My DH and I went to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Pride Park on Wednesday and they were great. I would love to marry Anthony Kiedis as I think he is yummy  .
Anyway that aside it got me thinking about sort of music people like as on our I -Pod we have music ranging from the Carpenters to Slip Knot and Velvet Revolver (the latter 2 being my choice).
My favourite bands are U2 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and I have seen them both in concert.
The band I would have most liked to see would have been the Stone Roses.

My favourite band is Bon Jovi :)

But I have lots of different bands on my ipod.

I saw U2 in concert last year Clare :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness, too long a list to put them all, but top favorites are:

From my youth:

Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music
Prince
10CC
Joan Armatrading

The present:

Still love the above but also:

Snow Patrol
David Grey
James Blunt
Blink 182
Greenday
Drunken Failure

Never heard of Drunken Failure?? :confused3 Im not surprised, its my daughters emo band who she plays drums for, so I have to mention them, look out for them in about 5 years time ;)

Hi Clare

Me and DH are off to see RHCP on Tuesday night, can't wait. We have seen them twice before so I know they will be great!

I also love Electric 6 (Dick Valentine is the person I would most like to meet), Green Day, Pink, Queen, Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver, My Chemical Romance, Seether, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper - I could go on, but it seems I already have!

The bands I would most like to have seen are Guns N Roses (with Slash), Queen and Nirvana. When I finally got to see the Foo Fighters (who yes I also love) I cried through the first half of the set because Dave Grohl has been my hero for so long and I couldn't believe I finally got to see him!

Blimey Claire, you could've opened a can of worms here.

That having been said, YOU WANTED THE BEST, YOU GOT THE BEST, THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD, FROM LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA - MOTLEY CRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simply the best.

Other bands are good and we have around 2000 songs on our iPod, but Crue are the best. More importantly, Crue fans are the best, (and there is a second line, which ends in "the rest" - but this is a family show).

Here endeth the lesson.

Singer - Ronnie James Dio. The best singer to ever grace a rock / metal band. Period.

Band - a joint first with Motorhead just pipping Slayer to the winning post.

#Only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud,
So good you can't believe it's screaming with the crowd

I love all music.
I have been to over 100 concerts ranging from The Prodigy, Gun N Roses, Shed 7, REM right through to Take That (lots of times!!), Westlife, Boyzone.

You name it, I normally like it.

My fave music has to be Indie/Brit Pop.
I love RHCP too!

I also like Dido, Madonna - anyone really.

But I love The Carpenters, 60's & 70's music (Young Hearts run free is the best song ever!!).

I like Classical music too.

I could go on for hours.....

Music is my favourite thing, except DH and my bunny of course!! :rotfl:

Obviously I would say Vince Neil, but in the interests of balanced posting, one of th best has to be David Lee Roth, baby!!

From my youth and now

The Blue Nile
Genesis
Peter Gabriel
Prince

The Beautiful South - Paul Heaton is so underated in my opinion.

Morrissey/The Smiths

I used to love The Cure and their best song was 'Close to Me' ~ brilliant !!

I am one of those people who doesn't have a fave singer/group. I think most groups etc bring out a couple of great songs. I love mainly disco/rap and I was a huge fan of techno in the early 90's and disco in the 70's. The last album I bought was Eminem's greatest hits and my fave songs of the last few years are 50 Cent ~ In da Club and Jay-Z/Linkin Park ~ Numb/Encore. :)

OMG - How could I forget Robbie? :worship:

He is my absolute #1 fave.

I have kissed him you know - on the lips too!! :lovestruc

Oh, and the Kaiser Chiefs - they are brill.
Really want to see them live.

If I was a teenager, I would be in love with Ricky from Kaiser Chiefs

Beautiful south are superb but best live SHOW and entertainment is Meatloaf. Would have liked to have seen Queen but only with Paul Rogers but that was very good.
