I'm always planning something...cruise, wdw...somewhere else... like we're planning Hawaii next year... dh use to hardly ever go anywhere other than w/work...and now I've cured him of that... I went to wdw, cruise and back to wdw w/in 9 months a few years ago I love it!!

Congrats on 1500 posts!!

We are already starting to plan next years vacation. We have already taken our 2006 vacation - we went to Disney World in May. We generally only take 1 big vacation per year. The past 2 years we have gone to Disney World for 10 days each year.

Next year, we are thinking about doing a "smaller" vacation and spending some of our normal vacation money on other things.

we were at wdw this year from April 25-May5..then spent a night w/his aunt that lives 2 hrs. north of wdw... that's what we started doing...last year we went to Yellowstone for 2 weeks...stopping at Mt. Rushmore for 2 nights...that was a great trip! I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did. Talk about a LONG drive!!! 2 days each way!! We alternate years who chooses where we go..this year was mine and he said Hawaii for next year...but when we got married we both had a hot tub so I told him I'd use the $ from my hot tub we sold for a cruise or something...he said ok...so I'll call our meet my free trip from selling my hot tub That should work!

DznyFan...do you still live in OH? Some of the guys I work w/are die hard OSU fans... naturally..here in Columbus! My boss has club level seats for the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Indians...but here they swear they bleed scarlet and grey Love the cruise pix!!!! I can't wait to go again!! Maybe I can talk dh into one soon.

OSU = Oklahoma State University. There's a few OSUs around. The fans of ours bleed orange and black.

And Miss DznyFan--How about JD with sorbet??

As we always plan our trips together, and I've got a NYC trip next year as well, the only thing I can say is I'll be there at the end of May/early June next year for our annual trip. I thought we might be going this Oct, but that's not going to pan out. The other definite for us will be a 7 night cruise after school gets out in 2008 - a grad trip for DD.

But I don't understand all the sports talk--not my thing. Sorry Pozey. We can talk cooking or baking, though. Or how you look like JD.

Football or food - I can discuss either. Or JD. I like being well-rounded.

I just got our reservations for next years trip. June 17-25 at OKW then the 25-29 at Vero Beach. Right now everything is reserved at OKW. I will call in late November and try to switch to Vero Beach for the last days. I love being able to relax at the beach before coming home. We all know that you need a vacation from a vacation when you do Disney right

We went end May/early June this year. It was hotter than we're accustomed to - we usually go in early Dec, but can no longer take DD out of school. The crowds weren't TOO bad, but definitely more people than off season. We would go back to the room in the afternoon for a couple hours before heading back out. In December 2005 we went over the Christmas break - we were there from the 23rd through Jan 1. It was nuts. I'll never go that week again. If I can find it, I'll post a shot of what the crowds were like. I thought I had it on a CD here at work, but I can't seem to find it.

I've read that the best time is the first week of Dec... my boss goes every year at that time.. late April early May was great... lines weren't too bad but I think I'd like to try even a lighter time sometime. DH ends up sitting most of the time waiting on Kenny and I on rides... he does the easy ones...but not anything that will hurt or jerk his back. I don't want him to sit and sweat to death...he won't want to go back! well...my baby is off to his first soccer practice!!!

I went May 19-23 this year and it was pretty good. Not as good as when we go in September, but the weather was mild and I don't think we were in any lines for over 20 minutes (and that was for buses!). I think any later would have been more crowded though. It was a good time for us, because it was Emma's first time and it was close enough to her 2nd birthday that we celebrated it at WDW!

OMIGOD!!!!! Continental Airlines just called and DH's flight from Newark tonight is cancelled!!!

I just got off the phone with them. The first guy I talked to, his whole attitude was flight's cancelled, too bad, deal with it Luckily he connected me to a woman in international flights since DH is on a flight from Beijing right now and can't do much!! She was great, she checked all other airlines and there is nothing else from Newark to Detroit tonight. He is confirmed on the 6:55 am flight tomorrow and she was able to give me numbers for hotels. I got Blake a room at the Marriott for tonight, so he has somewhere to rest. And she gave me the paging number for the airport so I can try to reach him if he doesn't call me.

He doesn't usually give me his itinerary, luckily this time he did, because everytime I talked to someone they asked me his confirmation number. Luckily I had it. I will make sure I have all the paperwork everytime he flies from now on.

I am disappointed but I can't imagine how he is going to feel. He just wants to come home

the Flower and Garden Festival was one of the reasons I couldn't wait to go to Epcot that is awesome!!! I got Kennys picture in front of most of them

Awww Emma's 2nd b-day celebration at wdw!!! That is awesome!

We were there for my 29th ...but it's not the same as the kids...I would rather be there for theirs!!! See their faces light up when people wished them a happy birthday and made a fuss over them priceless!!

eta...SORRY MICHELE!!! Hope Blake makes it home safe... maybe they'll have something open up? Maybe someone will miss their flight and he can go on as standby? Good luck!!
