Who is Prince Philip?

So we were in the Disney store yesterday and they had costumes 25% off so we got to looking. DD2 has been saying she wants to be Mickey or Minnie Mouse. DS4 decided on a character named Prince Philip - I think he liked the shield and sword. Who is Prince Philip? What story is he from? We have totally missed this one.

Prince Philip is Sleeping Beauty's prince. In the movie he kills Malicifent while she's a fire-breathing dragon.

He's Sleeping Beauty's Prince-her version of Prince Charming...I always call all of them Prince Charming though, it's simpler

I'd pick him for sure! He's the best prince there is, in my opinion. Classy, fun-loving, gallant, brave, romantic, handsome...and he has more than a bit part (unlike Cindy's and Snow White's princes)! He loves Aurora when he thinks she's just a commoner in the woods, and has the guts to stand up to his father for what he believes is right. Great cape, too!

I think I would absolutely melt if I saw him in the parks. Has anybody seen him, outside of a parade? Where he's....approachable?
