Hoping that those of you who are stuck down in FL are safe and sound. I am hoping WDW is doing its best to make everyone safe and comfortable. Any reports from those currently down there?

Boardwalk is quiet this morning. A steady rain over the last hour that we've been up and some wind but not bad. We are getting regular updates by phone. They are serving a buffet breakfast at Trattoria al Forna for $15, and lunch for $23, less for kiddos of course. The Bellevue Lounge is serving the usual coffee and pastries & bagels, but we do breakfast in the room. Last night they had games and crafts in the lobby for kids. Everything else on the Boardwalk remains closed. And Disney recommends staying in the resort area. Local TV reports some power outages and lots of flooded streets. Most of the major problems are on the coast of course. We will spend the day visiting with family here.

I'm also at the Boardwalk. I have been very impressed with the preparation for the hurricane as well as the ongoing hard work and long hours the cast members have been putting into keeping everyone safe and as comfortable as possible.
I'm grateful that the hurricane is a little further offshore than what everyone feared. So far, so good. :).

We have DirecTV and are watching Florida weather stations (including WESH) on channel 361-2. They have a Weather Mix on 205 (or is it 206).
