Well plans have changed thanks to DCL. Right now my trip for this year is on hold. Why you might ask? Disney is coming MUCH closer to home in 2012. In roughly 1 year and 8 months I will be sailing out of the port of Galveston on a 6 night cruise thanks to DCL's announcemet today! My dates are 12/15 to 12/21(I think I got that right). There is a small possibility that my dates might be sooner depending on what dates are available. I am just so excited!!!! that Disney is coming closer to home.

DCL is doing a 15 day cruise to HAWAII in 2012 and DH wants to go! As of right now, our Travel Agent has a hold on it. I want to be as excited, but I am in school during those dates, and I am just not sure if that would be wise...

He says the solution is EASY...just skip that semester and make it up in SUMMER SCHOOL!! Hummm.....

Hmmmmm....that just might be tempting.....something the family has mentioned wanting to do....but DD needs a job and schedule and DS is just starting a new job, so we'll have to wait and see how things settle in.....BUT, you should go for it, Eva!!

I'm already skipping next winter. I've decided to spend January in Florida and end the time with a Cruise to the Western Caribbean. I need to work the Spring quarter, so can't do the DCL Hawaii cruise. I would love to and I hope they do it again sometime!

Nice that you can do that... Very cool to spend COLD January in the Florida sun... Yea, hopefully they will do other trips to Hawaii...

I would also like to do the East Coast/Canada cruise too...maybe spend a few days in NY before or after the cruise.

Did you book the cruise, Eva? I hear it is already sold out, so hope your TA snagged you a room.
We were thinking about it, but never heard back from DS, so guess it wasn't meant to be.

We are doing an east coast cruise in June, but not NY.

Yes, our TA has a room held, but we are not sure we can come up with the full deposit in the 3 days we have to for it... We are right in between paydays... I don't doubt that might be sold out already...it is probably REALLY POPULAR! Maybe they will do more..and then we can BOTH go!!

Supposedly they do have ports booked in HI for other dates, so they just might.

I think some rooms may open up when that deposit is due!

I don't have a TA here. I need to remedy that before the next specialty cruise comes.
It sold like that for the Panama one too. And all those gold and platinums doesn't help.
Makes me mad that I have cruised for 29 nights, but only counts as 2 cruises

Good luck......we might go with another line too. $800 less, so we'll see. (at least at what I was looking at)

Hey if you need a TA....let me know, ours is REALLY GOOD!! Plus, if we need to cancel our reservation, she can turn around and get yours... She actually specializes in cruises and stuff...

Yes, there are many gold and platinum members out there... maybe someday we may be there too...

Not going to do anymore reservations for awhile.....I do think I have enough booked right now
We are adding 4 days in Las Vegas in Aug.....and go to our house in WA for a week in Sept......so that should do for awhile.

I use AAA, just haven't been to one here to meet anyone. Love my person in WA. I might use her to book the BFF cruise for Sept. 2012.

Well I'm booked, just have to do deposit by Wednesday. My new date is 11/24/12 for 7 nights out of Galveston! This is my post birthday cruise.

Our next cruise is supposed to be a family one and DS starts a new job next month, so we'll have to see how the vacation situation is after that.

Figured I'd drop by here- I'll be at Disneyland on Saturday the 23rd of this month.. I may or may not go on either the 14th or the 21st, but I'll for sure be there on the 23rd! I'd love to meet a DISer!
