Who Is Your Vacation Planner?

I thought it would be interesting to see who actually does the WDW planning in your families. I do everything for us. DH just goes along with whatever I have planned.

I do everything and I'm happy to do it!

All my wife has to do is make sure she gets the time off from work. She has NEVER called MS. I book the flights, buy the APs, book the rooms,make the ADRs, etc.

It's me! DH and my dad are always part of the trip, but rarely provide input, and DON'T participate in planning. Not for a lack of trying to get them involved on my part, but they just "don't see the point"... mostly because I've already done the planning and things go like clockwork, and they seem to think that's all pixie dust. I've forced them to each tell me at least 6 and a half months in advance 1 TS restaurant they want to eat at during the trip, and if there are any special events, parties, etc they want to go to. From there, I figure it out and tell them what I have planned. They listen, smile, nod, and them promptly forget everything I've told them. They then spend the majority of the trip asking me what we're doing "today" and "tomorrow".

At first I was mildly resentful that I couldn't get any help. Once we got there, that lasted no more than 10 minutes of the entire trip. Now I'm just grateful that nobody's arguing or getting in my way!

This is so true of my DH too! He doesn't even pack! You would think that I was his personal vacation planner. From the dinner reservations (although he puts in his two cents), the dates, the flights, the park tickets, packing.... EVERYTHING!!!

Although I love every minute of it!

I do all of our "land" vacations, with just a few exceptions. (I even book the vacations for her and the kids when I'm not going!) My wife does our "sea" vacations.

I do all the reservations. My DW goves me the dates ( or ranges) and I go from there. The member website and KAYAK (for flights) are my friends.

I'm a single mom so there was only one way to answer (but back in the day, my ex always left the vacation planning to me - all he had to do was pack his own clothes.)

This is so funny because it is the exact opposite in our house. I do all of these things and LOVE it! DH just says "Let me know what days to take off of work."

I handle making the calls to member services, but we both plan stuff out equally.

DW is just starting to discover all the wonders of Disney info on the web, but she's had the Unofficial Guide and other resources to help plan everything out.

I deal with all of the Disney stuff (ADR's, Room Reservation, Magic Express) and we split dealing with the airlines - although she tends to deal with them a bit more (as a salesperson she's better equipped to handle the haggling than I am )

No way I am letting my wife plan all the details without me and I am sure she feels the same. We plan it together. We plan each day and we plan alternatives in case we change our minds while we are there.

I do all the planning for our trips. My DW has never called MS either
I book all the trips (along with managing our points), flights, schedule the meals etc. Since I travel a lot for work I think my wife just finds it easier for me to do it I enjoy it so its no big deal for me, it works well for us! She packs the kids and I plan the trips

I book and plan everything. My DH just shows up bag in hand Although we added on VGC and our DDs are on that contract. I think I had better start training my oldest because she loves planning and my youngest doesn't.

I suggest dates to my DW. Then I do almost everything else. I ask her opinion or her preference on some restaurants but I do the brunt of it.
Not complaining at all. I like to be in control.
Just like how I do not like having her drive....LOL
