Right now we have ressies for 12/18-1/7 but we may not be able to make it until 12/26. I haven't changed the res yet. We want to wait and see. I will be there with DW, DD16, DS13, DS11 and DD4! Can't wait

Boy I can't believe the bad luck with your new camper. I hope they are going to put you up at the Lazy Days campground for a day or two so you can make sure that everything is fixed before you bring it all the way home. We were looking at buying a unit from them 2 years ago and they mentioned that they provide free camping, in their adjoining campground, for new units so that people can try out their new camper. I sure would want to do that, if it were me. Plus they have a great indoor pool and hot tub.

When my husband dropped the camper off, he told them to take their time. The service dept calls him about once every 2 weeks with an update. We were hoping for an Oct pick up (dropped off on Aug 6) so hubby and I could take a long weekend without the kids, but the last time I talked to them I told them about the reservations on Dec 26 at the Ft. She said she will make sure it is done by then. We are 8 hours away towing the camper and 4 of our kids are in school, so we knew they would keep it for a while. I am sort of glad they are taking their time because now hubby has no excuse not to keep the reservations for Christmas. We did stay at Lazy Days when we bought the camper in May (at their expense). I think staying an hour away for a week will be fine. If more repairs need to be done after Christmas, we will drop it back off and maybe hubby and I will get that "alone" trip in Feb! However, I do miss seeing it in the driveway!
