Ashley- I can't wait to hear when you get your package because then I know mine will be coming about a week later! :cheer2:

Donna- Can't wait to see you there! :teeth:

Hi Pixie!

Got DS down to the bus in plenty of time. We were there by 7:31 and the bus didn't come until 7:43 this morning!!!
I'm getting tired. I worked sooo hard this morning making omelets and all!! :teeth: Think I'll turn in for the night and get ready for my busy day tomorrow!!!
BTW, the balloons did lift off, but I guess most of them had left for the weekend as there were only about 5 that took off. Usually there are dozens, and quite a spectacular sight!!! Oh well, got to eat Mom's gooood food!!! :goodvibes
See you all tomorrow!! Any requests for breakfast? hummm

I'm so far behind on everyone's posts... I just skimmed over and I actually typed out a long detailed post last night responding to everyone, but I lost it. Darn wireless! Today I was only able to skim over, so I think I'll just jump back in.

Pozey, your DD is such a cutie pie! She must be a trooper to have such a big smile with a broken arm. I've broken both of mine as an adult, and it HURTS. The first time I passed out, and the second time I stayed conscious only by sheer force of will - I was alone at Universal Studios with Lyzzie and terrified of losing consciousness. I hope your DD heals quickly and well, I really feel for her.

I'm so excited, only 10 more days!! (the rest of today doesn't count) I'm a little nervous because this will be the first vacation I've taken with my parents since our "family vacations" when I was a kid, and they never went well. I mean, we always made the best of it, but it's just not a family vacation until Dad has a hissy fit and swears at someone!

We had a contractor look at the house today to get a quote on refinishing the hardwood floors: over $1200.00!! Yikes! So... next weekend we will be renting some equipment and taking a stab at doing it ourselves. I figure heck, if my Dad & I could hang wallpaper together - which neither of us have ever done - with no cursing or starting over, we can polish a little bit of wood! Hopefully Mom remembered to bring their camera home so I can get some pictures up tomorrow for you guys. It doesn't even look like the same house, and we've only got a couple of rooms 1/2 done!

Cute story: Once the first coat of paint was up in the playroom (the Tink colors) I asked Lyzzie how she liked it. (The colors are quite bright, green and purple, and my dad thinks it's a "pukey" combination!) Lyzzie took one look and grabbed her throat and started to make choking noises. Horrified, I asked her if she really hated it that much. She said, "No, it's breathtaking!" Get it, breathtaking? It took her breath away so she was choking? That girl cracks me up!!

Well, this hootie hoot is going nightie night, right after I say 2x2s, darling, you really need to get cable. JD was in my living room again last night! THAT'S why I was still awake!

Bon soir mon amis---

Everyone's day was good, I hope??

Mine was very nice, I must admit. I met my sister and my 7mo old nephew and we went to lunch at a place called the Chocolate Cafe. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day. We both had salad and quiche. The salad had a champagne vinagarette that was to die for!!! It was just lovely. The quiche was good, but I have made better. (SSHHH) They serve it with a fortune cookie that has been dipped in chocolate. The place was darling!!! Right up my alley. If I had a choice in careers, I would love to own a little cafe like this!! We then ran errands and went back to their house to wait for the other two to get home from school. It is so cute--my 7mo. old nephew is at that age where he "pulls you in" for one of the wet kisses. He also pinches wherever he can reach. OUCH

Anyway, it was wierd to pull up to my sister's house and see the For Sale sign. She told me the other day my nephew (5) took it out of the ground and hid it. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I know this sounds a bit, oh how would you say, bratty, but coming from him it is just funny and sweet because he is very mild mannered and very sensitive.

Does anyone ever watch Everyday Italian on the Food Network?? I know we have talked about it before, but not sure if anyone watches her. Anyway, Giada was making TOASTED RAVIOLI today. I was just telling DznyFan that she must try them when she comes to St. Louis. Giada even gave credit where credit is due to St. Louis!!!!

Lyzzie---Tell your mom to not worry about her job. I am sure she is very well liked and appreciated and does her job like nobodies' business. She deserves to take a nice vacation and spend time with her family. When she gets back, I am sure her boss will be so happy and welcome her with open arms. I know it is way too easy to be paranoid, but no worries, I'm sure. Tell Emma hi too and that the potty is not a pool for her binky. Luv, Auntie Pin-cess. :sunny:
pirate:

Linda---11 pics--from the professional?? YIKES. I wouldn't want to be there when the bride finds out. Hopefully your friend got some good shots.

Pozey--glad you had a good visit with your brother. Are you happy he is moving back to your town?? Is this where you all are from?? Wow, he has travelled, hasn't he??

Oh, your poor little baby!!!! When I saw your first pic, I thought "oh, at least she's smiling"----then I saw the second. :guilty: :guilty: She deserves lot and lots of hugs for this one!! :grouphug: :grouphug: She is beautiful, even with her bummed arm!!! The orthopedic will probably put a perm. cast on?? Uuuuh--more hugs for Courtney.:grouphug: :grouphug:

DznyFan--did you see my Giada story above??

My uncle is quiet the hunter as well, but I've never had llama and especially don't want to now!! He hunted in Canada, I believe and now has a stuffed black bear in his living room. He keeps asking me when I'm going to come over and see it and I keep putting him off. Not so much in a rush to do this. Thanks, but no thanks. I do hate to admit, though, that I do like venison and bison.

Ashley--sorry your weekend went by too quickly--it's because you were running around shopping. Just think, though, it is one step closer to WDW. :goodvibes

About your designs--I'm wondering if they can put a different border around that castle/duckies print, since you don't really care for the "frame". I just think that picture is darling.

Nicole--Did you see The Devil Wears Prada??? Talk about great fashion!!! I really had no desire to see it but I went anyway and fell in love with the clothes, shoes, bags--well, you get it.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :woohoo: YAY FOR ME TAGS!!!!! Have you used this service before?? I did last Feb. and really liked it. Nice, plush busses and you get to watch a video on the ride so it goes quickly and you really get in the mood for the WDW magic!! We are renting a car this upcoming trip, however but I would definitely use ME again. Can you believe it is coming up so soon?? :yay:

Pr. Pix---Good luck on your loan. I cannot believe how high some of the rates can get.

That's wierd that you mentioned French--see my greeting. I took three years in high school, which was embarrassingly 20 yrs. ago. Last spring I took a refresher course through a local community college. It was just okay. I would love to go on with it but timing is the issue. A co-worker is learning Italian through "unforgettable languages.com" and is really liking it. They learn tons and tons of nouns but not very many verbs, she said. It seems like a good company, though. They give easy ways to remember things. I am thinking about picking this up for French, as well. Lyzziesmom and I are going to France, you want to join?? :teeth: :teeth: :lmao:

Donna--anything you would like to prepare--you know we a greatly appreciative!!! insert hungry smilie right here.

April--just wanted to say that I heard "Dancing Queen" yesterday and TOTALLY thought of you!!!! :teeth: :teeth:

YM--what's up girlie???? Call me. :teeth:

Hi to everyone else in our not a clique. :wave2:

p.s. Is it just my eyes, or are the smilies changing locations?? I go to click on one and think---that one was over there the other day. Am I losing it?? You can be honest. :rolleyes1

Grrrrrrr----see the steam coming out of my ears?? Do ya??

what movie was it, btw??

I could be really faceacious (did I butcher that one sp. naz??) and say you just enjoy him on the one dimensional screen cuz I'm enjoying him three. ;) :teeth:

Breathtaking---too cute Lyzzie!! :goodvibes

Am I here all by me-self again??

Geesh, you'd think it was late on a Monday night or somethin'.

Uh-oh, you know what happens when you leave me here all alone, don't you??

Naww, I'll spare you tonight and go read. :teeth:

Nighty night. :dance3:

Hey girlie...I've been busy today...just signed on. I was reading #11 a few minutes ago... :thumbsup2

Just wanted to drop by and say hi before you guys forget me.

Pozey...I'm so sorry about your DD. She is very precious...I hope all goes well with the orthopedist. I think our pediatric medicine (specialist) is very lacking here so I'm glad it's not a bad break... :grouphug:

Linda great pictures! Those eyes are huge!

Ok...so we've had a busy couple of days. I'm going to post a picture of what we have been up to. It's kind of exciting. We have been wanting to rescue a dog and our neighbors parents found a beautiful dog and she is with us now to see how things go. I don't know that much about her because we haven't taken her to the vet. DznyFan...do you have any words of wisdom...I think she is some lab and mabye golden retriever. So far she has been great with hugs....petting...but did give a little snip at DS while she was chewing on her rawhide bone...scared him but didn't hurt him.

I'll try to catch up in the am...missed breakfast today Donna..."HUNH"!

Great big hello to everyone. :woohoo:

YM, cute dog. He looks just like my mom's.

2xcited2slp, I thought the same thing about the smilies; maybe we're both crazy. My banana also won't dance.

lyzziesmom, I have watched many home improvment/decorating shows and redoing a wood floor doesn't 'seem' to hard. Good luck!

I am so sleepy today. I had a horrible dream last night. There was someone trying to break in and kill me. It was horrible and it took me awhile to fall back asleep.

I went to the Disney Store last night and got an Alice in Wonderland snowglobe! It was the last one and I just happened to look down and see it (it wasn't on display). I was thrilled. They don't make many Alice snowglobes, so it's exciting to get one. I got a few other things (pins, antenna toppers, and DH got a shirt). I think I may be going back because the have the cutest zip up hoodies and I want one.

Since no one has made breakfast yet, here you go:

Maybe someone else can make real food; I'm too tired.

Hey several gals and a guy---

Any of you hoots last night have problems with the boards?? I was on for a while--you know where I threatened to have a solo conversation??--and then came back to check some WDW info (actually doing WDW research--imagine that). Then I was going to respond to a PM and it kept telling me there was a problem with the service or something like that. I kept shutting it down and trying to log back on. It was close to 1am before I finally gave up. All of my other websites were fine so I'm sure it was just here. Oh well, we're bound to have problems with all of the members here so you gotta hand it to the webmasters for keeping it running with just small temporary glitches. But I kept thinking "oh no, how am I going to get in touch with my cliqueless buds??" :confused3 :smooth:

I was a bit nervous logging on this morning but all is well, thank goodness.

So, goooood morning---

Good thing is that I didn't miss much so you're in for light reading---well, can't promise that---you know I have a slight problem where I can't keep my fingers shut. :)

YM--I tried to respond to your puppy picture but as you can tell from above, I was experiencing some technical difficulties. Beautiful doggie. I'd say definitely lab. Does she have a name?? Your DS looks so cool with her--like he's saying "hey, looky what I've got." I know that dogs may get a bit possessive with food, bones, etc. so I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. I'd still be on the cautious side, though. That's just the worrier (does that look right??) in me.

Amber--good, I'm glad I'm not the only one that is going nutso. :teeth: Maybe they're just trying to keep us on our toes. But how dare that dancin' banana not do what he is supposed to!! What, does he think he's on this page just for his good looks?? I beg to differ with him. Let's test it out  --nope, not yet--maybe when I submit my post he will start gettin' down.

I'm sorry about your scary dream. I hate those!! You almost feel like you have to sleep with one eye open, if you can even sleep at all. Will you have a chance to take a little snooze today??

Way to go on your Alice snowglobe!! I wonder why they don't make them regularly. This makes it all the more special, though. Thanks for reminding me about the antennae topper--I wanted to pick one up for the rental car when we are down there so we can spot it easily. Wow, such an original idea, huh?? I'm sure I'll be walking to every Ford Focus--white--with a Mickey antennae ball. :teeth: Maybe I should do the standard yellow tennis ball?? Wouldn't that be attractive?? No, I think I'll stick with the Mickey--he's much more fun.

Thanks for the semi-breakfast. It'll tide me over until real food. Maybe I'll see if I can whip something up if someone already hasn't.

Have a good day. :sunny:

Here ya go---Apple pancakes and sausage.

Didn't I set the table simply divine??

p.s. notice the banana is now doing his job--which is a darn good thing for him or else he would have become part of breakfast. Bread anyone??

Good Morning!

Lyzziesmom- Lyzzie is so funny! I can't wait to see pics of the house! 10 days!!!! :cool1:

Amber- :grouphug: I'm sorry you had a bad dream. Hopefully tonight you will sleep much better.

I loved "The Devil Wears Prada"!!! The clothes were so beautiful! I told my aunt that I felt sooo unfashionable after seeing the movie!

Yes I have used ME before. It really does put you in a Disney mood!

36 more days!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Ok I'm going to try to catch up a bit now.

Has anyone ever done any of those learn a foreign language programs at home? I'd like to hear the good and the bad. I really want to learn french. I know basics I'd like to eventually become fluent.

My mom tried one of the CDRom programs before she went to France about 10 years ago. In case I haven't mentioned it, my mom is a little wack-o. Anyway, she gave up after 3 days and she still hadn't figured out why there is more than one way to say "the". Of course, she just bought the program one week before her trip.

On a side note real quick, 2 funny stories about Mom in France: her first comment upon getting home was, "it's really hard to find a good pizza in France!" Also, she met a man at a cafe who was with his dog, a dachschund. We also had a doxie at the time, so Mom tried to strike up a conversation with him. Problem: he was German. Mom couldn't figure out why he kept telling her his dog was a car. Turns out the dog's name was Otto! :lmao: I'm telling ya, you can't make this stuff up.

Donna, is that balloon fest you mentioned hot air balloons? We used to live in TX and there was a park at the end of our street that hosted a yearly HUGE hot air balloon race, it was a big whoopdedoo and it was so fun to watch them all take off. I also took horseback riding lessons across the street and would often ride the horses under the balloons - talk about a challenge! The noise from the balloons would startle the horses... not easy for 11-year old me to handle, but it was really neat.
what movie was it, btw??

It was The Ninth Gate. I wasn't really paying attention to the story as I had other things I was working on, but it was nice just the same to have his voice coming from my living room & be able to look at that oh-so-pretty face now & then. Even if it was in TWO dimensions. (see, technically one dimension would just be a dot.)

And it's facetious, miss butcher.

Wow, my inner nerd is really making an appearance this morning!

YM - adorable dog! She looks like a sweetie, and it looks like your son has already claimed her. You can't give her back now!!

Amber - I'm not sure what exactly that breakfast is, but the napkin bandanna is adorable!

Look at my ticker!! :dance3:

YM- That dog is cute! I'm sure that she is a good dog, She is probably just scared.

2X2S- Apple pancakes! Yum! Actually I have never had them before. I'll have to try some.

Amber, I forgot to tell you... I think after your dream-killer was done with you, he came after me. In my dream, someone was going to blow up my apartment and I had 5 minutes and one bag to collect all my most precious things, and I was running around like a headless chicken because I couldn't decide what was most precious. (The kids were apparently not home, so they didn't count.) I think I ended up with my photos, my shoes and my makeup. How silly am I?

Well good morning, Miss Friendly. :teeth: Aren't we the little smarty pantsola today?? :teeth: :teeth: J/K---you know I wouldn't have it any other way. :3dglasses

I'm going to show my JD nerdiness now and tell you that when he was filming Ninth Gate is when he met Vanessa in France. Just in case you needed to know that for a trivia game or if you ever go on Jeopardy, miss brainy pantsola. (you see a pattern here??--word for the day--even if it is made up--by me--the Pin-cess of made up words)

p.s. JD is NOT the reason why I love French things---I have always wanted to go to France. Didn't want you to think I was THAT much of a stalker. He does sweeten the deal, though. :teeth: pirate: :artist:

another p.s.--did Lyzzie get my message a couple of posts ago?? princess:

Nope, Lyzzie didn't get the message because I just read it a little while ago and I am at work and she is at school, which she LOVES by the way. I am raising a couple of little nerdlets. But her momma got the message loud & clear!

Hi Nicole---

Yes, I also felt a bit underdressed at the Prada movie in my Target attire.

Enjoy the pancakes--let me know how they are because I don't believe I have actually had them either. Well, maybe--can't remember. :confused3

Yay---36 more days!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :Pinkbounc

Lyzziesmom again---did you tell your mom that
France's neighbor people make really good pizza??--I think their name is Italia.

Otto-- :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yes, the table setting was lovely as was the breakfast. I'm a little full because I ate Amber's treat too. Amber, do you know what that was?

2xcited...I posted that pm...just trying to catch you before you signed off and then couldn't get back on the boards...I tried several times and then decided to go read. :teeth:

Hi Nicole and lyzziesmom :wave2: The dog did well last night. She barked a couple of times. We left her out because we are not sure about her bathroom habits although so far she seems great. She is really good in the house. Yesterday, she did sniff through all the trash cans (we haven't had a dog in 4 years). My DS was a little stressed this am about the question of keeping her. First he said he wanted her or least another dog(meaning if we couldn't keep this one we had to get another one)...then a little later he was like ...I think we need to keep HER. Any name ideas? We are thinking about Sophie.

Well, I typed so much that my breakfast wore off and now I need a bagel.
