I would much rather be stressed out over what I haven't done to get ready for WDW then thinking about what I need to make for dinner! I'm exactly like this, I don't get anything done until the last minute. I try to get things done in the week before we go, honestly, I do! I just never get to it all. But the day before vacation stress is what makes it all worth while when I get on the plane. I wish I was going, have fun!!!

I guess I am totally Type A. I start thinking about what I need to pack 5-7 days out, make a list 3 days out and buy what I dont have. We try to get early morning flights. That usually requires us to be leaving for the airport at 3:30-4:00 in the morning. Therfore, I pack up to 1 1/2 days before we leave.

However, my husband would love to wait til last minute and just throw his stuff in a bag. He is way more lax about this stuff than I am.

Unfortunately... yes.

DP's sister, brother-in-law, neice and nephew will be moving into our house while we are gone to take care of the pets. I probably don't have to do it, BUT there's no way I could ask them to do this for us and then get here and the place be "messy".

Wouldn't it be easier to take the pets to them?????

I do the same.. Wait until THE last minute to pack. Oh the stress...well it usually causes DF more stress than me... I'm used to it by now! Last disney trip I didn't get done 2 papers beforehand so had to write them at disney!

Yes it would. However, they have 3 cats at their house and I'm sure there would be issues with adding 2 "new" cats and 2 dogs to that environment. Plus they don't have a fenced in yard that the dogs could go out and run around.

They enjoy coming over here though.. lots of gadgets to play with.

BTW, updated: House is clean, bags are packed and waiting at the door, desserts are ready... we are definately ready to go! Just gotta wait for 6AM to get here now, then it's off to the airport. I'm taking the laptop, so I'll be checking in from time to time!

Our plane leaves in about 20 hours. DP is at work until 6pm and I'm sitting here at the computer. We haven't packed the first item of clothing, still need to finishing cleaning the bathroom, living room, dining room, and utility room.......snipsnipsnip........
Anyone else wait until the last minute to get everything done? I mean just looking at that list makes my head hurt!

Unfortunately, I've ridden this boat a few times myself. I tell myself I will do it differently and when the time comes it is same old same old. I don't worry about cleaning as much as I used to, because someone now usually stays home, such as my son.

On the other hand, I CAN pack for a week in under an hour, because we go so often there are no decisions to be made. I know exactly what we need and if we forget it, where to buy it.

However, I'll be reading some of the threads on here and think, 'that's such a great idea', but when crunch time comes, we rarely implement. I have two weekends until our trip and you wouldthink I would spend some time getting ready!
