Who is the BEST DPS Photographer?

Hello Everyone!

This topic usually stirs up emotion (good and bad). I am doing a 3-park photo shoot. UNFORTUNATELY, my desire to have pictures in the Parks is quite strong. At the same time the nervousness of DPS desecrating my photos is even stronger. But, I'm a risk taker. So in your opinion who is the BEST DPS Photographer? At what point do I request who I would like to be the photographer for my in-park photo shoots? I am looking to hear good and bad experiences because some DPS Photographers may be good one day and suck the next. Thanks!

If you go to disneyeventphotography.com you can preview each photographer's work. Amy (IMO) did have some of the best work, but I guess it depends a lot on the style photography you like.

We've requested Amy based on her pics on the DPS website and her work she did for a friend of mine who got married earlier this year.

The only person my DFi and I could agree apon was Amy. I plan on requesting her for my weddding, park shoots, and if I do it my engagment shoot.

I saw someone had Dean as a photographer awhile back, and his shoots were good. I'm thinking of requesting him as my back-up/2nd photographer.

There wasn't a 2nd photographer on the website I would even consider letting do my wedding. I'm just way too piticular on what I want.

I had Dean for our E-Pics and he was fantastic! I will be requesting him if we do an MK shoot for sure!

We had Regina for our MK shoot (which turned out great) and she was an absolute doll. But, I've seen great photos from quite a few of the DPS photogs (and some not so flattering ones) I would try to check out as many pics as you can and look into the disneyeventphotography.com to get a sense of the style of their main photogs (not all are on the site). Hope it helps!

We requested (and got) Amy for our 2-hour contract with the Escape package. We were very pleased.

Awesome! WHEN did you request her? I guess I was curious how far in advance should I tell Disney who I would like to have. Thanks.

David and Vicki Arndt! They are the husband and wife team. They shoot a lot of high end weddings for Disney and non Disney Weddings.
I worked with them several times on some very nice Non Disney Weddings.
With them, you are getting two top notch, level 4 (as Disney calls it), Senior Photographers.
I think they've been doing Disney Weddings since the 90's. Very classy and professional, their style is fine art and photojournalism.
They come highly recommended in the Central Florida Community.
I am having a surprise VR for my parents and we were planning on doing an Epcot Buffet Dinner at Lower UK. I just heard that David and Vicki Arndt are leaving DPS, (not sure if it's true yet), but if they are, I'm changing to SBP or the WP. I work with photographers all the time in my business and I know most of the Disney Executive Weddings and Couture Weddings have been photographed by David and Vicki Arndt. I'm spending a lot of money on this event and I only want the most expierenced and "THE BEST"!

Mike Strickland is the best!!!! He was so nice to work with and does great work!!!!! you can see some of his work on the disney photography website. Very nice to work with and his pictures are beautiful.

I had Ty. He took some creative pictures I love and photoshopped some amazing effects into a couple. I really love my pictures.

We had Mike Strickland for a private Bridal shower and he was amazing!
Paul did our MK photos - love him as well but I think he left DPS?

They can't guarantee the request, but they do try their best to get you the photographer you requested.

We had Joe for both our wedding and our BPS at AK and Epcot. He was great to work with and did an awesome job with our photos. I reccommend him 150%!

We had Joe too! He is such a sweetheart and really put us at ease. I really love my pics... he did our SBP Escape wedding and Epcot shoot.
