We are going for the first time. My youngest will want to be Elsa. My hubby and I are debating between Kermit/Miss Piggy or something and I have no clue for my 10 and 8 year old!
I'm going to, and I'll be dressing my 2 year old up. I want to do a family costume (Incredibles maybe? Mickey et al? Maybe a Dr Who theme), but my husband is grumbly and may not cooperate. If he doesn't, my daughter already has Minnie, Mulan, Little Mermaid, generic princess, Tinkerbell hand-me-downs. I'll probably get a short princess dress (going Oct 2 - will be too hot for full dress).
We are! DD 19mo will be Tinker Bell, I'll be Wendy and DH will be Peter Pan. It will be hot, so we've tried to keep things simple and cool. DD also has Tinker Bell pjs in case she isn't feeling the dress I made.
We're going but the 11 year old hasn't figured out what he's going to be yet. He didn't want in on our family costume. 8 year old is Elsa. I'm Anna. 5 year old is Olaf. And husband is Sven.
We're putting together costumes for most - though the 5 year old's is just an Olaf t-shirt. He has some sensory quirks so he struggles with wearing costumes on normal Halloween. We've found themed t-shirts work well for him.
I think we might just do tee shirts too. We leave in a week and doing the party on 9/1. I haven't started shopping for costumes quite yet and well I can't sew to save my life!
We'll be at the first party also! pixie dust: And absolutely dressing up! I'm going as Anna - if all goes according to plan (costumes get done in the next couple days) DH will go as Prince Hands. However, if we don't finish them in time, then DH will wear a Mickey t-shirt with ears. Our girls will be princesses and our little guy will be 'super mickey' wearing a Mickey onsie with a cape and (if he'll keep them on at all) ears.
I finally ordered our shirts. DH will have a superman shirt and I will have super girl. Still trying to figure out my 10 year old. She wants to be Wendy but I can't find a blue nightgown.
We usually don't wear full costumes due to the heat. But we do wear tshirts with a theme! Last time we went we were pirates and this year my mom and my sisters family are joining us so mom will have snow white on her shirt and the rest of us will be her 7 dorks, I mean dwarfs
Our DD6 will be so wonder woman and DH has a superman shirt and I'll be wearing a Wonder Woman tee that has a cape attached- lol. Only at Disney would I think of wearing such a thing but hey- why not?!?
