Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

Pozey - you have my deepest sympathy.
Thank you my dear.

I am very disappointed, but I am not the kind of person who will wallow in despair over the loss of a football game. I love my Sooners, but life goes on.....win or lose.

The sun came up today, my kids still love me, and I'm still breathing.....

I'm good.

Except for the fact that I left my blankety blank blank cell phone at home!!! :headache:

Good morning! It's a bit cold here at -4.
5.gif
I have to say I am really happy now about having to get our new furnace. It set us back a bit, but boy does it make a difference. I'm counting down days until this weekend's....heat wave!

Ashley, I wanted to tell you that you tell a wonderful story with your pictures.:) They make me feel like I was on vacation with you. I am so glad you guys had fun! I'm sorry about Jeremiah's job situation, but it sounds like it may work out in the end. I think you will be much happier closer to your family. Good luck to you guys!

Dznyfan, They sure took away the fun of the DDP. I could see one or the other but both appetizer and dessert. :sad2: Not worth the price anymore! Have fun planning.

Lizziesmom, very cute idea with the Mickey heads! Good luck to lizzie at the dentist today.

Michele, I hope you have a good day back at school. My kids really could have used a day back at school yesterday, at least I know I could have used a day with them back at school.;)

Donna, Nathan was so hungry he could eat the house. :confused3 Now that's pretty hungry!:lmao: :rotfl2:

Linda, I hope your feeling better today!

Nicole, it really stinks you can't get credit, but you are going to have a great time. Also, it will look good on a job application when the time comes!;)

Pozey, did you have a good birthday? Did you get anything good?

Today the girls and I are going to see The chipmunk movie, then Britt has a few gift cards burning a hole in her pocket. So I guess we're heading to the mall. Only stinky thing is, it's an outdoor mall. You have to walk out in the cold to get from store to store.:scared:

I got a call back from the Speech therapist yesterday. She had not heard back from the Dr yet (surprise surprise  ), but she is going to stay on top of it, as they admit it was their fault for not getting her in for the testing before the referral expired. She is going to keep the test for Monday for the time being and hope that the referral comes through. Keep your fingers crossed, I just want to get the test done and over with so we can move on. :headache:

Have a great day everyone, and stay warm!

Lesa - they really did take the fun out of the dining plan. We do get dessert, just not the appetizer. The problem is, my family are not dessert eaters!! We are, however, salad and appetizer eaters, so it really kills it for us!! good luck with the therapist situation today!!

Pozey - Oh, I know you're not that much of an OU nut - I was joshin'.... sort of.

Pozey - Oh, I know you're not that much of an OU nut - I was joshin'.... sort of.

Oh, I am an OU nut.....

Just don't take it as a life and death kind of thing like others......such as...

The guy who is in the office next to mine.....

He's an OU fan....and of course we were talking about the game. And make no mistake.....I'm disappointed OU lost, but this guy was just MAD.

Anyway, he has this nice OU rug in his office in front of his desk. Probably about 5 foot by 3 foot.

So, he's saying things like "who wants my OU rug....I'm giving it away." So, I think he's joking, so I jokingly say...."I'll take it."

3 seconds later....he's dragging it into my office!!!!

Oh.....I forgot to tell you guys.....

I have grown a goatee......

I took a picture last night, but I forgot to load it on Photobucket....

I wanted you guys' opinion......

April said she liked it.

morning everyone!!!!

I was so tired last night that I just had the energy to bake Pozey's birthday cake, so I'll try to catch up a bit now.

Ash----welcome home!!!!
I know it's a scary thing with Jeremiah's job, but try to think positively in the fact that you get to move back home!!! I know that is what you have been wishing for and how wonderful to have family close.
Your pics are great!!!!! How did you like the S5???? The one drawback I am finding is that mine is draining the batteries really quickly and I'm not even using it. I don't know if this is normal, so I need to look into it.
You and your mom are twins!!!!!:goodvibes

Michele----I love your scrapbook!!! I guess you are excused for spending so much time there and not with us.:lmao: :lmao: Oops, who am I to talk???? I barely find the time to check in anymore and feel lowsy about that. Always good to see you though and keep up the good work.

Lesa----welcome home to you, too. Glad you had a good time with your family.
Good luck to you once more in getting everything straightened out with Maddie.
I loved the chipmunk movie-----hope you do too. Stay warm.

YM-----love the pics!!!! You looked so pretty on your birthday-----definitely not a ?????yr old.:lmao: ;)
but where's your ponytail????:rolleyes1

Donna----thanks for breakfast!!!! My drive wasn't too bad yesterday----actually I got to work about 15 min. early. Too bad.:dance3: :lmao: On the way home I had to swing by the Galleria, so I took Olive St. Rd., then Clayton Rd. home. Monday will be the test, though, because I have a feeling people are still home for the holidays.
Nathan's a growing boy-----I suppose he could eat a house.:lmao:

Lyzziesmom----I think Donna explained the leaving early for work situation perfectly. Yep, they decided to close completely one of the most highly traffic(c??)ed interstates for at least one year. (I've even heard 2 years.) I, of course, live in the city and work in the burbs.
Love the idea of the countdown. I just need a trip now to count down.:rotfl2:

Pozey----the video of Courtney and April is adorable!!! I had their little song stuck in my head for a bit the other night when I viewed it. Too cute.

Linda----lovely to be back, huh??:rolleyes1
I know a long time ago, you said someone you knew had some "secret" rest. recipes. Any chance having the Outback Sydney's Sinful Sundae???? I know it is toasted coconut, but I need the homemade chocolate sauce. Every recipe says Hershey's sauce microwaved, but I know for a fact that is NOT right. It is a richer, thicker sauce, but I can't find it. Just thought maybe that one may be on your list??? If not, no big deal. Thanks if you have a minute to check.
Saturday is my dad's birthday and he loves this sundae, but we are not going to Outback but a different local steakhouse, but we don't want to go to another place just for dessert, so I thought I may try to duplicate it????

My hands are freezing and having a hard time typing, so I will call it quits for now.

Hi to Amber (feel better:hug: ), Nicole (starting your countdown??), DznyFan (yay for planning and yes---he's sexy NO MATTER WHAT:lmao: ), Shannon (you and Ash are TWINS:cutie: ), Lin, and anyone I'm forgetting???:headache:

oh, and one more thing-----about the recipe I gave in my Christmas card------Gooey Butter Cake is "supposedly" a St. Louis thing, or at least that is what they claim, although it has caught on everywhere, I think. Anyway, we always had gooey butter cake for breakfast when I was growing up and it was yummy. This is a "holiday" version with the pumpkin. Remember to not overbake. Enjoy.

Hey 2x2s!!!

Are you using the LCD screen when taking pictures? Doing that will drain the batteries MUCH quicker than if you use the viewfinder.

It took me a little bit to get used to not using the LCD (I can't with my dSLR), but my batteries last SO much longer (ie. I only changed them once when at WDW and I took over 2000 pictures).

Hi Amber!!!

Yes!!! I use the LCD screen for everything-----shooting, viewing pics, deleting pics.

I never thought about that----thanks for the tip!! I'll see if that makes the difference.

How are you feeling today???

I'm feeling ok; my cold seems to be getting better.

I am 31 weeks today and getting very nervous about the upcoming weeks.

Morning everyone! Well today is the day, Lyzzie's much-feared dental appointment. I will be going to hold her hand over my lunch hour and hopefully it'll go well. I'm just hoping they'll have her new teeth ready before vacation and our photo shoot! Which reminds me... I have a phone call to make. I just wanted to check in and say hello to all my friends. :)

I was so tired last night that I just had the energy to bake Pozey's birthday cake, so I'll try to catch up a bit now.
Well, you did a fabulous job on the cake!!! Thank you.

Pozey----the video of Courtney and April is adorable!!! I had their little song stuck in my head for a bit the other night when I viewed it. Too cute.
I LOVE for her to sing me that song. She had just finished teaching it to April, when I taped them.

Amber: Wow it's really getting close. Try not to be so nervous, just arm yourself with information and try to turn that nervous energy into excitement. We're all here with you!

glad to hear your cold is getting better. This time of year just gets everyone.

I don't have any words of wisdom for you, because I don't have children, but from what I've heard, it's perfectly normal for you to be nervous. And, pretty soon you'll start your "nesting" phase----everything in order (or at least that's what I hear;) )

You'll be a great mommy!!!

have to run-----have a great day all!!!!!

one more thing............

good luck to Lyzzie!!!!

oops, two more things............

pics please Pozey!!!:cool2:

question for you recent WDW guests:

Are they automatically charging an 18% gratuity at all table service restaurants now? I thought I heard/read that they were going to implement that and I'd like to know for bean-counting purposes.

Nerd. :rotfl2:

I say that.....and every trip I take, I have a spreadsheet in Excel that has each restaurant we are going to eat at that has prices of the meals we would probably order....including tax and tip.....

And I can pretty much nail exactly how much we will spend.
