So as of today, I have 34 days left. I still have not received my mickey mail so I broke down and called yesterday to find it's on it's way. I'm becoming very impatient now. I need my Disney fix! I find myself running out to the mailbox everyday.

You guys deserve a special day to be recognized as the hard working, loving, problem solving, and dedicated Mothers that you are! Please know that most fathers and kids recognize and worship the ground you walk on! Keeping a family running is a huge task that over the years has changed. making what you do even harder!
So today I pause from my self absorbed, self indulgent, cheese ball eating, video game playing bliss to recognize you all! THANK YOU for being a MOM!

Luggage tags are pretty!! But could they get any more complicated on ways to attach them?? 23 days and woooo hoooo.. We decided to leave on the second after work! Who wants to lay in bed tossing and turning waiting for that 4am alarm??
Does anyone sleep the night before you leave for Disney?!?

I don't sleep the entire week before.

Our plan is to start our drive the night of 6/17. My DH is allowed to leave before 4:30 just in case a flight would come in that he'd have to take. Crossing our fingers that doesn't happen. We'll rest and pack the truck. I'm hoping to hold the boys off for a later bed time. 9:30 ish and then jump in and start the drive.

We were going to spend the first night in Daytona so we could unwind and play at the beach but now DH wants to catch a baseball game that night. Looks like we'll stay at the Hilton DTD that night instead. Head over to the Poly early, early on 6/18 to check in and then head to MK! I'd much rather stay at DTD. That way the baby and I can walk over to DTD and shop

I'm in the 20's, 29 days to go! We have an early flight, leaves at 8am so we'll have to be out of the house by 5:30ish to get up to Philly. I'll probably sleep a bit but I'm sure I'll be up around 3 so I don't miss the alarm. I get paranoid about that! Then I'll probably go over my packing list a few dozen times. I get a little crazy but once I'm in WDW, it's all good!

Just a question, do you guys do the online check-in? Just wondering if there are any adavantages or disadvantages?

Normally we fly out of philly at 7:00 in the morning but have our driver pick us up at 4am! I know it's an overkill but we are at the airport instead of sitting in the living room bouncing off the walls.. One step closer to being there. Now we just payed for another night at the poly..(night before real arrival date) We won't even arrive at the resort until 11p or so.. We ares sooooo crazy!

Here is how online check in works. You check in 10 days prior to departure. The computer processes your request and assigns a room. When you arrive your package will be waiting for you at a special check in area. Your room keys and celebration buttons will have already been bundled up. So you walk up show your ID and your CC.. They hand you your package.. Your done.. Easy!
But if you are staying club level online check in is useless! And it actually takes away the experience of going to CL to check in. You check in at the GCH just like everyone else.
My advise, if you are staying CL don't do online check in. If you are staying in a regular room, do online check in. You will avoid the "I'm not happy with my room" people. Or the "I want" people.

I've heard of people getting an upgrade in room, we have a GV room booked do you think there is an advantage to on-line verse regular check-in in possibly getting an upgrade? Or is it just total randomness.

I would think that skipping online check in would probably give you the best advantage to receive an upgrade.. On line check in is done by a lonely night auditor the night before you arrive.. The compute basically spits out room assignments as per your reservation and the night audit "blocks" these rooms and makes up your package with keys and your celebration buttons.. Just Remember, getting upgraded is a rare and special thing that only happens when the world of "mommyoftwins" is lined up with the stars of mickeys magical hat. here is some magical pixie dust!! It doesn't hurt!!

Thanks for the advice! I know it doesn't happen often, but maybe we'll get lucky! Either way I'll be in WDW in 27 days!!!
