I'm here, Dznyfan!! Been a homebody all day long didn't leave the place!!! I think we're all set for school clothes. When the weather turns cool, DS will probably need new jeans. He's grown like a weed!!!

Ds just got back from a bike ride. He left with our neighbor, her DD12 and other neighbor's daughter who is 10. DH just cam home about 15 min. ago, I asked him to go look for them because it's DARK here, for crying out loud. DS said they were visiting at one house a little too long!!! We live out in the country and these roads are not lit!! I'm just venting here, because I think our neighbor should have been more responsible in getting them home. OK Momma hen is calming down now, I was just getting worried!! :guilty:

Hey, Donna - Lucky you for homebodying (is that a word?) all day.

Scary enough with the kiddos out after dark, but especially when you're out in the country in that dark! If it's anything like where we used to live, sometimes people would just fly down those roads. I hated it when DD used to go bike riding out there.

happy Sunday night everyone!!

How was your day?? Productive?? Non-productive?? Relaxing?? Busy busy?? Memorable?? Uneventful?? _____________other??

Mine was, eh, just okay. I did meet my friend for our cawfee tawlk this morning at Starbucks, but neither of us could stay very long. This is when I thought I had plans. I was then to meet my parents for a late lunch/early dinner, but I was soooooo wiped out today. My week finally did catch up with me. I rescheduled the meal for next weekend when I am off of work, and slept all afternoon. Whoo, did I have some crazy dreams!!!! I dreamed that I was comparison shopping for cigarettes. I don't even smoke!!!??? Don't ask because I really have not a clue!!

Anyway, I also found out that my sister had to put their 13yr. old Wiemeriener (sp??) down today. This was really sad because she hand picked him when he was 7 weeks old. He was an amazing dog--invinsible, if you will. He ate everything under the sun throughout his years, including whole chocolate cakes off of the counter, a whole tray of raw spedeini with the toothpicks still in them (an Italian beef roll, for all you non-Italians), cranberry garland off of a Christmas tree(he was pooping fake cranberries for days--ewww). You name it, he's eaten it--couldn't turn your back for one second. He has had two emergency surgeries in his lifetime--once because he flipped his stomach and another two remove a huge mass that formed around the scar tissue. Anyway, enough about this, pixie dust for my sis. pixiedust: pixiedust:

Lyzziesmom--cool--Einsteins here in St. Louis. Was live or was it memorex?? We have a great symphony here, if you like that sort of thing. I love it, but once again, I take things here for granted and never seem to find the time. Or I think about after it's too late.

I must have missed how soon it is til your house closing. How cool is that!!!!!! No more paddling to get to your laundry. and no more butt-crack boy. Where did you find the castle mural for Lyzzie's room??

Hey, looky there, your ticker's back. :cheer2:

DznyFan--you're welcome. I hope this helps. If you do go Italian on The Hill, you really can't go wrong with any of the places, if you find them open at that time. There is one, however--Rigazzi's--skip this one. They are very traditional. I'm not sure if your family likes ravioli, but there is an appetizer here that originated by accident years ago here that has become a St. Louis must. It is called Toasted Ravioli. They are meat-filled ravioli that are breaded in Italian breadcrumbs then deep fried. They serve them with a meat/tomato sauce for dipping. YUMMY--I haven't had those in quite a while. I may have to stop somewhere tomorrow to chow. Just about any Italian place has them on the menu because of its St. Louis heritage.

Donna--your French Toast put my mundane PopTarts to shame!!! I loooove anything French, especially toast!! Thanks for going through all the trouble, because I just had to open the box, but those foil wrappers are a witch with a b.

Hey Linda--how are you holding up, sweetie?? Keeping yourself busy??
That would be awesome if you can just go into work for that short amount of time!!!!! Dreamy.

I can't divulge that info here. Let's just say "phone home" and his wife, raider.

Angela--you want me to post my screen name?? I don't even remember my own name half the time. What's my name?? I don't know. ooops, busted---I just answered myself. Ruh-ro.

Hi to everyone else------------
list?? what list??

Donna--cheater, cheater, Pop Tart eater.

DznyFan, it's not really a full wall mural, it's a large picture of the castle made out of wallpaper. It's about the size of a twin bed headboard, I think. It's really cool! I'll be taking lots of before & after pictures of the whole house, I'm sure you guys will get sick & tired of them!

Donna, I'd be mad at the neighbor too! I'd be worried sick if Lyzzie wasn't home out in the country after dark.

Well gals (and pozey), I've accomplished nothing most of the day, and it was great!!

2x so sorry about your sister's dog. :grouphug:
We had a most productive day.

Lyzziesmom - can't wait to see the before/after pix! How exciting for you! :Pinkbounc

Hey, looky there, your ticker's back. :cheer2:

The house closing is on Tuesday! Yay!! But actual moving day isn't until September 13th. We need time to paint, and get the new place into somewhat decent shape. And my lease here isn't over until Sept. 16th anyway. So... 3 days after we get back from WDW, we'll be moving. Busy times!

Forgot to add... nope, my ticker's not back. I got a new one. It's not as pretty as the missing one, but it WORKS!

DznyFan---I just went back and read my post, because I have a tendency to edit after I press send post, not while I am writing. Anyway, what I meant is that all of the Italian restaurants are traditional. The way I wrote it was that only Rigazzi's is traditional and you should skip it. Forgive me. BTW--Ted Drewes is not far at all from the areas that I told you. You just have to weed through some of the neighborhoods.
p.s. I forgot to mention that when I was googling our Downtown area I found that we have a Pino's Pizzeria. hmmmm, interesting.

Donna--yes, I do agree that your neighbor should have been more neighborly with your DS. Those country roads can be too dangerous. I am so mother henly and not even a mom!!

September 13th is a great day to move!! That is my 20th wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has been 20 years already. Most days I don't feel old enough. some days unfortunately I feel much older. ;)

Hi, again!!
Been watching the new Parent Trap. It's the end and he's kissing Elizabeth!! OK, now you know who THIS old lady has the hots for!!

AAH, I was going to post something else, but seemed to have lostmy concentration......Just talk amongst yourselves. :cloud9:

yawn, yawn, sigh--

OMG, kids, I know I shouldn't be, but I am still soooo tired!! I think I will relinquish my hoot status for the evening and turn in early. I have a long day tomorrow--work from 7am-9am, then a class by the airport for work from 9-1, then back to work until 4pm. I then have a going away dinner for one of our spa girls at 7:30. Boy, if I'm not already sick of these people, I definitely will be by tomorrow night.
They better watch it--that airport may look mighty good!!!!

p.s. Lyzziesmom--too bad we're not a bit closer --I would offer to come and help you with the house. You are going to whooped. But in a good way, WDW and a new home.  :cheer2:

Hooray!!!! You passed. . .You passed. . . ! Oh, please let me switch places with you!!!! I dream of living in Florida (if you can't tell by reading my posts already.) Is Boca expensive? DH says no Florida! Too expensive. --In his best cave man voice. JK :teeth: --

Hi! Well we have found out that FL is not really for us. We like it and are happy but just not as happy as we were in Boston. But as I said we do like it so it isn't a big issue to hang around while I go to school. And yes Boca is expensive but there are so many choices of where to live around here. I would say before you pack your bags and move down rent a place at least for 6 months and see how you like it. It is like a whole different world with its ups and downs just like any other place. And if you really wnat to move here do your homework DH and I found many ways of getting free money to buy a house. Around here everything is for sale. I know in Boca and a few other places if you sign a contract with the city saying you will work for the city for lets say 15 yrs or so you can get up $80,000 towards your house. Now I should have added that these would be for jobs like police, fire, nurse, teacher. Just some food for thought. I'm sure there are deals like this all around the counrty you just have to know where to dig.

Well french toast is my favorite breakfast treat so I think I will enjoy some right now mmmmmmmmm!!! Thank you

So I discovered something very intresting! For some unknown reason I woke up at 6:30am and was wide awake. So I thought I would get a head start on the morning errands bc there is a 24 hr walmart right near by. I should say that usually this walmart is a mobscene and I stay away. I have never seen a place so crowded. Anyway this morning a 7am when I got there it was wonderful. :yay: I went up and down every aisle and didnt have duck tantrumming childrens toys being thrown, or a pack of wild teenagers standing directly in the middle of the aisle, or any elderly walking ever so slowly and again right in the middle of the aisle. I actually enjoyed my time at walmart. They have alot of stuff there. I ended up staying there for an hour and a half.

As I was checking out I thought I would go home and go for a walk and do something active, as soon as I stepped outside I quickly changed my mind. It was all ready so hot!! The heat index was 105! I am again so jealous of everyone ina northern state preparing for fall

So I think I have rambled on long enough....

2xcited2slp::So sorry to hear about your sister's dog. Get some rest and I'll talk to you tomorrow night..or the next!! :sunny:

lyzziesmom::Glad to see your trip counter is back!! When exactly is Lyzzie's birthday. Nathan's is Sept.10th.

Mi mom of 3:: Congratulations on the anniversary!! It will be 18 years for DH and I on Oct.17th. Guess he's a keeper!! :lovestruc

precious pixie:: Shopping early has it's advantages!! I have done this at Christmas, sure is nice to not have to fight the crowds!! :crowded:

Nitey night all!!
See ya at breakfast!!

Hi All!! :wave2:

I did have a productive day 2x. Thanks for asking. I got up and made it to mass this morning without DH (yea me) because he went fishing very early. I don't like going to church w/out him. He goes w/out me sometimes (like when I'm sick) no problem but I'm the dork who doesn't like to go w/out him.

Then, I came back and got completely caught up on our little thready here. (Yea me)

Then DH came home and we went out for lunch. I was a hankerin' for a meatball sub and I saved my points just for it!
We went and returned some things we didn't need for home improvements and then we came back and I primed the shed and clothesline cross poles for painting and then I helped DH stain the deck. What would he do without me? We have a paint gun and I carried the 2 gallon bucket around and made sure the suction hose stayed in the bucket. I must have used muscles I don't normally use because my hands don't want to work right. They feel like they have a mind of their own. I keep having to hit the backspace button because my fingers are just all oved the place. (see what I mean with the over?)
Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment. Yuck!!

I know it seems like I'm bragging on myself. I don't mean too, it's just that I'm finding I'm more able to do things (with getting this house ready for sale) than I ever knew. It feels good.

Yea!!! For you Lyzzie and Emma's Mom!! Moving day is fast approaching!!! HEY, you move on the day I leave for WDW!! I'll be thinking about ya'! You can just watch my countdown timer and use it for your move timer too.

Got to tell you guys a some funny tales that DH slipped on me today. . .
We were running out of steam doing errands so I said to DH, "Let's just come home I'll get to WalMart on Wednesday." And DH says, "What is your Dis pager going off? Must get to the Disboards and enter the type before it blows up in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 . . ." I was like, "Shut UP!"
sly.gif

Then at a later time I was asking him to take the FindYourSpot.com quiz again and he said, "Well, when you go get on the DIS, just remind me and I'll come take it. . . . .short little long pause . . . . . Notice how I just assumed you'd be on the DIS?"

Crazy man, by the way he talks you'd think DISing is all I do. Sheesh
blush.gif

What are ya' going to do? Well, I've got to get to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Hi everyone!!! :)

I hate Sunday nights, ugh. That just means Monday is so close! :guilty:

Lyzziesmom, It was me who is looking to get a tattoo. Actually, tonight DH & I went ot a tattoo parlor just to look around and see if we like anything. The place seemed nice enough, I don't know. :confused3 I need to find something I'll really like (forever) so I'm nervous about it! I change my mind so much!

We also went to Olive Garden for dinner and then we went to Wegman's (This grocery store that is totally awesome, we drive like 20 miles to go to it because they have Whole Foods stuff, which I like to get for the meat, etc. since it has no growth hormones, etc. but they also have Coke!)

Now I'm going to shower and watch Big Brother..(yes, I'm that dorky...)

Talk to you all tomorrow!!! :lovestruc :grouphug:

ok so jsut one more thought for the night..
Being in the stores now with everything back to school it reminds me of picking out the backpack and the lunchbox that you were going to have all year! I want nothing more than to buy that tinkerbell lunchbox with maching thermos and parade around proudly. I honestly don't know why I havent. What can be more motivating to bring my own lunch than a tinkerbell lunchbox witha matching thermos. You know they shoudl really mke grown up disney lunchboxes.

Donna, I was watching the Parent Trap too! Well ok Lyzzie was watching it, but we only have the one tv, so I was watching it too. It's cute, but I have to say I still like the original better. I'm just weird like that, I don't really like too many remakes.

Lyzzie's birthday is September 17th - just a few days after we move. Last year we actually moved into our apartment ON her birthday. I wish we could be in WDW on her real birthday, since the trip is pretty much her gift (I did get her a few small things thanks to Target clearance!) but I only had a few vacation days left and going over Labor Day meant we could squeeze a 10-day trip out of 5 vacation days. So... early birthday it is!

pixie, I love the 24-hour WalMarts! I can't really take advantage now that I have the kiddos, but I used to do all my best shopping around 3am. Then the next day, I'd be like, "What the heck did I buy at 3am that I needed so badly?" My DD has a Tinkerbell backpack, and I have a Tinkerbell purse... better than a lunchbox since I don't usually bring lunch to work but I always have my purse!

April, cool about your timer being used for my moving day, I will have to keep an eye on it!

Ashley, so YOU'RE the tattoo girl! A-ha, I knew I wasn't going crazy, it was one of you A's!! When I got my first one, I must have visited the shop a dozen times... they knew me by name by the time I actually got any ink done! I noticed that I kept coming back to the same design every visit, so that is what I ended up getting and I still like it. You can also bring in any picture that you like and they can turn it into a tattoo for you. A good, reputable shop won't even charge you extra for it. I did that with one that I drew myself, and one place told me that was considered "custom" and they would charge an extra hundred bucks an hour for it, and that it would take two hours!! Thanks, but no thanks buddy. Ended up getting the whole shebang done for sixty at the same shop I'd been to before.

I need to check on my grape juice... I have a cup of it in the freezer and I keep stirring it as it freezes so it gets slushy. I discovered this while I was pregnant and craved frozen drinks, it is so yummy! Frozen Sunny Delight is good too, as long as it doesn't freeze solid.

Night all!

Hi April,

This made me laugh out loud. My DH is always making some crack about the DIS boards...but now he is on a running board since he's been training for a marathon. Now he is always reading or telling me some story from the board...the other day he showed me someone's avatar. It was a someone running with a pair of scissors :rotfl: The only thing that bugs me is when I'm talking about something and I have to say "someone on the dis boards"...because this is where I stay up to date on current event. :surfweb:
Oh...give your self a huge pat on the back...you are on a roll of productivity and you should feel great about it :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hey DznyFan...it's hard to believe school starts this week. We start the 17th too....I think we are all ready. :thumbsup2

Linda: I'm really hoping your job will work out for you at home....that will be very nice. Hope you are surviving the week without your little angel.

2xcited...hey I ate on the Hill at one of those Italian restaurants...but those names don't sound familar. I'll have to find out the name from my mom. Hey, if you want to meet at Pino's and watch for Morelli let me know. :cheer2: Thanks for the Pop Tart...I really had a chocolate chip pop tart this am...I know that's bad...DS's love them...I try to save them for when they go to Gandma's but I caved...and look who's right there with them. We followed the pop tart with Taco Bueno for lunch and then I went to see movie with my sister so I had popcorn, coke, and penut butter m&ms for dinner...not the best day. Sorry to hear about you sisters dog...not to make a joke but he sounded like Bob with the list of things he ate.

Donna...thanks for the fench toast...you really get my cravings going not to mention you've spoiled me a time or two with special request. Hey if you need a roomie for the trip I'll volunteer...I'm an excellent photographer. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I'm going to attempt to say hi now to evreyone since I've been out of the loop it seems like so  Ashley, Michele, Keishashadow (official hello), lyzziesmom, luvdzne (official hello), mommyintn, Amber, Nicole :wave2: , pozey, precious pixie (official hello)...and I know I left someone out so hello to you too.

Oh...I don't have a tatoo but if I ever get one it would have to be Mickey Mouse. As for piercings...only my ears...I have a weak stomach and really get grossed out by them. :rolleyes1 They just look painful..... ::yes:: :faint:
