Who knew choking each other would earn us fastpasses?

I love the invites and the cake. Very simple yet elegant.

Remember back in the day when wedding invitations all had the pearly stuff on them and there were either roses or calla lilies on them? Well those days are long gone. Most of the invitations now look similar to greeting cards. I was surprised to say the least.

I do like the invitations though and the cake too because they are so "Lacey".

I wanted to share this with y'all.

GUEST: I just want to take my grandson to Disney World. I don't want to go to Epcot or anything. Just Disney World.
CM: Well, Disney World is the name of the whole resort. I believe the park you're thinking of is the Magic Kingdom.
GUEST: No, I don't want to go to the Magic Kingdom. I just want to go to Disney World.
CM: You mean the park with the castle, right?
GUEST: Yeah, Disney World
CM: Yes, ma'am, that's the....yes, that's Disney World. We sell four-day hoppers, five-day hoppers

After a little rest in the rocking chairs, we walked on over to the dock to wait on the next raft to come. We had decided that we'd go see how long it was until the next Country Bears show. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait long and we were soon sitting on a bench in the pre-show area. I sent a text to Dana and asked if they had left yet. If I am remembering correctly, they were driving home as we spoke....text.....texted. I wished them a safe trip home just as the doors were opening to the show. I took pictures of the pictures:

Unlike a previous visit to the Country Bear Jamboree, there was no woman tripping over me and scrapping her nails down my leg. Oooooh that soooo hurt! Make me squench up just thinking about it again. Ouch! And then I was dumb enough to rub hand sanitizer in it! Double ouch! Okay, shuttin' up about that.

Once again, we enjoyed the show and we were foot stompin' and hand clappin' along with everybody else in the theater. When the finale started, I took a few pictures:

I also took a picture of Big Al on my cellphone and sent it to Lacey. He's her favorite and I just had to tell her who we were watching at that moment. She sent a text back saying she wished she was there! Made me sad but I also knew that she was finishing up her last year at the Mission so she needed to be in Georgia and not with us.

We were starting to get a little hungry but it looked like everybody that was leaving the show was heading straight towards Peco Bill's. Instead of going along with them, we decided to go the other direction and headed to:

But, not before I took pictures:

Lisa, the invitations and the cake are very pretty. I really like the invitations; I like her idea of a glass top. I had a music box topper, I need to pull it out this year since it is such a big milestone.

I think Hunter shot another round or two while I shot another picture or two:

I forgot to mention that, at some point in time, we tried calling Mama to ask if she was ready for us to come and get her. We couldn't ever get her to answer her phone and we figured she was walking around the resort or napping. The reason we called her was because we were eating at Peco Bill's for lunch. You'll recall that Mama had been to Disney with us back in 2000. She has not forgotten about us eating at Pecos Bill's and how good the sauteed mushrooms and onions were there. That's why we had tried calling her....to see if she wanted to come eat with us. But, since we couldn't get her and our stomachs were telling us "feed me!", we went on in to Pecos Bill's.

The restaurant wasn't too terribly busy and John and Hunter told me what they wanted and went in search of a table. John ordered some kind of burger that had an onion ring and bbq sauce on it. I ordered a cheeseburger and Hunter ordered a plain burger. Once we had everything at the table, I went back and got all of the "fixin's" from the bar. This is my favorite part about eating at Pecos Bill's! Weirdo bedeirdo, I know!

John's burger:

Hunter's burger:

102_4130-1.jpg

I guess I didn't take a picture of my cheeseburger but I did take a picture of all of our fixin's:

102_4129-1.jpg

No, none of it went to waste. John takes all of the leftover fixin's and makes this odd salad thing-a-ma-bob. It's disgusting!

Stacking it:

102_4131-1.jpg

Mixing it:

102_4132-1.jpg

And eating it:

102_4134-1.jpg

I can't believe that he eats that! He said it tastes like a salad with some fries mixed in. I guess he's right but it doesn't look appetizing to me at all.

For dessert, John and I had the carrot cake and I think Hunter got the strawberry yogurt:

**I guess I'll stop here since I hear the fax machine ringing and we were expecting a large fax to come through from another attorney.

**Up next: More Magic Kingdom!

Very cool picture of the bee! Nice job! :thumbsup2

Love Pecos Bill's! YUMMMMM! John's burger looks so delicious! :)

Have they fixed the sound issues at Country Bears Jamboree? The last time we went it was nearly impossible to make out any of the words....the audio was TERRIBLE! It's a classic, so I hope it's fixed.

I love the invitations, they are so pretty. Just an idea, since she likes the Sunflowers, have you thought about using a sunflower topper? Just something since she is uncertain about the birds. Love the updates, my son was all over the birds near the shooting arcade. :)

fun update! love the pictures of the local wildlife ;)
I have to remember to bring Ashton see the Bear's this year; since he is tall enough for BTMRR and SplashMt I should remember it this year. In fact I just did the MK and Epcot maps and tagged the Jamboree so I hope that means I have it in my head this go round.

I know what you mean about rubbing hand sanitizer into a scrape. Your first thought is, kill the germs the person or thing gave you, then you feel the pain:scared1: I done it, I guess I didn't think about that alcohol is in hand sanitizer...DUH!

I really liked Pecos Bill, we were soooo stuffed after we ate. Love the fixins!

We missed the Bear Jambroee, due to reasons yet to be revealed ( hee hee you have to wait on my TR;) Looks like fun, definatly in Sept!

I think Lacey's invites and cake are very beauitful. It looks so springy and bright. While I sit here in almost 2 feet of new snow:sad2:

Carey

I LOVE the cake I've never seen anything like it before!

Enjoyed the update. I always take pictures of the birds in frontier land too. We missed the Country Bears last year and it will probably be 2012 until we can see them again. Looking forward to the rest of your day.

I like the invitations and the cake. :)

What I did not like at all though was the picture of the bumblebee. I'm scared to death of all those bees and such. Yikes! :scared1:

I think the uniqueness of the cake is what made Lacey fall in love with it.

Those birds were quite aggressive that day. Of course, it didn't help that there were people all around throwing bits of food at them.

I like the invitations and the cake. :)

Lacey is terrified of any sorts of flying bug....honey bees, bumble bees, beetles and even moths.

When I was a little girl, probably about 4 or 5, I was playing in a storage building we had on our property while my parents were mowing. I saw them waving their hands at me but I couldn't hear what they were saying because of the lawn mowers. I came out of the building and was immediately covered in bees. :scared1: My parents came over and threw me on the ground and were, literally, pulling bees off of me. My entire body was covered in bee stings and my parents' hands were stung up as well. They spent the night in the car outside the hospital because they were afraid I would might have an allergic reaction. Thankfully, I did not. So, you'd think that I'd be afraid of bees after that but I am not. I'm respectful of them but not afraid of them. Now, snakes.....that's a whole 'nother story.

Oh Lord! If I didn't know I was obsessed before, I now have confirmation that I am!:lmao: I can relate to almost every one of those!

A music box? Oh that's a neat idea!

I thought the bee pic was pretty cool too. He had so much pollen on his back legs.

Pecos Bill's is one of the counter service places that we eat at every time we visit the Magic Kingdom. Yummy!

I didn't really notice if the sound was bad at the Country Bears. The last time we were there, we sat at the back but this time we were kind of in the middle.

I love the invitations, they are so pretty. Just an idea, since she likes the Sunflowers, have you thought about using a sunflower topper? Just something since she is uncertain about the birds. Love the updates, my son was all over the birds near the shooting arcade. :)

We have thought about the sunflowers and are keeping that as an option too.

I think Ashton would really lke the bears. It's a lot of fun for all ages.

All I could think of was "who knows what kind of crap was under that woman's fingernails?" So, on went the hand sanitizer and Ouch it hurt!

I get so full when we eat at Pecos Bill's too. But, who can resist all of those delicious fixings they have on the bar.

You've got two feet of new snow? Our temperature was 79 yesterday and today it got to 68. I think we are in for a hot hot Summer.

The cake and invite are beautiful!!!! It's going to be a gorgeous wedding I'm sure. :goodvibes

Your Pecos Bills pictures made my stomach growl! I got the taco salad last time so I highly enjoyed that fixin's bar too. Yummmmmmy!

Love the pictures of the invites and cake. My 10 year old son is scared of birds. We were at Gatorland 3 years ago visiting the bird aviary and feeding them nectar. The birds land all over you and he was fine until one landed on his shoulder and pecked his ear. He threw the cups of nectar and ran for the door, with me following not knowing what had even happened yet. We had to go in the bathroom and get the bleeding stopped, then go to the concession for ice. It swelled quite a bit and he had a mark that looked like his ear was pierced for a while after. Now he won't go near anything like that and still talks about the bird that bit him.

"Blood on the Saddle, Blood on the Ground" :rockband: Big Al is my favorite also. John's Burger is my favorite and is a must every trip.::yes::

I love the invitations and the cake too! They both look so natural and I love that. You got some great shots of the Country Bear Jamboree. That show is so campy that it is great! And I've never been in the Shooting Gallery so it was fun to see pictures. Maybe I'll pop my head in there next time. You have to pay extra for it, right? I think that is why we've never bothered.

Great invitations & cake! I love the photo you took with the bumblebee in it! I was laughing at your photo of the fixin's because all of that stuff on bread is basically the sandwich I get from Subway. My boss makes fun of me & calls it a "condiment special". :rotfl:
Every time you mention the fingernail story, I cringe. I definitely would have put sanitizer on, too. You just don't know where her fingers had been!

Didn't get on yesterday, I was a busy boy, we went to the boat sport and travel show In Indianapolis. The cake looks awesome, something that Buddy the cake boss might make. We love pecos bills. Unfortunatly the last time we ate there I was somewhat dehydrated so after the meal I wasn't feeling to good. ( had the taco bowl YUMMM!!!) and at around 4 in the morning I woke up and vomited in the resort. Needless to say I wasn't going to miss epcot that day and was fine the rest of the trip.
