Don't forget to check your email daily just in case they offer POP'ers any upgrades again this year. It was early June when people started receiving offers to move to OKW/SSR and the fact that most of the values are completely sold out (and have been for weeks) and the free dining promo is still bookable for over a month might just create the same scenario as last year. (Please keep in mind this is pure speculation on my part -- nothing I've heard any rumors about.)

Wow....I might be up for a free upgrade, I didn't know they do that. I also just got a 30% coupon for the same dates we are traveling now, so I might see if we can upgrade with that and what the difference would be.
My DD really wants to stay in the Pop thought, so I don't know if I really want to make a change.

I was thinking the same thing. I checked my records and I booked my upgrade to SSR last year on June 8th. I hope it happens again this year!!!

Pardon my ignorance, but is there a process by which Disney decides who gets an upgrade offer? Is it only for return guests, AP holders, or just randomly assigned based on whomever has booked (and whose email addresses they have on file)? Thanks in advance!

I have no idea. In our case I didn't receive the offer but my DSIL did and since our reservations had been linked so we could get a room near each other they let us have the upgrade too.
I have no idea how they selected who got the upgrade. It did seem to be only for those booked over Labor Day weekend. Also, it was not just for folks booked at Pop, it was all values. I was booked at ASMU last year when I was offered the upgrade. I heard about the upgrade on these boards...I never did receive an email notifying me about it. I took a chance and called Disney and I did have the upgrade linked to my name so I was able to get it.
