Who is the nicest TV star's you have met and who are the not so nice?

I work security for one of our local event centers, so I've also met quite a few singers and comedians. The coolest people I've met here have been Randy Travis, Chris Young and Michael Buble.

I haven't really met many TV stars, but my mom says I have a "celebrity magnet" because I somehow manage to run into celebrities:

Nice: Clint Black (country singer), Elliot Sadler (NASCAR driver), Doug Stone (country singer), Fantasia Barino (met her literally weeks after she won AI, we talked with her for a few minutes and she told us about how her shoe broke during the AI finale), Clay Aiken (he had a cold at the time and he was so apologetic for being ill, it was so sweet!), Tony Stewart (NASCAR driver, Tony sometimes comes off as indifferent but whenever I see him he's surrounded by his "people" who are often distracting him from the fans, if they really need him for something they should wait till he's done), Dierks Bentley (country singer), Rodney Atkins (country singer)

Not nice: Billy Currington (country singer, super rude, he barely acknowledged my BFF and I)

My mom used to drive a limo and she says that Gene Simmons was surprisingly nice (good tipper too), the Hilton sisters (Paris and Niki) were *itches.

Never really met any myself, but my DDIL is an actress (child star) and she says her absolute faves who treated her great on the sets were Walter Mathau (sp?) and Richard Attenborough.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what young co-star those two actors had in common!

I can't think of anyone famous that I've ever met. Aside from some guy named SideshowBob , that is. And they don't come any nicer than he is :).

I was a background extra on Friday Night Lights. I cannot begin to tell you all how nice the cast was. Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton really would snipe at each other just like their characters. Taylor Kitsch, just as beautiful in real life, was as sweet as can be.
Kyle got to the point that whenever he'd see me onset or at a fundraiser, he'd come up and give me a hug. He's a real sweetheart. Can't think of anyone I've met who's been less than nice. It was that kind of set. Very family like.

I met many celebrities/politicians when I was a flight attendant. Of course, we would all often talk about the different people we had met.

Dolly Parton was, hands down, among the favorites. I never heard anyone say anything bad about here.

On the flip side, everyone cringed when the saw Oprah. Never heard a good thing about her.

My own personal favorites were Ron Howard and Christopher Plummer (anyone remember him?). They were so nice. Christopher Plummer and his wife were 2 of the kindest people I have ever met. Seriously, class and grace just oozed out of them.

My least favorite was Bob Vila. I didn't recognoze him and that offended him. Richard Gere also made one of my co-workers cry once.

I had Cindy Crawford on 2 different flights. The first time she was not nice. Not rude or anything. Just not nice. Years later, I had her on another flight and she was super nice, so I really tried to cut them a break if they weren't very talkative and just wanted to keep to themselves.

I met Samantha Brown at WDW. She was so very nice! SHe was working that day, taped the parade during MVMCP. She is so tiny in person! when I asked for a picture someone in her entourage automaticly put out his hand to take my camera without asking.

Not a TV star, but I also met Victor Petrenko (the Gold medal figure skater), we were both on a plane and while waiting to board I asked for his picture, he said yes, but then disappeared until boarding time. I think he wanted to be inconspicuous and I went and blew it for him!:rotfl: Either way he was nice about it, almost shy. and WOW was he short!

Anybody ever meet Christopher Walken?

I would so hope he is an awesome person, he is one of my top
3 actors for sure!

I heard a horror story about Oprah from a flight attendant who worked a flight she was on. Oprah was incredibly rude to several people and refused to acknowledge the flight attendant who came up to her to do whatever normal flight attendanty thing she was doing (like offering a drink - it was a totally work-related thing done perfectly politely as to everyone else in the section). After the flight attendant was ignored a second time, Oprah got all shirty and said she wanted a black flight attendant to take care of her and wouldn't speak to anyone else. She was apparently really, really not nice about making this 'request.'

They had to swap stuff around to get a black attendant (who was there, just assigned to be working in a different area of the plane), who Winfrey was nice to, except she acted like the flight attendant would understand why she 'needed' to be waited on/assisted by a black person. The flight attendant did not understand but didn't want to anger her further.

Met George Takai & Christopher Lloyd a few years ago at a Star Trek convention. Both very nice & down to earth.

Didn't meet but heard William Shatner speak during the convention. He was entertaining but annoying & at one point called Leonard Nimoy a bore (not really but it rhymes with bore) to his face. Needless to say I'm not a fan anymore.

A famous photographer gave an interview recently and said Christopher Plummer was the most self-absorbed celebrity he's ever met in his life.

I have also heard very negative comments about Oprah from flight attendants in re demanding black attendants. Honestly, since the woman is richer than god, I wonder why she doesn't have her own plane, so she can hire only black workers.

i also think i once saw a Granada Reports News reporter once in a takeaway in Bolton but wasn't sure if it was them or not

The majority of the people I have met are singer/songwriters . . .

The BEST: Martina McBride - I have met her several times and she has always been such an angel, Lee Ann Womack - I have actually kept her dogs and worked her merch table. She is so funny and has the best laugh. Little Big Town - I just love them each time I meet them they are super swett and will just carry on a conversation. Trisha Yearwood, Melissa Peterson (Singing Bee, Reba).

Nice: Carrie Underwood. She is sweet but was not overly sweet. Pam Tillis was nice. Barbara Mandrell was nice but in a hurry when I met her.

I was in Sydney last month doing the harbour bridge climb and our guide was one of the guides that took Oprah and her large entourage up (well, not all of them made it up, quite a few of them failed the breath test you have to take before you climb!) He said that out of the whole group Oprah was the friendliest of them all. She was the only one who shook his hand and thanked him after the climb was over (and this was when no cameras were around.)

Years ago my college roommate and I waited six hours to meet Peter Falk at his hotel. It was so worth the wait as he was so gracious and kind to us and spoke with us for several minutes. :thumbsup2

Dierks Bentley was also very sweet. I didn't meet him personally but when I threw 2 sets of beads up to him on stage he made a point after the song he was singing to literally hand one set back and then threw the other into the crowd. :goodvibes

George Takai is the man! I would love to meet him.

Mr. Takei does the Vegas Star Trek convention just about every year AFAIK. He's also going to be here in Dallas for Star Wars Fan Days (he voices a character on Star Wars: The Clone Wars).

I've been a Broncos fan since I was young because one of my friends in school was one. Last year, I moved to Colorado. Since then, I have gotten involved in an organic coffee business. One of the "diamonds" in the area who holds meetings is Rod Smith (a former Denver Bronco and one whom I always admired a great deal.) He is just as nice as I always thought he would be. I actually met him about a week before I got involved in the business because he asked on Twitter for bucket list wishes and the one I mentioned was to meet him. He had me on his radio show and when I was at the intro meeting for the business eight days later, he still remembered me. He may even be coming to my wedding in October.

That's ridiculous. She DOES own her own business and they are not one race.
