pozey: Sounds like the friendship is developing nicely! Did you get any shared pictures in return (besides boots, that is)? ;) ;)
Yes. :thumbsup2 (thumb) :yay: :woohoo:

(too many happy smilies??)

You're cracking me up, they wouldn't know what an ADR is! Like I said, I haven't been to one in YEARS but I never made a reservation. I'd just walk in and never had to wait more than 10 minutes. I would only go for dessert, because I can't stand to look at raw meat. :crazy2:

:rotfl2: well, YOU guys know what an adr is rather than typing that loooong word that the rest of society calls them:laughing: :snooty: :rotfl2: It looks great!!! I think we'd really enjoy that place! I'd hate to go w/o Kenny though. There is a chance his dad might pick him up this weekend ;).. but this morning Kenny said "I doubt he'll come this weekend".. he's so cute, but it's so sad it's like that:guilty:
Yeah, I think pozey has a great friendship developing as well:cool2:

Nope...never too many smilies!!!

Funny about using the term ADR instead of the long word. Course I still think of it as priority seating. Old habits are hard to break.

Yes, you can make an "ADR" at the Melting Pot - we had one, made it yesterday afternoon, but we probably didn't need it. Although I liked the meats - we had a "Big Night Out" - the Fondue Fusion, I think, and it was all good, my faves were simply the cheese (with the bread, veggies, and apples), and the dessert. I'd be perfectly content just going for that. And look at me, I'm finally hungry again.

Back from the eye doc, not sure I'm happy. I'm horribly nearsighted, and over the past couple years, the near vision is starting to go as well - age. She's trying to keep me in a contact lens that will correct both, but I'm not sure the new one today is any better than before. Guess we'll have to try something else. Nothing like going to the eye doctor when you've got a headache! :headache:

And I've got to go back out! Pick up prescriptions, send the ACT test registration off, and haven't even touched the house yet.

Hey guys! I brought Maddie home for lunch and then I have to head back up to school.

Nope, no heat here! This morning it was 59* in the house. :scared: Maddie and I couldn't wait to get to school so we could be warm.:rotfl2: Right now it says it's 63*.;) Actually it doesn't feel too bad, and maybe if we start getting used to it gradually, we won't need heat all winter! :rolleyes1

Wow, the time went quick, time to head back to school. Have a great day!

I just ate and that still sound SO tasty!!! yes, old habits are very hard to break. You just make it sound so incredibly delicious!!!:cloud9:

Sorry you have a :headache: still! I don't like going anywhere w/a headache, let alone the eye dr!! :guilty:

not if you move to FL:laughing: Mike says he'll move closer... to KY:lmao: good one Mike:rotfl2:

Have fun back at school.

Hey cliqueless friends!

What's with the headaches...I have a very rotten one today. At least I can still read the computer screen. :headache: :headache: :headache:

I'm supposed to play cards tonight...hope I can get rid of it before then.

Looks like everyone is glad it's Friday. I have to work a mandatory mass flu shot clinic tomorrow. We are having two very large operations around town. One is outside. I'm sure I will be stuck at that one...I'll be in the sock hat becuase it supposed to be chilly in the morning. I not overyly happy about this assignment. DS has a football game that I will have to miss.:sad1:

Well, I've blabbed about myself plently...I need to go catch up and see what everyone else is up too. :rolleyes1

DznyFan: I hope you get the eye dr. thing straightened out! I have horrible vision, without contacts or glasses I'm legally blind. I have a range of about an inch where I can see clearly without it being too close or too far, it really stinks. I'm a great candidate for lasik, if only insurance would cover it. I don't even have basic vision coverage. I'm always terrified that it's going to get too bad to wear contacts, because I can't see well with my glasses and they give me headaches. My biggest fear is losing my sight -- don't mess with my EYES!!

My mom's vision is not nearly as bad, but for some reason she's been having a heck of a time finding contacts that work for her. Her eye dr. keeps trying new things and she's been going every month or so for TWO YEARS, can you imagine? She's always word hard lenses and wanted to switch, but they seem to have messed up her eyes.

We had Pizza Friday today, I still can not get over the amount of complaining that goes on about FREE pizza! Everyone has been begging for pizza from this certain local place that's VERY expensive, so today that's what we got. Guess what? Most people don't like it! It ran us almost $400 to feed 80 people pizza, and it tastes like the stuff from Sbarro's at the mall. Not bad, but not great. Sheesh. At least it was edible... and filling. ;)

What are everyone's plans for the weekend? I have none so far and that's just the way I like it! The only things I need to do are some laundry (the hateful never-ending chore) and beating my dumb cat within an inch of her life. Dusty pooped on the rug again, and then at lunchtime she peed on the living room rug RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! So scratch that, I do have weekend plans. I need to go to the pet store and find some kind of cat deterrant to put on the rugs.

Yes. :thumbsup2 (thumb) :yay: :woohoo:

Pozey, I'm glad you are having fun chatting with your friend.:thumbsup2

There can never be too many happy smileys.

Agreed!!!!::yes:: :goodvibes ;) :) :santa:

DnzyFan...do you think it's the weather cuasing the headaches. I haven't had one this bad in several months.:headache: I feel for you having to read all those eye charts with a headache. I agree with you...I liked the priority seating...it was shorter!:rolleyes1

YM - sometimes I just get sinus headaches. Not sure what it is today. I used to get horrible migraines, all hormone related - don't have that problem any more!! Good luck getting rid of your headache before tomorrow. Where will you be tomorrow with your clinic? Is it open to the public? Need to get the child a flu shot - she's been bugging me about it.

Lyzziesmom - I'm with you on the Lasik. Great candidate for it (except for the near vision now...) but until my insurance will pay for it.... Theres 2 things I'd do in a heartbeat if my insurance covered it - lasik and braces. And liposuction. OK, 3. (kidding) I'm almost to the point of just biting the bullet and making monthly payments on the darn lasik.
You know, what is it about people griping about free stuff?? I guess some just feel the need to gripe about something. Geez - be thankful!

I know! I've been getting them a lot too:headache: Hope you can get rid of it before your card plans tonight!! Sorry you have to work tomorrow:guilty: I would hate to miss a game too:sad1: maybe your dh can tape it, or take lots of pics:hug:
Hey Linda...I just made my final payment for our Dinsey trip. Can you believe it's getting so close.:woohoo: :yay: :dance3:
no, I really can't!! I'm getting SO excited!!! I've been checking out more stuff on TGM to print too:laughing: never too much planning I guess ;)
don't mess with my EYES!!

I was nervous about lasik! I was diagnosed w/an eye disease when I was 3 and had to have steroid drops for years. I had so much scar tissue, they all said I'd never be able to have it done...blah blah blah:laughing: I had it done, and it has been wonderful!!!! I"m so glad I got it done!!!:cloud9: Just to be able to swim and see at the same time:rotfl: its amazing!!!
It is crazy when people are getting something FREE and still complain:confused3 some people don't appreciate anything:sad2:
good luck w/pet store trip!!

I think we'll run down here and see about eating at the Melting Pot:lmao: Dznyfan has had my mouth watering all day!!! Then make a trip to the other mall and go to TDS and Costco:woohoo: Costco has sugar by the 20# bag....Mike needs a bunch to start some new wine going:cool1:

Lyzziesmom, my eyesight is the same way. I am horribly nearsighted (and recently developed an astigmatism) and can't see anything without my contacts. I hate taking them out, because it's hard to see to get them back in. I was told when I was around 12 that if I didn't switch to contacts, I would be blind by 19. :guilty: Mike really wants me to have Lasik, but it scares the heck of me.

If your mom has only worn hard lenses, they have probably reshaped her eye. When I first got contacts, I wore hard lenses, but after a couple of years, they start to change the shape of your cornea. Luckily, I switched to soft lenses before it got too bad.

YM, sorry your have a mandatory clinic. Hopefully, it won't be too bad.

We have no real plans for this weekend. A friend is suppose to come up tomorrow and Mike is suppose to work on the baby's room. Other than that, I think we are just staying home.

Oh, I am suppose to have more blood drawn tomorrow. Nothing like getting up at 6:30am to sit in the hospital. Can you tell I am excited?

you'd love it!!!:cloud9: that is one of those things you say "best $ ever spent!"

Yay..working on the babys room!! Sorry you have to go to the hospital so early:headache:
Its nothing to be scared of. It's really a piece of cake! After a few years of convincing, my co-worker finally had it last Friday and let me tell you...he's THE biggest baby! I'm so serious!!! He has his mom come take him home from the dentist!!! BIG baby!!! He went through the lasik w/o any problems at all and didn't freak out:laughing: but, I did hear to wait til you're done having babies b/c it changes your vision ;)

the lady just called...she hasn't had time to visit his home yet, but did speak to him.

He said that they had ordered chinese earlier in the day and there was food from that in the fridge.... COME ON:mad: .... what 6 yr old do you know is going to go in someone elses house, just get in the fridge, get whatever they want, and put it in the microwave and eat:confused3

He's NOT going over there...I don't care! And he was with family all day.. Yeah..a 12 yr old that obviously wasn't capable! I was at 12...but definitely not her!!! She didn't mention the drinking and driving, the bathing issues...or anything else... but for now...he's not going, I don't care! His safety is much more important. He wouldn't be spending time w/him anyway:rolleyes:

ok, vent over! Sorry:rolleyes1

Hi guys....

I just got horrible news.....

Our company lost one of our major clients.....

We may have layoffs next week.

And I'm at the bottom of the totem pole.......

I have to go to the bank.....

and then I have to go to REASOR'S to get a thing or two... :rolleyes1

I'll probably be at REASOR'S in about 20 minutes or so..... That would be about 3:40 - 3:45.....

Oh no pozey! I hope everything works out for you with your job. Good thing you've been scouting for a new one already, hopefully things will fall into place. Best of luck!

Linda: I can't believe they haven't inspected your ex's home yet but they've talked to him! Of course he's going to put his spin on it to make it sound like everything's fine, and don't they realize that with that much time, he's got time to fix things up for the inspection? It should totally be a surprise, to see what things are REALLY like. Hopefully the caseworker has enough experience to be able to see through the BS. I wouldn't be letting Kenny go over there either if I were you. What a crock!!

I have an uncle - my mom's youngest brother - who is in jail because of custody issues. He started out in a similar situation as you are... he was the responsible one and his ex is a nutjob! Her house was totally unstable, she lived with her mom while she went out and partied all the time. Then things got crazy. She kept calling the cops on my uncle for the tiniest things and not letting him see the child, but then she took it too far and had a restraining order put on my uncle because he insisted on taking the kid anyway, when he was supposed to, but she didn't want him to. He pushed her and took the kid. Then he didn't want the kid to go back to her when he was supposed to, so he tried to keep him. She pressed kidnapping charges. (I may have some details wrong but that's the gist of it.) It went on like this for months, and even though my uncle had good intentions, he just didn't listen to the courts and landed his butt in jail. The crazy thing is, he's still trying to get visitation! He wants this baby (the same age as Emma) to visit him IN JAIL! He just doesn't see that this is NOT in the child's best interest. The saddest part is that my uncle, who was always the nerdy quiet guy, has decided he likes jail. He's got a place to stay, decent food, and a job working with computers. I'm not sure why I'm telling you guys this, other than something in Linda's post made me think of it.
