Who is Sandi Patty? CP narrator

I see from the boards that Sandi Patty is the narrator for CP on Dec. 19. Has anyone ever heard her? Please give me the scoop on her. Does anyone know who the narrator might be on Dec. 22?

They performed at my church in Cumming, GA a few weeks ago. We missed out but I heard it was wonderful. I believe you will not be disappointed.

I don't think that they have announced this year's narrators yet, though Sandy Patty has done it in the past. I have seen the show at least a dozen times with a variety of narrators. She was very good - actually, they all are - but I thought James Avery was the best of all.

Sandi apparently has this as a performance on her website so it sounds fairly reliable.

Thanks. It shows on her website that she will be at Disney doing this. I have never heard of her. I read some mixed reviews on her narrating the CP. I became a little worried and wondered if I should change nights.

Sandi Patty is a Christian singer. She is outstanding and certainly don't think you will be disappointed if she is the narrator at CP the night you are there.

Sandi Patty is a christian singer. She has I think 4 Grammy awards and 24 Dove awards. I saw her in concert last week and she is an unbelivable singer. I hope she at least sings one song during the CP program. It would be a treat for all in attendance.

You will surely not be disappointed in Sandi Patty's performance at the Candlelight Processional! The difference in her participation and some of the other narrators is she will actually sing along with the choir, and not just read the passages. She reads and sings very passionately and with conviction. As a bit of trivia, before the special Millennium version of Illuminations, there used to be a special holiday version of Illuminations they would run in December. Sandi Patty had a prominent solo in that holiday edition.

Sandi Patty has a tremendous singing voice--it would be great if she does get to sing as well as narrate. paladin, we saw James Avery last year & he was wonderful. We thought we were getting Angela Bassett & at first it was kind of a let down that she wouldn't be there. Mr. Avery was full of upbeat energy & has a fantastic, powerful speaking voice. We also feel he was the best narrator we've seen for CP!

I did some searching for the narrators and found this on DIS,

"AT THIS TIME THERE IS NO ANNOUNCEMENT OF WHO THE 2003 CELEBRITY NARRATORS WILL BE. WE WILL BE MONITORING THIS AND WILL PUBLISH IT HERE AS SOON AS IT IS RELEASED."

Somebody in chat just told me a few names of possible narrators but there are not any dates set yet....not sure where they got the information..

I read on the boards that Sandi Patty was the the CP on Dec. 19. I also checked her website. Under concerts it lists her at Epcot. Hope this helps. Have not seen anything from Disney yet.

You will not be disappointed! I love to listen to her sing. She has a wonderful voice. (She also lives in the same town as I do and its neat to see her out and about!) She performs at the White House often.

We would love to hear Sandi Patty. Unfortunately, we won't be in Disney while she is there. In 2001 we were able to hear James Avery. We are SO hoping we will get the opportunity to hear him again. He is just wonderful. Last year we heard Gary Sinise. Although he was okay, James Avery was much better!

No official word of narrarators for this year's Candlelight Processional have been announced, so everything you are readying at this point is rumor. Until all contracts are officially signed, sealed and delivered there will no official announcement. Stay tuned for the official announcement.
