This is an idea from an old thread we had before but it was always quite popular, and its just a bit of fun.:)

You can invite 7 famous people to your dinner party, dead or alive, who and why?

Why 7? Well with you, that makes 8 a nice even number round the table!;)

1. Marilyn Monroe - A legend to me, fascinating, I want to know what really happened with her and the Kennedys.:cloud9:

2. Peter Kay - The man only has to walk on stage and Im laughing, you need laughter at a dinner party and it would have to come from him.:lmao:

3. Stephen Fry - I have to have some intelligence at the table and this is just the man to bring it. ::yes::

4. Robert Deniro- My all time favorite actor, so many good films, the conversation would flow all night with him.:smokin:

5.Oprah Winfrey- Chat show host, if the conversation starts to wain, Im sure she will be able to get it going again by using her brilliant chat show hostess style.:scratchin

6. Leonard Cohen - He could sing to my party at the end of the dinner! A legend, l was 17 when I bought his first album and 52 when I finally saw him in concert last year at the grand age of 79, and he was brilliant. One of the greatest singer-songwriters, and poets of our time, and he wrote a song about me...Suzanne. :mic:

7. and finally Josh Holloway for no other reason except he is Josh Holloway:lovestruc

So come on , who's next, who are your 7 dinner guests?:goodvibes

1. David Mitchell – Intelligent conversation

2. Jonathan Agnew – beautiful voice, humorous anecdotes

3. Miranda Hart – I’d love to hear more about her life and how she got into comedy

4. Mel Giedroyc – she seems so warm, I’d love to be her friend

5. Ellen DeGeneres - like Oprah she would be great to keep everyone relaxed and keep the conversation going

6. Richard Osman – he could host an after dinner quiz if the conversation wanes

All of them are much more intelligent than me so I’ll just pour the drinks and sit back and enjoy the banter.

Oh, and number 7 should be Gethin Jones – eye candy.

1. Magne Furuholmen - I have adored him since I was a child, he's an amazing musician and one of my idols

2 & 3. Ant & Dec - they would be very entertaining and funny

4. Walt Disney - such an inspirational man and such a believer

5. Dawn French - she is hilarious

6. David Beckham - of course it would just be to talk about his charity work ;-)

7. Gordon Ramsey - he can do the cooking :-)

1. Taylor Swift - she can entertain the guests after the dinner. I love her!

2. Whoopi Goldberg - very interesting woman who I had the pleasure of seeing narrate the Candlelight Processional some years ago.

3. Paul O' Grady - I find him hilarious and think he'd be great company around the table.

4. Bruce Springsteen - the Boss! Nothing more to add!

5. Piers Morgan - he must have some really entertaining stories to tell

6. Martina Cole - I'd like to hear where she gets the ideas for her stories

7. Donny Osmond - my teenage idol who I had the good fortune to meet on the Disney Dream a few years ago!

Fab thread idea :-)

1. Zelda Fitzgerald - her life sounds so interesting and she is always painted as being sociable and fun.

2. Countess Markievicz - she took part in Irelands civil war and became the 1st female cabinet minister in Europe. She was a kind and charitable lady and I would love to hear about her life.

3. Johnny Cash - to sing a few songs and get the night going.

4. Henri Toulouse Lautrec - he could paint beautiful pictures of the evening and bring some absinthe along!

5. Bernard O' Shea - an Irish comedian. He is hilarious and really captures the irish sense of humour and inherent self deprecating nature.

6. Dolly Parton - she is witty, beautiful and a fabulous singer. What's not to love!

7. Seth Rogan - I just think he is hilarious. My favourite comedic actor.
