Shashy - you have fun at your hockey game tonight?

yes it was lots of fun! even though, the panthers lost. we didnt look at the tickets right. I was in the 5th row! lots of action. we also got a free hat. My friend should be able to get tickets again soon. The food was very expensive! The guys went and got 3 beers and a water ($29). Then they got 2 burgers, fries and another beer ($27). Then, 2 cookies, a soda and a beer ($22). Then we had to cut them off! So much for free tickets!

:rotfl:

hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

I hear you there! My co-worker went to the BlueJackets game last night and said one beer was $7! nachos was $5 and so was a cup of coke. They sure get ya on that stuff, but it is a good time.:cheer2:

Good afternoon everyone!! I'm sitting here waiting for the Comcast guy. :rolleyes1 I'm using someone else's wireless because mine isn't working right now :ssst:

Ashley:: What in the world makes you thnk we're not interested in seeing your new dresses!!! I'll bet they're cute!

I have no idea! I love to see that kind of stuff for other people but I know others don't always feel the same! I don't want people to be like "Why does she think we care what dress she's wearing?" :snooty:  Thanks for the cinnamon rolls, they are my favorite!!

Linda, sorry the FL trip was postponed :sad2: Are you feeling better today???

Amber, I got mild italian pork sausage from Whole Foods. It was REALLY good! I just added the sausage to the spaghetti sauce I made the night before. I was nervous because I didn't want it to ruin my sauce but it was excellent!

Lyzziesmom- sorry you had a rough morning!! That breakfast thing is strange, you'd think they'd be providing atleast some donuts or something. I used to love it when my parents or grandparents came to school for whatever reason! Of course I was never bad (I'm a perfect angel :teeth:) so whenever they came it was for good stuff!!!

Nicole- how was your first day??? I love YC stuff too.....I have a tart burning right now!!

I like seeing what other people are going to wear. Post all you want. :)

On that note, here are a couple of the outfits we bought this weekend:

029J0064000

029J0076000

029M1495000

I went through all the clothes we have for him so far and they are mostly Disney or have baby chicks on them. (Considering our last name, we think it's hysterical to have clothes with baby chickens on them. Are we demented?? )

I promise I will come back tonight and read through the posts!!!

Still on my mission.... and was wondering when I'd stumble upon this one. This is a milestone photograph. Our first trip to Walt Disney World, in September 1992. Characters couldn't get near the child without her bursting into tears. On our VERY LAST day in the parks, she actually was OK with Mickey, (there's actually a series of photos) culminating in the ultimate.... the first photo with Mickey Mouse!!!

Great outfits!!!! love the little shoes!!

I think the chick thing is absolutely hilarious..........:lmao:

P.S. Are you registered anywhere??? :rolleyes1

Oh Linda, that's too bad about the FL job. But hey, the first week of Dec. isn't that far away! Maybe they can make it just before your WDW trip and you can get the company to pay for your airfare, how cool would that be?! :rolleyes1

Speaking of FL jobs -- pozey, how the heck are ya? I'm assuming you haven't had any recent news on the job front? Are you still looking?

The guys went and got 3 beers and a water ($29). Then they got 2 burgers, fries and another beer ($27). Then, 2 cookies, a soda and a beer ($22).

Is anyone else seeing a common theme here? Where was the game? I remember going to a Panthers game or two when I lived in FL. I never did understand the sport, but always had fun anyway. The big arena near Sawgrass Mills Mall was built a year or two before we moved to KS, it was so nice and close to my house, only about 10 minutes away. And yes, it's VERY expensive! Last time I was at a concert in FL, a flavored malt drink was $8!! You can get a whole 6-pack for $6, it's just crazy how much money they make!

Even at the circus last weekend, two soft pretzels and two bottles of water were $10.50. Then the kids wanted light-up toys and I was $0.50 short to buy two of the cheapest ones -- the lady gave them to us anyway which was so nice!! :thumbsup2 But still... somehow the $15 circus tickets ended up running me nearly $200. Yikes!!

Hi Ashley! I always think nobody cares about stuff I post too. I guess I'm just insecure like that. But you guys are all great at pretending to care! ;) I don't remember my parents ever coming to my school for anything, except conferences which were few & far between. My mom did volunteer as room mother in my K class, but that was a long time ago. It seems like these days the schools have a lot more interaction with parents, I don't remember much of that at all. Or maybe... my parents just didn't go! I would have hated it anyway, but Lyzzie loves when I can come to these things, so I go. I don't know what we're going to bring though, I guess we will stop for donuts on the way.

I recently discovered Yankee Candle too and have a ton of tarts, but ever since Roxy Bonkers joined our family I'm afraid to burn anything. I just know I'd end up chasing her with the fire extinguisher! :scared1:

Great outfits!!!! love the little shoes!!

I think the chick thing is absolutely hilarious..........:lmao:

P.S. Are you registered anywhere??? :rolleyes1

As soon as I saw those shoes, I had to have them!

We haven't really registered anywhere. I haven't really thought about doing one, since I don't think we will be having a shower (none at work since there are so many of us pregnant at the same time, I don't think family will do one, since they are all in Baltimore).

Dznyfan, I love the pictures! Erin was such a cutie!

Amber: Cute clothes! The first and second picture look the same, though. I think the baby chick thing is great!! Can't wait to see the little Chickadee.

DznyFan: What an adorable picture. I just love the look on her face! I also am feeling old -- 1992 is the year I graduated from high school and it feels like only a couple years ago. :guilty: :hourglass

Lyzziesmom, My Mom did go to the arena by Sawgrass Mills. It is nice, I've seen a couple concerts there.

Luckily our cats haven't messed with the candles...It always makes me nervous though!!

I wasn't expecting the Comcast guy to come so early- normally they say between 3-6 and they come at 10 to 6....... Good thing I thought to get dressed early or I would've been pretty embarassed. Nothing was really accomplished today and maintence has to come out now :headache: Whatever happens I just want it fixed, or I want to know if I need to start looking for another internet company!! I guess I should start pricing things just in case, but I love our digital internet and cable combo (when it works :sad2:)

Amber: Cute clothes! The first and second picture look the same, though. I think the baby chick thing is great!! Can't wait to see the little Chickadee.

I fixed the link. The outfits are similar (just a different pattern).

Glad to know we aren't horrible people for the chicken thing. I think it's too funny.

 the customer won't be ready til after the holiday!! So, no trip til FL until at least first week of Dec. BUMMER!!!

Noooooo!!!!!! :rotfl:

Ashley- I want to see a pic of your dresses!

Amber- I think the whole chick thing is cute! Cute outfits!

My first day went good, I learned how to run the register and stuff.

I found one of the dresses on Ebay, except mine is blue (and not as wrinkly!!)....I'm wearing it on formal night...Do you guys think its dressy enough?? I actually like the black more now that I see it, but the blue one is pretty too!! I think I'm going to get some silver shoes to wear with it...?

I took some pics but they aren't coming out!! So I'm searching online for the other one.......

ETA...Ok, here is a similiar dress to my other one..not the same brand but really close in style, almost identical...except my lining is red instead of tan..

Gorgeous dresses Ashley! I love the idea of silver shoes -- I'm thinking something strappy? So pretty!

Nicole: Glad to hear you had a good first day of work. Do you like your coworkers? The people at YC in the mall here are always so nice. When I first wanted to try the tarts, I didn't want to buy a warmer because I had an electric candle warming plate. The cashier went in the back and found the dish part from a damaged tart burner and just gave it to me! It was my very first time shopping there and that was just so nice, they made a customer out of me. I've since bought two electric tart warmers and a drawerful of tarts!

"Why does she think we care what dress she's wearing?"
Linda, sorry the FL trip was postponed :sad2: Are you feeling better today???

I was nervous because I didn't want it to ruin my sauce but it was excellent!
 if we didn't care about little things...we wouldn't remember them a year later:rolleyes1 :rotfl:
Yeah, now I'm afraid they'll let someone else go down for it:guilty: Bryan(a guy I work with) was going down to Miami for a football game soon and they might put two and two together..not sure, but just something that's crossed my mind. Don't want to get my hopes all up...again!
Yes, thanks I am feeling much better! but.....now Mikes getting it:rolleyes1 oops!

I like seeing what other people are going to wear. Post all you want. :)

you're not demented:lmao: those outfits are adorable! We'll just have to have a "cliqueless" shower for you!! If you let us know what you need, or if you register, I'll definitely be sending you a package!

I promise I will come back tonight and read through the posts!!!

I hope it works out ...maybe just leave for vacation a few days sooner:banana: that would be cool! THAT must be why we haven't gone to the circus yet:rotfl: $200...that is scary!
Of coarse we care!:grouphug: that is why/how we've all became such great friends this past year or so!

1992 is the year I graduated from high school and it feels like only a couple years ago.
tell me about it! my sister graduated in 92 and I graduated in 95!! Time just flies!
Noooooo!!!!!! :rotfl:

My first day went good, I learned how to run the register and stuff.
I know!!! I was so bummed! Geesh...I just started planning how I'd drive up, get into the MK and call you guys too! Maybe next time:sad1:
Glad your first day went well!:cool1:

Great dresses Ashley! Those will be great for your cruise!!:cloud9:

Well, I went to the parent/teacher conf. tonight....Kenny has her WRAPPED around his little finger:lmao: she's telling me how he's the sunshine of her day! He's so smart, he so polite and sweet and ........ YEAH...I KNOW:rotfl: How in computer lab they only type on "word " doc's and she had to stop everyone b/c there Kenny is getting on the internet:lmao: she just adores him and thinks he's doing great. He really is! I'm so proud of him!! She says she goes home every weekend and has to tell her mom the "Kenny stories" of the week:rotfl: and she had to come in to meet him. How she had a dream about him driving go carts:laughing: boy he totally has her fooled!!! It went awesome and he's doing great. She said last year she was hoping she'd get him:cloud9: I am just so proud of him!

Helllllllloooooooo out there!

Hope everyone had a good day. Those cinnamon rolls really did get my morning started off right!

We watched My Fair Lady in class today and my students drove me nuts, but its my favorite so I tried my best to ignore them and watch my movie! They are studying updated greek mythology, and for those of you that didn't know...Shes all That is based on My Fair Lady which is based on Pygmalion which is based on the Greek Myth Metomorphosis. Tah-Dah!

Ashley, I love your dresses, especially the second one! I think both are fine for formal nights!

Linda: I graduated college in 1995 - it took me three years to get a two-year degree. But in my defense, I did have a 3.7 GPA and went to three schools in those three years, that's why it took so long! The $200 for the circus is mostly because I bought all 5 of our tickets, which even at $15 each, Ticketmaster adds a ton of "service" and "convenience" charges so it was about $135 just for tickets. The rest was parking, food and toys. If we'd have remembered to eat lunch first and bring our glowsticks from home it would have been a LOT cheaper!! I can't believe Kenny has NEVER been to a circus! With as much as he loves animals, he would love it. We love the Shriner's circus, it's not as "slick" as the Barnum & Bailey but it's better than the tent show that comes around, and at least we know the money goes to something good, it goes towards the Shriner's children's hospital for uninsured sick kids. Sounds like Kenny's doing great in school! It's such a good feeling when the teachers have glowing reviews, isn't it?

We had dinner at Lone Star tonight and I'm so stuffed! It was really good but I swear we had the slooooowest waitress ever. She forgot to bring the bread, then forgot the butter, and TWENTY minutes later we finally flagged her down, by that time the bread was cold and the food was coming. When Emma asked for more chocolate milk, she picked up Emma's cup and said, "You still have some left." There was like 1/4" in there and she couldn't get it up the straw! Good thing they don't do automatic 18% tip like WDW... because she didn't get that much. We didn't get home until after 8pm and Lyzzie still had homework to do! Oh well, the kids meals were free and the food was good and we had a good time nonetheless.

Lyzzie was playing with some rubber gems from the POTC ride that she found in her jacket pocket. When I told her to put them away and eat, she very loudly said, "Just a minute, I have to wash my jewels first!" This cracked up my dirty little mind to no end.
