Who Inspires You?

Lately I've been trying to think of something to spark much needed conversation on the TB. This came to mind. Who inspires you? Can be a musician, someone you know, an artist, a sports figure, anyone.

Sho who are you inspired by?

My mom. Whether it's a concert, a school play, or the dream of valedictorian, she always tells me I can do it.

I hope people say something other than Disney. He is very inspirational, but this is the Disboards, so it's going to be biased.

John Mayer inspires me. I love his music, and his outlook inside his music.

they are brave, courageous, and strong.

Jackie Kennedy and Princess Diana. Not only were the both of them beautiful, but Princess Di and Jackie Kennedy were, in my opinion, a good Princess and First Lady. They had brains and beauty. They both ended up leading what I would consider depressing lives outside of the spotlight, but they kept their heads held high.

And I respect them for that.​

Who or what? I love any kind of motivational or inspiring writing. They're always great, along with music. And in terms of a person, I would have to say my parents and other various people like my LA teacher... My parents for the amount of effort they put into their lives to ensure a future in mine and my brothers. They love us no matter what we do, or what we say. It's hard to give tha kind of love.

Of course my parents, family and friends inspire me, but this is the wierdest of all: my ex.

He once told me something that changed my perspective on a certain subject that I'm not willing to talk about. And this was over a year after we broke up. And that inspired me to change my way of thinking. It's a bit strange, but it works for me.​

Ellen DeGeneres, pure and simple. It's hard to be in show business period, let alone when you are so biased against because of a lifestyle. I really admire her courage and ability to stay strong.

my mom definitely inspires me. she works so hard to make sure that my sisters and I have the best life possible, even if that means she has to make sacrifices. she always supports me in everything that I want to do, and thats why she inspires me.

I know that was total sarcasm, but you just made me think about something.



A fly lives for 72 hours. In that time period, it eats, sleeps, and reproduces. It lives its whole life in what is just three days for us. We spend a good deal of a housefly's whole life asleep.

Now if you believe that every single thing has a purpose, what is the housefly's purpose? How much can you really affect in three day's time?

I never really thought about a housefly like that before.
