I was just wondering how many of us from Louisian will be there. This year for Mardi Gras it seemed like Louisiana had invaded Disney World. I wondered how many people were left in Louisiana.

:waves:

I'll be in the World during Mardi Gras! :) It will be a welcome break from the crazies here in LA ;) :lmao:

It did seem more crowded in '08 than in previous years. We were actually suprised, thinking it would be the opposite because Mardi Gras was early last year. We think it was because of the poor performance of the dollar against the rest of the worlds equivelant. There were a lot of Europians and Brazilians at the parks. We are hoping it will be a little better this year, but we always seem to get eveything in. Regardless, we are at WDW and what else could be better. We always get a parade or two in before we leave, so the kids don't feel like they are missing anything during Mardi Gras.

I am from New Iberia and we are going the 21 -28 too. We are staying at POR. Last year a bunch of people I know from here went.

Count us in Feb 21 (my birthday) to March 1. 2008 was our first Mardi Gras trip, so I don't have anything to compare it too. I thought the weather was perfect! I think we may pass on 2010 since it is the same weekend as Presidents Day. From what I understand that's when the crowds are really bad.
It's always fun to see so many LSU t-shirts.

Ill be there whith my family from Feb 20 thru March 1,havent been to the World since 1983 (its been a long time)

We'll be there the 21st - 28th as well! Port Orleans FQ!

Last year we brought some beads with us and handed them out on Mardi Gras Day at the Studios. That night at Fantasmic, beads were flying everywhere! So bring some with you and have fun with them!

Wow, it's really a long time ago since you got there.

How is it feel? Maybe, you feel that it's still your first time going there:)

Enjoy and have fun. :)

We'll be there!!! Feb. 21-25--Short visit this time. I'm a teacher and we go back to school on the 25th, so I'll miss one day. We'll be back the last week of May!!!!!!!!!!!

We've never been for MG. Are the giant European tour groups bad?? We went last July and I said never again!!!! October was great--no large groups to be found!!!

We are going as well, leaving Slidell on 22nd and coming back on the 28th. It was more crowded last year, but they had the cheerleading competitions that week at MGM which inflatted the crowds I felt. Safe driving you guys we will see you down there.

We'll be at SSR 2/21-2/28!! First time at Disneyworld in february and first time as DVC members!! We are staying in a 2 bedroom villa so i am also looking forward to the extra space! Hoping the crowds aren't too bad! I made all of our dining ressies and we are taking DD age 4 and niece age 4 to the Bippidi Boppidi Boutique! Wish DD age 13 wasn't missing school for a few days but this is Mickey were talking about after all:rolleyes1 I bet we'll see lots of LSU fans this trip, go Tigers!:goodvibes

We'll be there Feb. 22nd - March 1st. My DH grew up in LA, but is now an Ohio boy. We'll be looking for some beignets that week!

Any where close to get ashes on Wed? I feel guilty that we'll miss church.

We'll be there Feb 21 thru 27th; our first family trip and also first trip during MG. Can't wait!!!

Count me in....husband isn't from LA so he just doesn't "GET" Mardi Gras, so he said he would rather be in Disney which is fine with me:cool1:
