Who is my Guide ?

I ask this question cause I have noticed that many here seem to have only one person that they deal with for DVC . But I looked into DVC before my cruise with one guide , and ended up buying on the cruise form another .

The first guide was at the mall , and obviously I am not making future transactions from the cruise ship . And I belive that the guide in the cruise works out of SSR . So am I now obligated to do future transactions with him ? I liked him but not sure how I feel about him being out of state .

But if I try to do anything it would have to go through him first or I can request a change . I probably wouldn't do that he was very good .

Sorry I did not follow that. :confused3 If you are not pleased with the one you have been given it is your choice to change to someone else.

You just have to contact Member Services. Many of us have guides that we only contact through phone and do not live in the same area. In fact my original guide left DVC and I was given a replacement. Unless I want to add on, we have no contact other sales mailings and email.

As to who is your guide, I would guess the one that made the actual sale.

Should he be sending me promo offers, or would I need to contact him when I want to add on .

Also after becoming a member are there better incentives to buy ?

Disney uses a marketing matrix to target sales and different Guides do different things to make sales. Some do mailings, some will call you, some even call you while on your Disney vacation. They are governed by real estate law so depending on your State, there are things that they are allowed to do and not do.

Many use the "we are family" sales approach but the reality is they want you to buy and not take up their time unless you are in the market.

Existing members will usually get a "special" offer or reduced minimum.

Your "guide" is a fancy way of saying your "salesperson"... Their primary interest is in your money... Other than that, they're not needed nor want to be bothered.... in my opinion.

I actually changed my guide lastnight. I won't go into the "whys" but all you have to do is call 800-800-9100. Now if you have the name of a guide you would like great. If not they will have one call you back.
