Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

Leary is the pug. Cyprus is the boxer. They both drive me crazy, but I love them.

I can't wait to meet Kenny. My little brother is just like that. He acts and sounds much older than he is. I guess it's because he's spent most of his time around adults.
that's right...darn, I was close:laughing: yeah, he's been around mostly adults. It definitely shows. He's so mature for his age..and I've never "babied" him...I can't wait either!!! :woohoo:
Yes, it does....

I can't believe my baby will be 7..it's just unreal! It seems like last year he was still crawling around and "cruisin", not quite walking yet:cloud9: I love looking at his baby pictures! So does he...he loves hearing about when he was little.:cloud9:

He is amazed w/animals. He'd rather watch animal planet than cartoons anyday! ... We have to go on a cruise...that's all there is too it::yes::

Emma is a huge animal lover too. Whenever she gets to touch an animal or even just sees one, her eyes just light up. She buries her face in the cats' fur all the time and just loves them so much. Lyzzie loves them but is happy to just pat them on the head and then she's done, but not Emma! She seems to understand their moods too, it's really cool to watch her interact with animals. She's very much a little me in that regard. Yes, a cruise is a must!! Even if I can't do the DCL cruise next year I just have to do one soon.

That is exactly where Kenny is! He'll be 7 in Feb!!

Wow, Emma is smaller than most of the kids in her daycare 3-yo class, and she's 31 pounds! I have no idea how tall she is though. I always thought she was tall though because all her clothes that fit around the waist are too short in the legs, or if they're long enough then they fall down around her waist. But she's almost a head shorter than the other kids in her class! Maybe they are all just freakishly tall kids?

Lyzziesmom - I'm sorry, but there is no such thing as a vent limit here.

Whew! That's good to hear, because some days I feel like all I do is vent and rant.

That's how Lyzzie was when she was littler, she was not around kids at all until she started daycare at almost 4. Now she has her friends but she still thinks kids act weird mostly and doesn't have great social skills among kids her own age. Emma loves to be around adults too and talks like a little adult. She'll say, "So, how was your day?" and things like that if there's a lull in the conversation! She hung around the adults at the Halloween party the other night instead of playing with the kids and was a big hit! She's such a great conversationalist... it's too bad most people can't understand what the heck she's saying because most of it is so funny!

I'm 5' 4"..but not 115:laughing:
nope, me either, sister!

Isn't it interesting how kids act when they're not babied? We too, never babied ours - she to this day enjoys the company of adults (and her friends, too), she doesn't go retreat into her room for hours at a a time, things like that. They're just little adults.

Good afternoon!

Lyzziesmom- I'm sorry about your car.

Linda- Everyone wants some of your wine! :rotfl:

It looks like I missed the drama. I'm glad I did.

that is too cute! Emma is such a sweetie!:cutie: you know me...I'm always shopping for the cheapest prices ;) plus if your mom goes:rolleyes1 not that you want her to..and NO you can't throw her over:laughing:
I think they do much better overall if they're not babied like that...
I bet Emma was a riot!
nope, me either, sister!

I know...I talk to Kenny every morning before he leaves for school and every day after school...he'll say " hi mom, how was your day? mine was good. so, what are you doing, you know, other than being tired and driving home from work? he cracks me up!
I think it's great when they're not babied like that. They're going to act how you allow them. If you treat them like a baby all the time, they'll expect that when they're 30:laughing: Yes, they're totally little adults. we always get compliments on Kenny behavior and manners...he's just a kid, he's definitely not perfect... but I do try to teach him well. One of these days, he'll be thankful! I'm so glad my mom was so hard on me!

you had a costume pic...didn't you:rolleyes1

ARRRRRRGHHHHH!!!

My mom just called -- my car is in the shop. And oh yeah, she didn't think far enough ahead to figure out how to get me home from work. But she will be "nice" enough to offer to pay the mechanic and then I can just owe her. Yeah, because I LOVE that. Damn it!

:scared1: OMG...I'm sorry lyzziesmom:grouphug:

I think -- I'm not sure because the woman can't communicate for crap -- but I think she just asked the mechanic to change the transmission fluid. If that's the case, then ok. But am I wrong in thinking I should have a say in this? That's the worst thing... I don't have much contact with other people, I don't have many friends that I talk to regularly (besides you guys) and so my parents have a way of sucking me back into their crazy life and making me second-guess myself and think that their way is normal and I'M the crazy one for disagreeing.

you're not crazy...If I'm the one that is paying, you better believe I am the one that should make the decision! I don't think your mom realizes how hard financially it is for you. :guilty: by just saying "you can pay ME back" like its no big deal:confused3 if its just VERY minor...ok...I can see that..but major things...NO way!

You are not crazy Lyzziesmom! I would be mad too if my parents did something like that too.

Linda- See, I was right! Everyone does want some wine! :rotfl:

Some of us want more wine than others... and faster. ;)

j/k... but I promise when I drink it I'll come on here for everyone's amusement.

She sends us all wine, then we all come here to drink it. We'll just all entertain each other.
