Good morning ladies!

I am so far behind, so I won't even try to catch up on everyone.

Michele.....I came here to find out about your trip as I figured you would post it here before calling you DSinlaw. I heard from your mom that you marched everyone around till they were ready to kill you. :lmao: I'm glad I did not go on this mini trip with you as we might not be DSinlaws with each other for awhile! ;) :teeth: I hope Matt is o.k.!

Donna.....Thanks for the croissants! I woke up a bit hungry today.

We have been busy trying to get in all we can before school starts. We went to the Jelly Belly Factory for a tour. That was fun! Then we went to a beach on lake MI and collected about 10 tons of rocks. Poor DH had to make about 4 trips back to the car to unload the girls finds. :sunny: We didn't get to stay long as it started to rain.

Madison and I have been sick. She was running a slight fever for a few days, and now we are both sneezing our heads off. I think at this point it is more allergies.

Gracie ran away the other day and found herself a new family. I had put her in the backyard and she found somewhere to squeeze her butt through. :furious: When I went to check on her about an hour later she was gone. We looked everywhere. Finally dd went with her friends on their bikes asking everyone if they had seen her. Sure enough a she was way around the block, someone had found her or she found them, she is a little overly friendly. They put her in their backyard with some water. The woman said she was hoping that no one would claim her as she is a well behaved dog. Yeah, that is why she escaped the backyard. :rolleyes1 Anyway she said that we should put a collar on her with our address. (Yeah, well if she wouldn't chew every collar off that we put on her)! Well all this after she had apparently got board digging up a rabbits nest. Yep she found 4 baby bunnies, their eyes not even open. (It was a dumb bunny for nesting in our yard as Gracie is forever chasing her). I found them out in the middle of the yard the next morning. I put them back in their nest hoping the mother would come back. Just what I don't need is to find 4 dead baby bunnies in my yard. :sad2: It looks like she came back this morning. Now I will have 5 rabbits eating my flowers instead of one.

Ugh....I just ran my antivirus and it found a trojan infecting my computer. :furious:

Hope everyone has a great day!

Wow chicas (and chico), I didn't even realize I was in single digits until I read your posts this morning.  :cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2:   I'd better get my laundry done so I can start packing those suitcases!!

I'm working on uploading my pictures so be patient, I'll have some "before & afters" for you soon.

April, I totally sympathize about the house repairs. We are trying to get as much done as possible before moving day but it will by no means be done. I feel for ya, girl!

DznyFan, yes you most certainly can paint over wood paneling! A couple words of advice: wash the walls first with TSP. You can get it at Home Depot or Lowes, it's cheap, and it will prep the walls for paint. Use a coat of primer tinted to match your paint color. The paint will adhere better with the primer, and then you will only need one coat of paint. Do NOT use the cheapest paint you can find, there IS a difference. The ColorPlace paint at WalMart is so thin, it drips a LOT. Spend the extra $3 and get a nice medium-quality brand. When I painted the paneling in my mom's basement, I used a goldenrod color in a semigloss and then mixed a darker brownish gold shade with glaze, rolled it on, and used wet rags to dab the tinted glaze off. The result is that it looks like the walls are covered in leather, it's amazing. When the light hits the walls, you can still see the grain of the wood under the paint, which just adds to the leather effect. Super cool.

Donna, ah, tres belle croissants pour nous! Merci, merci!!

Michele, I'm so excited to see the Captain Jack Tutuorial photos! Get on it, girl! Because I'm sure you have nothing better to do, right? (wink wink)

Pozey - How was Courtney's orthopedist appt? My girl has gone to EOOC a couple times, they're great! Is that who you used?
Courtney got a cast put on her arm yesterday. Yes, we went to EOOC. They were very good. They put a cast on that she can get completely wet.

Here's a picture of her:

I promised you pictures, didn't I? Keep in mind the "after" pictures are still not 100% done, but just what we have done so far. So they are more like "in progress" pictures.

And here's our tribute to The Shining. But first, a little story. I was in the playroom when I heard Lyzzie & my dad working on a project in the next room, the girls' bedroom. I clearly heard Dad say, "Oh don't worry, I learn from my mistakes." My first thought was, uh oh, what's going to happen??
The result is where the Shining photo comes from:

Notice anything not quite right in this picture??

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Welcome back Michele!

Pozey-I hope Courtney is feeling better!

Lyzziesmom- I like the pics of the new house! I love the Tink room!

I don't know if anyone remembers the bladder issues that I have been having. Well, I went to the doctor today and found out why my bladder has been acting funky. (I'll spare you all the details :) ) So I will be having a small surgery next Thursday. I hope all my bladder issues will be resolved now. It's been driving me crazy these past few months!

lyzziesmom - Love the pictures!! Looks like a lot of work!!

Yes! The doorknob and the place where the doorknow goes into the door frame don't match up!! What do I win? I want a free trip to Walt Disney World!! I want it NOW!! :rotfl:

Lyzziesmom,

Those pictures are great! And the picture of your dad and Lyzzie is very funny, too! I can't believe how close your trip is! I'm jealous.

Nicole,
Good luck on the surgery. Hopefully this will fix the problem and you will feel better! :goodvibes

DonnaLeah, Thanks for the yummy breakfast!! :sunny:

Thanks, Lyzziesmom and Amber for the advice on dealing with paneled walls.

Lyzziesmom - I absolutely adore your little house! LOVE the green and purple tink room. Are you putting a border up on the pink girls' room? You have managed to get SO MUCH accomplished in such a short time. Any ETA on the move-in? I'm sure being in the apartment is REALLY driving you nuts now!

I have to tell you guys a story......(and by "guys" I mean the lovely cliqueless chicas :cool1: )

We were watching TV Monday night, and DW got really mad at me.

Here's the story......

There wasn't much on TV, so I (since I am the man, and I control the remote :rotfl2: ) checked out to see what was saved on the TiVo. One of the shows saved was a Food Network program called "Unwrapped". Since we are Food Network junkies in my house, we watch Unwrapped a lot.

Anyway, this episode of Unwrapped just happened to be a Walt Disney World Unwrapped show.

Well, the first thing DW gets mad at me about is that we don't have plans to go back to Disney World for at least a couple of years. She wants to use most of our normal vacation money next year for some house renovations, and we will probably take a "smaller" vacation. And it will probably be 2008 before we go back to Disney.

Now......2nd thing she gets mad at me about.......one of the places that is featured in the show is Flame Tree Barbeque. We have never eaten there. But it was on our schedule to eat there during our trip back in May. Well, I don't remember the specifics, but for one reason or another, we ended up NOT eating at Flame Tree. So, I deprived her of the experience of eating at Flame Tree!

Bad Pozey! Bad, bad, bad!! I must be punished!! :lmao:

pozey, I think what you need to do is sell some blood and take her to Disney before 2008. The poor thing didn't get to eat at Flame Tree.

I am still a little ticked that I didn't get to eat at LTT last year. It isn't scheduled for our next trip either; THAT is why I have to go back in April!

I have to go back because Lyzzie didn't get to ride Spash Mountain at night.

Pozey, you evil, depriving man, you!

I'm afraid I have to go back because I didn't get to ride Rock N Roller Coaster during my last visit. OH! And I didn't get to eat at Olivia's.

Ok, I am going to try and post some pictures...everyone keep your fingers crossed.

This was our last morning, Monday, on our way in for breakfast at the Crystal Palace. I had offered to take many peoples pictures so everyone could be in the picture and this was the only time someone offered back.

We had a a great time. The first day we checked into Coronado Springs. Naturally our rooms weren't ready, I didn't really expect they would be. The girl told us we would be in building 6. I had requested connecting rooms, she said there were none available. Ok, we can manage, the kids are older. Then she tells me that the rooms are on opposite sides of the building and on different floors. EXCUSE ME?? She was very nice, Maria, and I was polite so she really worked with me to get the rooms changed. I wasn't asking for the moon. Just same floor and same side of the building, we could be rooms apart. She got her manager involved and they changed our rooms. :yay:
We ended up in building 5 Casitas and these were connecting. :thumbsup2 But it took a while. Then we went to Epcot, I wanted to upgrade our tickets to DVC AP's I had bought a GC from the Disney Store, one of the new ones that can be used at the parks. Well, Rennie, the man at the GS window had never used one before and was having all kinds of problems. It was for $500 and said he had to call for a authorization code. I was literally at his window for an HOUR. He called all kinds of people and finally figured it out. Matt came up and asked for money to get something to drink. Rennie gave us a slip to get 5 drinks from the store and then when we were all done gave us 2 front of the line passes. He was great and very patient. I made sure to turn in a comment card for him before we left. But once we got in all was good.

I'll post more later.

MI mom of 3,
Great pictures!

I have to go back to WDW because the new Nemo ride is opening after my trip. :thumbsup2 (Thats a thumb. :) )

I have a tiny vent. Last night I paid my credit card online because its due on the 22nd. I tried to pay it yesterday during the day but DH didn't have his bank information at work, and I couldn't find it. Well I thought it would be fine because I was still paying it on the 22nd, I paid it at about 8:30 last night. Well I go online and it says my payment is passed due and they charged me the $29 fee. :guilty: So now my account is over the limit, so I'm sure they will charge me that fee, too! I don't have any extra money to pay it this month, and I called and they said there was nothing I could do, I missed the 'cut-off time' yesterday even though I payed it on the 22nd. I don't know why, but this is really depressing me. :guilty: I hate credit card companies. I hate these fees, its just like throwing money out the window..I know its my fault, I should have known about the 'cut-off time' but I still feel bad.

Mi mom of 3 - Excellent pictures!! The Jack Sparrow character is dead on!!

And Nick and Matt with the Miss America contestants.....awsome!! I hope you got MORE pictures for their sake......They NEED to take those pictures to show their friends!! :cool1:

Ashley, that's awful about the credit card payment. I now always pay my bills as soon as they come, if I can. Of course, I don't have any credit cards so that makes it a little easier, but it makes other things harder.

Michele, FABULOUS pictures! I really hope they extend the Pirate Tutorial into September so we can see it!! Lyzzie wants to see it very much, but she hopes she isn't chosen to participate. She can be very shy.

I just called & left a message for my doctor about getting a refill on my painkillers before my trip. Normally I try not to take them very much, and I actually have quite a few stocked up at home, but I always like to bring twice as much on vacation as I think I'll need. (and then I end up using 1/2 as much as I think I will.) I'm hoping they will let me refill without having to go in for an office visit since my copay was recently raised to $35 - yowch! - but since it is narcotic-based, I don't know if I can do that. I always hate to ask for more painkillers, I feel like they think I'm a druggie or something. :sad2: But with my back issues, the drugs are a must for 10 days of pretty much solid walking & standing. Wish me luck!!

Yes, we will be putting up a white chair-rail. I originally was going to do a border with stencils and stamps and glue some fake jewels on for sparkle, but I'm thinking that will take too long and could possibly look like crap. We can always add sparkle later. We'll be adding the castle mural and a bunch of other princessy things once the furniture is in. Don't want the castle to end up behind anything!

pozey, we LOVE Unwrapped! Does anyone else remember when Mark Summers was the host of Double Dare? Last fall or winter, we went to an event that was being taped for Unwrapped, but I haven't had as much time to watch tv lately so I don't know when/if it aired. It was a segment on Chris Cakes, a pancake company here in town that flips the pancakes right off the griddle onto your plate. Sound familiar?? I am always seeing things about WDW on tv and saying to myself (since I have no man around to blame it on) "Drat! Why didn't I do that last time??" Oh and BTW pozey, you are not the man, you are The Man. As in Cliqueless Chicas and.

Are you kidding...today was registration for the middle school. Nick got his locker assignment and already has the pictures taped in his locker :rotfl2:
