I hope you all have a Wonderful Wednesday!!!princess: princess: princess: pirate: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: ;)

Happy Hump Day everybody-
lyzziesmom, I love the pics!
I woke up today and our a/c is leaking! (yes, its warm enough that we still have to use the air). anyway....have a great day!

We watched My Fair Lady in class today and my students drove me nuts, but its my favorite so I tried my best to ignore them and watch my movie! They are studying updated greek mythology, and for those of you that didn't know...Shes all That is based on My Fair Lady which is based on Pygmalion which is based on the Greek Myth Metomorphosis. Tah-Dah!

Ashley, I love your dresses, especially the second one! I think both are fine for formal nights!
that's awesome Lin! Hope you were able to enjoy it some :)

Linda: I graduated college in 1995 - it took me three years to get a two-year degree. But in my defense, I did have a 3.7 GPA and went to three schools in those three years, that's why it took so long! The $200 for the circus is mostly because I bought all 5 of our tickets, which even at $15 each, Ticketmaster adds a ton of "service" and "convenience" charges so it was about $135 just for tickets. The rest was parking, food and toys. If we'd have remembered to eat lunch first and bring our glowsticks from home it would have been a LOT cheaper!! I can't believe Kenny has NEVER been to a circus! With as much as he loves animals, he would love it. We love the Shriner's circus, it's not as "slick" as the Barnum & Bailey but it's better than the tent show that comes around, and at least we know the money goes to something good, it goes towards the Shriner's children's hospital for uninsured sick kids. Sounds like Kenny's doing great in school! It's such a good feeling when the teachers have glowing reviews, isn't it?

We had dinner at Lone Star tonight and I'm so stuffed! It was really good but I swear we had the slooooowest waitress ever. She forgot to bring the bread, then forgot the butter, and TWENTY minutes later we finally flagged her down, by that time the bread was cold and the food was coming. When Emma asked for more chocolate milk, she picked up Emma's cup and said, "You still have some left." There was like 1/4" in there and she couldn't get it up the straw! Good thing they don't do automatic 18% tip like WDW... because she didn't get that much. We didn't get home until after 8pm and Lyzzie still had homework to do! Oh well, the kids meals were free and the food was good and we had a good time nonetheless.

Lyzzie was playing with some rubber gems from the POTC ride that she found in her jacket pocket. When I told her to put them away and eat, she very loudly said, "Just a minute, I have to wash my jewels first!" This cracked up my dirty little mind to no end.
yeah, buying 5 tix would really add up quick! I know...every time the circus, its either he's at his dad's or just too much is already going on. I'm going to have to take him soon! He'd love it!
3 years for 2 yr degree...that's still good! At least you stuck w/it!!
wow...that waitress was BAD:mad: I think I would have spoke to a mgr! "she still has some left" excuse ME!!! omg I would have been ticked!! She's only 3...get her some choc. milk darn it and yes..."wash my jewels first":lmao: that's hilarious!
I know some people who will enjoy this....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjIvYFF1fw0
oh....I'll have to watch it tonight from home...darn work computers:badpc:

Yep, I bought the electric tart warmers at YC, they're great!
I'll have to check those out. they sound great!

I want to go to Disney for Christmas!!!!
I wish you guys were coming too:hug:

Oh now I REALLY want to go to WDW! I love the new castle lights!! I'm a baaaad DISer though... I don't much care for the shows they do in front of the castle. I skipped through the video right to the "good part."
I love the castle lights too! I can't wait to get some good pics! I always watch the shows...its a good chance to take a break:laughing: and take pics!

Yes and I'm so excited! :santa:
I can't wait to hear about your trip! Man I was hoping to get to drop in so bad!! You guys are going to have such a great time!!:cloud9:

I have an entirely new kind of hardware malfunction...
:rotfl2: :rotfl: great pics!

great pics Lyzziesmom!! Today my cat Lily was laying on top of our wall unit. I guess she likes it because its warm and next to the lamp. Next thing I know I hear a huge THUD and she had rolled off the wall unit and fell on the floor! She must have been sleeping, she didn't even land on her feet. Of course I made sure she was ok, and then started cracking up....:lmao:
:rotfl: I would have been cracking up too! that's too funny!

There is going to be a new Samantha Brown WDW Holiday special! First showing is on December 11th at 8, but I don't know what time zone that is for. Here is a link to the schedule. A Diser saw her there taping last night!

oh no! good luck w/the ac!

Morning, kids!!

Donna - thanks for breakfast!

Lyzziesmom - yeah, that's a hardware problem for sure. Not sure if the Geek Squad can fix that. Love the kitty pics. And is that Wicked in the background? Shel Silverstein - Erin's got a couple of his books! I really like him.

Shashy - a/c in November? It's been warm around here, too - but I don't know about that warm!

Ashley - great cruise dresses!

Lin - that castle lighting vid was great - thanks!! You know - we saw the lights on the castle in October, and suspected they had something awesome in the works for the Holidays. I don't feel so bad skimming past the "show" part... since you guys did too... I just wanted to see the lights!! Thanks for the info on the Samantha Brown show, too. Rumor has it we're doing "Company" for the spring musical.

Oh, Amber - those baby outfits are absolutely adorable!! Awwww......

Well, our Pride of Broken Arrow is off to the RCA Dome for another Grand Nationals competition. Erin was so mad that she couldn't go to the sendoff performance last night (late rehearsals), so I went and videotaped for her.

Show is this week, they double-cast the fall play again this year, so she gets Friday night and Monday day. DBF is skipping some classes Monday so that he can go to it, since he's in Indy and won't get to come.

Our Disney diver friend got our dive vid posted on youTube, I'll try and post a link later.

Catch up with ya'll in a bit! :wave2:

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Lyzziesmom- For the Behind the Seeds tour, do you need to make a reservation in advance? Or can you just go up there and get tickets the day of?

I am finally excited about my trip! I guess with everything going on I just wasn't all that excited. I need to make sure I have everything packed and print out my boarding passes this evening. :yay:

Nicole: I'm not even sure if the Behind the Seeds tour takes reservations. There is a counter right by the entrance to Soarin' that has a board behind it with all the tour times posted. What we did is, we got FP's for Soarin', then signed up for the tour that started in about 45 minutes. (They have tours about every 20 minutes, you just pay when you sign up.) We ate our breakfast and rode Living with the Land while waiting, then went on the tour then rode Soarin'. It worked out really well! The tour is really neat. I never posted my pics from it, did I? I'll try to get them up later if you want!

I got a call from my dr's office today. I have an appointment today with the new pain center, and tomorrow with my regular pain specialist. The regular dr is the one that called. They said I have a balance due on my account (which I knew about, it's not huge but it's more money than I have right now) and they will refuse to see me tomorrow unless I pay it IN FULL -- today! Well I cannot do that. Part of the bill is something that needs to be resubmitted to my insurance, but of course it's a larger dr's office so nobody seems to know what's going on with anything. They are such a pain in the butt!! This has been an ongoing battle, and since I made the appointment a month ago you'd think they could have not waited until the DAY BEFORE to lay this deadline on me. I have been trying all morning to call them and work out something, but every time I pick up the phone it starts ringing. It's been crazy busy this morning. I can't call them over my lunch break, because I went to that breakfast at Lyzzie's school this morning so I'm skipping my lunch break today. One of my coworkers who normally covers the front desk during my breaks took the day off, but forgot to tell me and our other coworker, so I'm down to only one backup person and he's pretty busy doing both of their jobs. So I don't know when I'll be able to call. Ugh, I so don't need this crap!!

Breakfast with Lyzzie was fun. She forgot her homework at home, and it's due tomorrow. She needs to work on it at my mom's house after school, because I'll be at the new dr. after work and we won't get home until almost 7pm and that's too late. So I had to drop my dad at work (it's across the street from the school) so my mom will have a car (hers is still in the shop getting a new back window) so she could go pick up the homework from my house. What a hectic morning! But we got it worked out, and stopped at Quik Trip for donuts on the way.

When we got to the school, the front doors were locked and there was nobody in the office to let us in! It was cold and windy outside, and we weren't sure what to do. Another mom & her DD showed up and were just as flustered. They went in search of another open door, and found a teacher who let us in. Only 2 other moms showed up besides me! The other mom who we saw outside said she also works and never gets to come to these things, it was really nice to meet someone who's in a similar place for once. Lyzzie brought her book and read aloud to me a chapter of "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing." She was amazed when I told her that the last time I read that book was 23 years ago! We've decided that she will start reading aloud to me every day, it was really nice to have that time connecting with her.

I hope you all have a Wonderful Wednesday!!!princess: princess: princess: pirate: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: ;)

Thanks Donna...what a delightful midweek breakfast!:woohoo:

Hi to all my cliqueless pals...hope everyone is having a good day.:goodvibes

Arrrrgh, I'm so frustrated! I finally had a chance to call the dr's office and they "can't find the notes" on my account and seemed to have no idea what's going on.

Oh they're calling me right now. Aaaaand... still have no idea.

Update: I was able to work out a payment plan so I don't have to pay it all in one chunk, and I don't have to miss my appointment. What really kills me is, this whole thing came around because of their error. They kept telling me I didn't have a copay with my insurance, and I kept telling them yes I do. This went on for a year. My primary care dr. is in the same practice, so those visits did the same thing too. NOW they've realized their error and are billing me for a year's worth of copays, plus all costs up to my deductible because they messed up on that information as well. This place is just so disorganized!

I also got a bill the other day from the urgent care center where I took Lyzzie for her burned tongue. They had us down as being uninsured and were trying to bill me $300 for the visit, to tell me "yep that's a burn!" Healthcare is so flippin' screwy (not the words I'd really like to use). I had to call Lyzzie's insurance company (the kids are insured through Medicaid) and get her information since they still never sent cards - I requested those again too. Blah, I'm done with doctors for today. Except I still have to go see the new one tonight. Hopefully that will go well, it's just an evaluation and I am in a bit of pain today - usually it figures that when I have an evaluation, it always falls on a good day when it doesn't hurt much!

I was reading on another forum that it's considered bad "message board etiquette" to use long paragraphs. I've never heard that before! It makes sense though. I just try to keep each thought in its own paragraph - which isn't always easy with the way my mind wanders!

It's quiet around here today, where is everyone?

Nicole: I'm working on uploading my pics from the Behind the Seeds tour. There are about 30 pictures, so I think I'll just start a new thread or try to find your BTS thread from a while back, and then link to it here so I don't take up so much room in our thread. That way if anyone wants to look at them, you guys can, but those who don't want to won't have to slog through pages of pictures here.

While I was looking through my pictures I came across this one and thought Amber might like it. I took it at the pin station in Epcot while I was buying her pin. Emma loved pin shopping!

Shashy - a/c in November? It's been warm around here, too - but I don't know about that warm]

A girl after my own heart! She is too cute.

I'm sorry you have to deal with all the insurance crap. I wish we were like other countries and had universal care. Then there would be no fighting with doctors and the insurance companies.

Nicole, I am so jealous. I hope you have a fantastic time; I want lots of pictures.

I hope everyone is having a good evening.

Wow!! No one was on last night!!

Good morning all and have a great day!!

Good mornng, everyone!!

WOO-HOO!!! Today is the day that Nicole gets to leave for WDW!!:woohoo:
