Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

:lmao::lmao::lmao:Oh Lisa, I'm sorry to laugh at your experience, but you are a really funny writer and I needed a good laugh!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I remember the tooth story! It's even funnier the second time around! :lmao:

Oh Hunter...use the batting eyelashes to your advantage as long as it works! Someday it won't! (namely when you have a wife who won't put up with your silliness!)

Those burgers look tasty....I could eat one right now! :thumbsup2

Great update Lisa :thumbsup2. I think you're right, that Dana woman must have been following you around :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:. I don't think I took that many food pictures this trip. I know I didn't get any of our food at EU. Can't wait to hear about the meet and find out if the Dana person was still following you.......:lmao:

That was a fun flashback - I can just imagine my family treating me the same way! What a relief to get it back in safe and sound, though.

I guess I am that doting grandmother who pampers her grandkids! Mine always want to come to Mimi's house, and my daughter laughs when I wait on them which she definitely doesn't do at home! That's okay, they are great kids and they won't be kids much longer so I will pamper them as much as I can while I can.

My mother does the same thing with my kids...it drives my dad completely nuts! (me too, sometimes...) The things she lets these kids do..."no" is simply not in her vocabulary!

I can sympathize with the picky eater, too...except I think my older two are worse than Hunter. They won't eat burgers, and only eat pizza from a few places (none of which are on Disney property). :sad2: We had a food meltdown or two on our trip...and Mommy was involved in all of them, I'm sorry to say. :headache: The little guy, on the other hand, will eat almost anything off of anyone's plate. Finally, a good eater!

Great update, Lisa!!! Thanks for the flashback story. :lmao: It is a classic!!!!

OMG.. I soo needed that laugh this morning!! That was the best flash back evah!!!:rotfl2: I don't know what it is about Grandparents, Gabby does not have them completely wrapped around her finger but she def. gets away with a bunch of stuff-more than I could ever think about when I was younger!

Great update Lisa!!:thumbsup2 My mom does the same thing with my boys...all they have to do is bat their eyes and they can get away with anything!!;)

That tooth story is just what I needed this morning!! I couldn't stop laughing!!:lmao: I remember it the first time around....and reacted the same way! Aww...thanks for sharing!!

I think that's part of being a Grandma, spoiling your grandkids silly! I know my parents do things for our kids that they never never did for me & my brother!

I'm surprised you've had an uneventful meal at Electric Umbrella. Perhaps something will happen?

I enjoyed the update on LWTL and thanks for spotting those hidden Mickeys! I've never been very good at looking for them.

I can't wait to see the changes they've made to the attraction. I am like you, I like it when they change things up a bit to make it fresher for people who visit frequently.

By about day 2 or 3 I had Mama looking out for Hidden Mickeys!

Wow, an actual line for Living With the Land?!?!? I've never seen that!

We love that ride! It is one of our favorite rides in all of WDW!

Glad that your mom did a great job! I have a hard time with some of those boats myself.

There have been a couple of times that there was a semi-long line for Living with the Land but, luckily, it moves pretty fast.

Living with the Land is the best attraction!!!!!! EVER...

Maybe not best attraction EVER but definitely a good one.

Great updates!!! I love your photos as always. :goodvibes

Thanks April!

I read your last trip report . . . and the one before that . . . so I guess I ought to read this one too, huh?

Just teasing! Your family is so much fun! I can't wait to hear more!

Hey! Of course, you need to join in!

We love Living with the Land as well! Good job on spotting all those hidden Mickeys Lisa! :goodvibes

I had seen pictures of the wire Mickey in the aquaculture section but had never seen it in "real life".

Living with the Land is one of our very favorite rides. Go figure because I can't grow anything at all....no green thumb here!

Good for Mama....she's just proving to you she's still a spring chicken! :thumbsup2

Mama was a Spring chicken for sure!

Yay for Living with the Land! I love that little farmhouse scene, too! Besides the storm scene at the beginning, its my favorite! I'm so proud of your Mama! :goodvibes Does she know you're writing things like that about her in your TR? My Mom probably would hit me on the arm and tell me to quit writing about her! Hopefully, you'll eat close by at Sunshine Seasons so I can hear first hand how good it is.....

Mama does know that I'm writing about her. I don't tell her about the parts where we slow down so she can keep up or about us skipping things in order for her to rest.

I'm subbing and looking forward to the rest of your trip report. I read your last one and loved and happy to find this one.

Since I found it late, I didn't read everyone's comments, so someone might have already mentioned this. But as far as having to get two rooms, last time we went with my mom, dh and ds, we got a suite at All Stars Music and really liked it. My mom said that the pull out sofa was actually pretty comfortable.

Just thought I would share. Can't wait for more installments to your report.

Well hello and welcome! I'm glad that you're along for the ride. We ultimately decided that we would go back to the CBR simply because Mama felt comfortable there and thought it was so pretty.

Hope you'll continue to post your thoughts!

Great updates Lisa!! I love reading your reports, they are so detailed and make you feel like your right there with you.

I sometimes worry that I may put in too many details and that I may bore some of you.

Love your report!!

Subing!popcorn::

Welcome! I love having new readers! Hope you will feel free to post along the way!

I cannot wait to try Soarin with my family this year. A brand new thing for us. Both kids are tall enough and I'm super psyched. Reading your TR made me even more excited. :goodvibes

I love going to Disney and trying out new things. Soarin' is awesome!

After a weekend in Akron, I had alot of catching up to do on your TR, which I was REALLY glad to have something to escape the evil thoughts I was having toward my DH. :rotfl:Family....they give you the tackiest gifts and then DH thinks you have to put them out even though they will never see it. :lmao: And, nothing like the ugliest house number sign you have ever seen for all the neighborhood to say "We knew they wouldnt add class to the neighborhood :rotfl2::rotfl2:.

I liked the pictures of Living with the Land. We have never seen it, but I do plan to put it on the 'list' now. I would love to get my mom to go with us. She would be the same way with my kids that your mom is with Hunter in the mornings.

Ummmm evil thoughts towards husbands and their families. Nope! I've never ever ever ever had those.:rolleyes1 Isn't it horrible when you get something tacky and you know you just have to put it out so they'll see it the next time they come around. At least my husband knows his family is nuts.

Hopefully, you can talk your mother into going to Disney with you guys. It really is a different sort of trip.

Another great update! I also love Living With The Land. Your pics turned out great! I never can get good photos of the fish, they are always blurry. Also glad your mom is doing so well.

Terri

I was surprised that my pictures in the fish section turned out as well as they did. They are usually all weird looking.

I know I'm late but I followed you over from Jordan's report.

I'm loving your report so far. We drive from Baton Rouge and our drive is a little shorter than yours.

Can't wait to read more.

Hello there! So glad to see you here! Baton Rouge! That's not that far from us.

I'm back, and now I'm caught up! We missed Living with the Land this trip, but I did get to ride Soarin' with my mom and aunt (her first visit), so I was very excited. We got to eat at Sunshine Seasons for the first time, too....all good stuff!

Glad to see Mama was handling things well, and that you got to meet with another Diser! I am jealous of your ticker, though...still trying to work on the hubby for the December '11 trip when I've graduated with my Master's degree. It feels odd not having a ticker...:sad2: It's so neat to look at your CBR pictures now and know I have some similar ones of my own! I could imagine you going into Old Port Royale and looking around the giftshop and the food court...yes, I'm easily amused. ;) Keep the updates coming!

Welcome back! I found your report and am already hooked!

I had to have a ticker. I would go crazy without it!

Loved the update! I'm glad to hear mama is getting on and off the rides good so far. You are really getting me excited about taking my mom for the first time this year. She has been once before but she only had a half day at each park and just rushed through this will be the first time with family:goodvibes

So glad to hear mama is going back with you next year and you have your dates! Can't wait for more!

Thanks Kathy! Mama did really well which was a relief!

Ooops, sorry. :rolleyes1

I've skipped Soarin the past two trips. The first, I was pregnant, so I had that excuse. This time was a little more difficult to skip it. My older daugther is at the point where things are starting to make her nervous and if I were to say that I didn't like Soarin because of the heights, next thing we'd hear from her: "I don't like Soarin. It's too high." Oh, the perils of being a role model for your children. :rotfl2:

It's okay! I have to be careful of what I say around Hunter sometimes too or else he'll be afraid to try something. It's a fine line we walk as mothers.

I'm just so excited that Mama is having a good time, and loving everything. Can't wait to read more.

I know! I was happy that she was having a good time!

Lisa,

I just love reading your trip reports. We are surprising our kids with a vacation in 7 weeks. They are going to be so excited. We've been telling them that it just isn't possible to take a trip there this year. I keep seeing things in your reports and want to run out and show them, but I can't for fear of giving it away. So glad your mom went with you guys!

Thanks so much! We surprised Hunter with a trip to Disney two years ago. I had changed jobs and had to cancel our Disney trip. We were surprised when my new boss told me to rebook. We didn't tell Hunter and it was a total shock to him! We were officially "the best parents in the whole wide world".

I so remember wanting to talk about the trip but then remembering that I couldn't. So your kids have no idea they are going to Disney?

I've been away from the computer for a few days, so yeah for me!! I got to get 2 updates! Love looking for Hidden Mickey's! The kids and I have made it our project the last couple times to find some new ones. Thanks for the photos. I hadn't seen these, either. Next time we're there, we'll have to be on the lookout (and now I have the advantage).

I have more hidden Mickey pictures coming up. Maybe they will be new to you!

Lisa, still with ya. I just don't know what to say about my dissing here lately. I have been so blah because the trip is over. I am really down about the oil spill too, my heart is breaking over the damage being done and the animals dying.

I know! It's hard to watch the news.

Great update!!:thumbsup2 We love Living with the Land!! You got so many great pictures! Loved all your hidden Mickey's! So glad to hear that Mama is doing so well and having such a great time!:goodvibes

Mama did really well which pleased us all!

I'm with ya on the oil spill. Too sad for words.

I'm so sorry for everyone who lives around the oil spill. I live at the beach and I can't imagine anything like that I cry several times a day when watching the news, it just seems to be more bad news each day:sad1:

It's such a sad thing to see! As a young girl, we would go to South Louisiana and fish. It was such a beautiful place to visit. So very very sad!

Whoo Hoo!!! I was not that far behind!!! We did Soarin for the 1st time & we LOVED it!! But I won't give away too much, you'll just have to read it in my TR when I start it. So glad to hear Mama is doing so great!!!

Welcome back hoome! Wasn't Soarin' the best!

The tooth fiasco was as funny this time as the first time I read it. Super Glue to the rescue. :rotfl2: My 15yr old DD is as spoiled as Hunter by her Grandma. She has been on more vactions in her short life than I have or ever will. EU is our lunch spot at EPCOT. Seems to appeal to all picky eaters one way or the other.

They have no idea! We moved back to the states in late February and told them that we would get them to Disney as soon as we could. Later we let them know that we just couldn't afford it because we are saving for a house and a big trip to Hawaii next year. Last weekend we surprised them with a weekend trip to Great Wolf Lodge (for my birthday and Father's day;)) and we told them that that was their summer vacation.

Right now they are in Phx with their grandparents so I have all my Disney planning stuff out. My poor husband is so ready for this trip to get here. He's the only one I can talk to about it. LOL I can't wait to see my kids faces when they figure it out.

Glad your mom is having time! Hunter is so adorable, it's no wonder your mom lets him do anything! He's gonna be a heartbreaker someday that's for sure! ;)

Love all the details in your report...never worry your giving us too much!!! popcorn::

I'm so sorry for everyone who lives around the oil spill. I live at the beach and I can't imagine anything like that I cry several times a day when watching the news, it just seems to be more bad news each day:sad1:

I live about 30 minutes from Grand Isle, Louisiana. We are getting bad news each day. My husband, Shannon also works right out of Port Fourchon in the oilfield. He is in shallow waters and they are getting a lot of oil these past couple of days with this weather system we are getting. Hopefully the weather clears up and the tides turn to have the oil back offshore. Hopefully we can get the oil spill stopped soon.

:yay::woohoo::banana::dance3::cheer2:
Congratulations to Lacey!!!!

I'm one proud Mama!

Ooh, enjoy Georgia! We love that area. The mountains are so pretty up there. It's only an hour or so north from where we are. It's lovely.

Congrats to Lacey on graduation from 3rd year!!!

We've only been to Helen once, but it is really cute!

It stinks that you won't get to spend the summer with her. How much more time does she have of missionary college and what are her plans after?

Helen is such a cute little town! We like staying there but the traffic can be a royal pain. We are trying to decide what else to do while we are in Georgia. We are thinking maybe driving to either Chattanooga or Pigeon Forge. Any other ideas?

Great job getting your hotel booked and an extra day to spend in Georiga. And congratulations to Lacey!!!! :thumbsup2

I know! I knew that I just had to talk my boss into letting me have that extra day with my baby.

Wonderful news about your daughter and how nice that you will get to spend a weekend with her. I am sorry that you will not be seeing her all summer, though. Must be so hard to have a child who lives out of state.

But from the short time I have spent with you on your TR, I can imagine that you all will make it quite the adventure!!! :cloud9:

Lacey is a fine young woman and she makes her parents proud. It sucks that we won't get to spend much quality time with her. But, you're right, what little time we do spend with her will be craaaaaaazy!

Oh, I love Helen. We used to go every fall, it's so pretty up there! I know you'll enjoy seeing Lacey. My daughter Cindy moved to Memphis to go to grad school and I hated having to go a long time without seeing her. The day she moved back to Georgia was my happiest day!

Terri

We love Helen too but the traffic is horrible! We are trying to think of other things to do while we are in Georgia. Possibly a road trip to Chattanooga or even Pigeon Forge. Do you have any other suggestions?
