Linda: I graduated college in 1995 - it took me three years to get a two-year degree. But in my defense, I did have a 3.7 GPA and went to three schools in those three years, that's why it took so long! The $200 for the circus is mostly because I bought all 5 of our tickets, which even at $15 each, Ticketmaster adds a ton of "service" and "convenience" charges so it was about $135 just for tickets. The rest was parking, food and toys. If we'd have remembered to eat lunch first and bring our glowsticks from home it would have been a LOT cheaper!! I can't believe Kenny has NEVER been to a circus! With as much as he loves animals, he would love it. We love the Shriner's circus, it's not as "slick" as the Barnum & Bailey but it's better than the tent show that comes around, and at least we know the money goes to something good, it goes towards the Shriner's children's hospital for uninsured sick kids. Sounds like Kenny's doing great in school! It's such a good feeling when the teachers have glowing reviews, isn't it?
We had dinner at Lone Star tonight and I'm so stuffed! It was really good but I swear we had the slooooowest waitress ever. She forgot to bring the bread, then forgot the butter, and TWENTY minutes later we finally flagged her down, by that time the bread was cold and the food was coming. When Emma asked for more chocolate milk, she picked up Emma's cup and said, "You still have some left." There was like 1/4" in there and she couldn't get it up the straw! Good thing they don't do automatic 18% tip like WDW... because she didn't get that much. We didn't get home until after 8pm and Lyzzie still had homework to do! Oh well, the kids meals were free and the food was good and we had a good time nonetheless.
Lyzzie was playing with some rubber gems from the POTC ride that she found in her jacket pocket. When I told her to put them away and eat, she very loudly said, "Just a minute, I have to wash my jewels first!" This cracked up my dirty little mind to no end.
