty up there. It's only an hour or so north from where we are. It's lovely.

Congrats to Lacey on graduation from 3rd year!!!

We've only been to Helen once, but it is really cute!

It stinks that you won't get to spend the summer with her. How much more time does she have of missionary college and what are her plans after?

Great job getting your hotel booked and an extra day to spend in Georiga. And congratulations to Lacey!!!! :thumbsup2

Wonderful news about your daughter and how nice that you will get to spend a weekend with her. I am sorry that you will not be seeing her all summer, though. Must be so hard to have a child who lives out of state.

But from the short time I have spent with you on your TR, I can imagine that you all will make it quite the adventure!!! :cloud9:

Oh, I love Helen. We used to go every fall, it's so pretty up there! I know you'll enjoy seeing Lacey. My daughter Cindy moved to Memphis to go to grad school and I hated having to go a long time without seeing her. The day she moved back to Georgia was my happiest day!

"A way down yonder on a Chatahoochee!" :rolleyes1

Ok you said that river and that song immediately came to mind.
Take your time with the updates. I'm still behind. We are having so many problems with Skips hip, and the Dr is being such a big turd, I don't know how we will make it over the weekend. Skip is not a good patient and calls the Dr constantly. He even just called the emergency number. The Dr is off till Monday now. How wil lI live? LOL!

On a good note, I took Claire and friend to see Toy Story 3 today. It was really good and a bit of a tear jerker at times. I had to get away for a bit and that was a good way to do it.

Thats a bummer that Lacy won't be home. Is it because of her job (I forget where, but wasn't she taking over something) or does she have more school this summer?

Congrats to Lacey. Enjoy your time with her. I am sorry it will be so long until you see eachother again!
