HAPPY 2008! Man you guys are up early. After keeping the kids up late, they slept in until almost 10am this morning -- and so did I of course! Tomorrow's going to stink, going back to work. Looks like I missed quite the party here last night! I wasn't far - just in the next room over. We had a really good night!!
Michele: Have fun scrapbooking today! I'd love to see some of your layouts if you have a scanner. I have two floor-to-ceiling cabinets full of scrapbooking supplies (and some old dining room table leaves waiting to be attached to the cabinets and made into a desk) but I haven't actually scrapbooked in a year or so. By the time I haul everything out, we need to use the table and it's time to clean up! I'm SO far behind it's overwhelming. It's so sad, I have a ton of empty Disney albums and big baggies of memorabilia. 100 pictures? That should be enough... maybe.

I have plenty of paper, I always buy it when it's on clearance and stock up, but I'm low on ink. Stupid Dell doesn't have any generic ink and it's EXPENSIVE! But I love my printer, so what can I do?
Mike told Kenny "see ya next year" when he went to bed

then I had to spend the next 10 minutes explaining what the heck he was talking about! D'OH!
I told the girls they were done with school until next year, and Lyzzie thought she missed the end of third grade!
Oh did anyone else see....there is a new Stephanie Plum book coming out on the 8th!!! I think it is called Plum Lucky. I think it is another 'between the numbers' books but I can't wait. I haven't found any good books to get into lately.
I didn't know that, thanks for the heads up! I'll have to add it to my book club list - I have about 3 books I haven't started yet. I've been reading "Son of a Witch," the sequel to Wicked. So far it's pretty good, but I can never seem to find the time to read much. I keep falling asleep!
Hey someone commandered my laptop tonight.
Too cute! I know the feeling. Lyzzie took over my computer yesterday, so I commandeered her DS. Seemed fair to me.
All of our wonderful company is back in Illinois and the house is very quiet since Steve is working tonight.
Oh I just love that quiet feeling of getting my house back.
Lesa: We watched the ball drop twice - at 11 and at midnight. We took some old birthday party hats apart and turned them inside out, and Lyzzie decorated them with glittery letter stickers. We got out some noisemakers and had a blast both times. It was pretty fun! I took pics with my cellphone but they came out too dark. Did you guys watch the Dick Clark primetime thing? It was chock FULL of Disney Channel kids - Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Bros. Lyzzie was ecstatic.
Clutter the house, I love it that way! Makes the resolution a lot easier to keep.
oh, and I received the Disney Scene It game------I request Michele on my team.
We have that, it's a really fun game! Santa got us the Disney Pictionary game for Xmas too, we like that one a lot too. Can I be on your & Michele's team? I'm the expert in our house, but something tells me Michele would put me in my place.
I love your leather furniture and new rug!!
Gary thinks the outside decorations should wait until a warmer day; it's about 25 degrees out right now.
I was admiring her decor too -- very nice! Ooooh, you lucky DonnaDuck, it's up to 25 there? That's positively balmy! It was about 18 here the last time I dared to peek at the thermometer. I'd love to stay in again today, but we need to go back to Target. The pharmacy didn't have enough of Lyzzie's Rx so we have to pick up the remainder, and we're almost out of pullups. Can't let that happen!
We also have to stop at Home Depot and get a stack of Mickey head paint chips. We write numbers on them and tape them to the back of the door to the garage for a countdown, and take one off every morning. EVERY DAY since Christmas, Emma has been asking, "Are we going to Disney World today?" It's so hard to look in her hopeful little eyes and tell her no.
