Who invited Milton to her 21st Birthday?? An October 2024 Trip Report---UPDATED September 22nd!

I want to just praise your genius for adding the DDP for your one night stay! What a great idea, and I'm sure you came out ahead on your meal price versus adding it for the one night. :)

BEACH CLUB VILLAS 444

After riding Guardians we headed to Spaceship Earth.
I have no idea how long the line was but if I had to guess it wasn't very long or I wouldn't have waited.
IMG_3060 (1).jpeg

While in line for Spaceship Earth, I mobile ordered our lunch at Connections. We shared an order of Pepperoni Pizza and Mike got a beer because it came with it. I think this is a pretty good way to use a QS dining credit and it's definitely shareable since the slices are huge and you get two of them!

IMG_3064.jpeg

This was the next picture in my roll and judging by Allie's face, Daisy had gotten herself into some trouble back home! :rotfl:
IMG_3001.jpeg

Anywhooo...we started back towards the International Gateway because our room was ready.
On the way Mike stopped at the Hawaii booth on the way to try the Hawaiian Rice Bowl...
IMG_5288.jpegIMG_5290.jpeg

A very short walk later and we were at our home for the week.
I was surprised they had our room since it was only 2 pm!
IMG_5296.jpeg

We had a 2-bedroom lockoff booked. we did that on purpose so everyone could have their own sleeping spaces and this worked out very nicely for our group...especially since Allie and Clay didn't get to leave as planned and had to work from the room the last couple days!

Room tour...
IMG_5297.jpegIMG_5301.jpegIMG_5305.jpegIMG_5309.jpeg

It's hard to appreciate just how huge these rooms are from pictures but trust me, they are.

More room pics in next post...

BEACH CLUB STUDIOS 444 AND CAPE MAY DINNER

The lock-off studio...
IMG_5317.jpegIMG_5319.jpegIMG_5322.jpegIMG_5324 (2).jpeg
The place was huge! I could literally live in one of these and be quite happy!

After settling in and getting our bags and owners locker delivered we headed down to dinner.
I had said we used our dining credit at WBG but now, looking at the pictures I realize I misspoke.
We actually used our dining credit here...
IMG_5327.jpeg
We've been here once for breakfast which we all really liked a lot.
I think dinner here was okay but I'm in no rush to go back. It was convenient though which was a plus.
IMG_5333.jpeg

While we were eating Allie sent me some pics saying they were on their way! Yay!
IMG_3010.jpegIMG_1518.jpeg

Mike and I finished up our dinner and then we ran to Publix for some snacks and waters for the room on the way to the airport to pick them up. I have zero pictures from the rest of this night but I did get a good video coming back to WDW!

Everyone settled in for the night to get ready for our first park together the next day! That's next!

ROPE DROPPIN' THE WILDEST RIDE IN THE WILDERNESS

We were up bright and early getting ready to rope drop Magic Kingdom.
I was able to snag Boarding Group 3 for Tiana's 🥳
IMG_5354.jpeg

I think I had my mom's scooter dropped off the day before but honestly I can't remember.
In any case it was charged up and ready to go by this morning.
IMG_5355.jpeg

Ava was excited to be here!
IMG_5358.jpeg

We always take this pic with the car, I hope they never move it.
IMG_5362.jpeg

Everyone was in good spirits while waiting for the bus, but I'd be lying if I said I remembered how long it took...
IMG_5368.jpegIMG_5374.jpeg

By 8:45 am we were through security...or most of us were. Poor Clay was being frisked in the extra security line. His first time back and this was his first experience getting into the park. The security officer told him it was because his Apple Card is metal and zings off so after that he left it in the safe and I don't think he got pulled over again. Funny enough, I'm usually the one who gets pulled over for whatever reason but this day I got right through.
IMG_5377.jpeg

A quick castle pic as we zoomed to our first ride of the day.
IMG_5382.jpeg

The wildest ride in the wilderness!
IMG_5389.jpegIMG_5391.jpeg

Just the three of us went on this...I don't recall what Mike, my mom and Ava did in the meantime.
Since we had Boarding Group 3, we headed to Tiana's next!

The room looks super spacious! I love the Mickey shape of the plates on the table. :)

We've never done Cape May Cafe. I've wanted to go for breakfast, but it always ends up on the maybe list and gets cut for something else. Maybe this year will be the trip we actually make it over there!

So nice to have everyone together. :) Awesome getting Boarding Group 3 for Tiana's! I absolutely suck at being successful getting a boarding group at all, let alone a single digit! LOL

I'm here and ready for any Trip Report.

I'm so glad you're doing another one.

We drive a lot but our drive is shorter than yours. We try to stop at Bucee's too. DH loves the sandwiches. I love the bathrooms.

You're off to a great start.

After walking around checking out the resort (which only took about 5 minutes since it's so small :-))
::yes::
But it's also really nice. :)
we took the boat down the Sassagoula to Disney Springs. By far, this is the superior way to arrive to DS, beating bus, car and rideshare.
100% agree with this!
I think it's the biggest perk from staying at POR or POFQ.
IMG_5144.jpeg
You both look pretty content. :)
Mike has mixed feelings about this place since the very first time we went we sat outside on the upper patio and the sun was beating down on him and he was literally sweating so much it looked like he was running a marathon.
Oh dear...
I thought it was hysterical but he thought he hated WBG because of it! (I'm going to have to look for that pic because it's so funny!)

Find that pic!
he got a chicken salad sandwich that he really loved and because of that I got him to try again on this trip but little did I know they don't serve the chicken salad sandwich at dinner.
Ohhh... you're sneaky!
We got the
House-Made Meatballs
triple cheese polenta / tomato sauce
Artisanal Cheese Board
four artisanal cheeses / condiments
Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites
tomato nage / pecorino
Burrata with heirloom tomatoes / fresh corn / local sourdough
Yes to all of that! Yum!
I will definitely be back...with or without Mike! :rotfl:
EPCOTTIANS
I like this name. I think we should adopt it DIS-wide.
We ended up where I always end up...on the railing on the left side of the crowd to wait for Remy...
By design or by accident?
After our ride we headed to my favorite QS in EPCOT...
oooohhh... I haven't been there in ages... and I don't know why? It's terrific!
Mike and I have that Parisian Brunch reserved for our upcoming trip in October and I hope it's just as good as this...I have seen some pretty good reviews so far which is encouraging.
Parisian Brunch? What is this?
Haha...they couldn't be more different!
Very!
Coolest mannequin in the park... or any park.
I mobile ordered our lunch at Connections. We shared an order of Pepperoni Pizza and Mike got a beer because it came with it.
How was the pizza?
This was the next picture in my roll and judging by Allie's face, Daisy had gotten herself into some trouble back home! :rotfl:

:lmao: She does not look impressed... either of them!
Mike stopped at the Hawaii booth on the way to try the Hawaiian Rice Bowl...
How was that?
It's hard to appreciate just how huge these rooms are from pictures but trust me, they are.
Oh, no. I think it looks huge.
I think dinner here was okay but I'm in no rush to go back. It was convenient though which was a plus.

Nice.
:thumbsup2
You're a bit blurry, but you sure look happy! :goodvibes
Ava was excited to be here!
How could she not be?!?
Everyone was in good spirits while waiting for the bus, but I'd be lying if I said I remembered how long it took...
Seven minutes and 8 point 63 seconds.
Poor Clay was being frisked in the extra security line. His first time back and this was his first experience getting into the park.
Oh, geez. Of all the luck.
The security officer told him it was because his Apple Card
His what? What's an Apple Card??
Look at those happy smiles. :)

I've never eaten there once. It sure looks pretty good!

I also contemplated the Parisian Brunch, but was a bit on the pricey side for me since I'm not a huge breakfast eater.

That room looks so huge and so pretty! Love it! One of these days I'll finally get myself there.

We've never done Cape May Cafe. I've wanted to go for breakfast, but it always ends up on the maybe list and gets cut for something else. Maybe this year will be the trip we actually make it over there!
We really like it. Definitely try it if you're in the area. It's not as good as Topolino's or 'Ohana though!

So nice to have everyone together. :) Awesome getting Boarding Group 3 for Tiana's! I absolutely suck at being successful getting a boarding group at all, let alone a single digit! LOL
I got pretty good at the boarding groups!

We drive a lot but our drive is shorter than yours. We try to stop at Bucee's too. DH loves the sandwiches. I love the bathrooms.
That's fair! Mike loves the sandwiches too! We are already planning our drive-day for October and of course it includes dinner at Buc-cee's!

Find that pic!
Ok! Had to do a deep dive and remember when it was but I finally found it in October 2020!

Started off good...the patio was still in the shade...
mike3.jpeg

But as the sun started to move the whole patio was eventually in direct sunlight and as you know, that Florida sun is no joke! His whole head was soaked in sweat!
mike1.jpeg

Lol! I had to zoom in on his sweaty head...he wasn't very happy by this point :rotfl:
mike2.jpeg
I thought it was hysterical, especially since his shirt said, "Chillin like a Villain" and he was anything BUT Chillin'!

Yes to all of that! Yum!
I agree...they have the best food!

I like this name. I think we should adopt it DIS-wide.
I would love to take credit but I think it's what the Guardian's guy says in the pre-show before landing on Epcot-terrans. I like Epcottians better too!

By design or by accident?
I think it's habit now! I like an edge with one free side and I like to have a rail for leaning while we wait!

Looks good to me and includes bottomless mimosas too!

How was the pizza?
Not bad, especially for quick-service. It's not the puffy thick dough you'd normally see.

Judging from your plate, I presume it's buffet?
Yes! Sorry I didn't get pics of the whole thing and I think I was running out of pic space in that post.

Seven minutes and 8 point 63 seconds.
:thumbsup2

His what? What's an Apple Card??
I guess Apple makes a credit card and it's truly made of metal! Who knew!

:lmao:
I thought it was hysterical, especially since his shirt said, "Chillin like a Villain" and he was anything BUT Chillin'!

Ah. Well, you could've lied and I would've believed you.

I'd try that... if it wasn't ridiculously priced. Which I have no idea.
Yes! Sorry I didn't get pics of the whole thing and I think I was running out of pic space in that post.
I'll forgive you... this time.
I guess Apple makes a credit card and it's truly made of metal! Who knew!
Not me!

'OHANA MEANS FAMILY

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay but I've been super busy! I just got back from a quick 3-night cruise on the Wish and then went right back to work for the next three days.

We left off on Big Thunder Mountain and since we had Boarding Group 3 for Tiana's we headed right over there. Mike, my mom and Ava weren't quite ready to go on...well Mike never goes on, my mom is always freezing so won't go on if it's not super warm out, and Ava wasn't sure about going on...they all did something else and I have no idea what!

So again, it was just Allie, Clay and me riding Tiana's...
IMG_5406.jpegIMG_5411 (2).jpeg
Fun ride...definitely not as good as Splash but still fun.

After that we headed over to Main Street to meet up with everyone else.
IMG_5433.jpeg

And then headed out of the MK because we had breakfast at 'Ohana to get to.
We took the monorail over and had a short wait for our table.
IMG_5438 (1).jpegIMG_5440 (1).jpeg

Once we were seated they started bringing out breakfast...
This bread is incredible 😋
IMG_5446 (2).jpegIMG_5448 (1).jpeg

We definitely went through a couple trays of these...
IMG_5454 (2).jpegIMG_5456 (2).jpeg

Our Stitch selfie...
IMG_5473 (4).jpeg

At the time Ava was a huge Stitch fan which is why I made this reservation but everything was so delicious, we all loved it.

More food pics in next post...

'OHANA CONTINUED

Mike's favorite part of any breakfast...
IMG_5497.jpeg

Pluto was super cute and spent a lot of time at our table.
I think that's one of the reasons I liked this breakfast so much was that the characters
weren't in a huge rush and we were able to get lots of cute pics.
IMG_5511 (1).jpeg

After breakfast we headed back to the Magic Kingdom and while I was walking through the tunnel I hear, "Kelly?"
I turned around to see the famous Kari @katstoney!
IMG_5539.jpeg
Some of you will for sure remember her from here because she wrote the best, funniest reports on the Dis in the Dining Reports section! I was lucky enough to be her roomie on our EPIC Dis-meetup trip in 2019 and she is just as kind and funny in real life. Neither one of us had any idea the other would be there so it was hilarious that we ran into each other there! We had a quick chat because we were rushing off to our LLs and she and her family were leaving the park,
but it was so good to see an old friend

Back with my group, we all headed to Pirate's and from my time stamps it took us about 6 minutes
with our LL to board our Pirate ship...
IMG_5552.jpegIMG_5555.jpegIMG_5592.jpeg

From there we headed to the Tea Cups...I'm not even sure why or if we had a LL.
Apparently Mike, my mom and I crammed into one cup,
IMG_5563.jpeg
I'm guessing Allie, Clay and Ava were in another but I don't have a pic.

Next, Allie, Clay and I went on Tron...
IMG_5570.jpegIMG_5579.jpegIMG_5585.jpeg

Clay loved this...if I recall correctly, he likes it better than Cosmic Rewind which I think is crazy!
I like it well enough but it's really just too short of a ride.

Continued in next post...
