Well, it has been very rainy and stormy here this morning. Lots of rain, thunder, and lightning.

It is beginning to subside a little bit.

I'm not sure what time DznyFan's flight departs this morning, but I hope that she and her family doesn't encounter any problems getting out.

Did anyone ever catch a flight number, time, or airline she was flying? I'll check TUL's website to see if they are experiencing any flight delays.

Answering my own question here.......

I recall DznyFan saying she was flying through Kansas City. I remember her telling lyzziesmom she would wave.

So........with that being the case.....

There is a Southwest flight departing Tulsa at 8:50 this morning to KC. So far, it says On Time. Hopefully, it will stay that way. Southwest has already cancelled one flight this morning that was going to Dallas.

What are everyone's plans this weekend? We plan on doing yard work (if it doesn't rain) and relaxing. I may try to go and take some pictures if it isn't 100º (it has been HOT here lately).

We don’t have anything major planned.

I got a call from the baseball league office last night. We have a rainout game rescheduled for Saturday morning at 11:30 am. But, with all the rain we received early this morning – with more potentially on the way – that game may be cancelled as well.

DW leaves for New Orleans Sunday afternoon at 2:45 pm.

We will probably go out to eat somewhere Saturday evening. Haven’t decided where, but we’ll go somewhere.

Oh, and DW wants to go to Coldwater Creek and look for some new clothes Saturday as well.

It looks like the forecast for tomorrow has changed from scattered t-storms to partly cloudy, so the Shawnee Days parade and carnival/art faire is back on! Tomorrow is of course Emma's Big Day, so we will be making a big deal out of that with just our family. We were at Target yesterday looking at little cakes, and she chose mini cupcakes instead. We had bought some Dora cake decorations and candles that will fit perfectly on the cupcakes -- all in all I think she made an excellent choice. Lyzzie has already counted the cupcakes and figured out how many each of us will get - 2 for each, with 2 leftover if my brother and his GF don't show up.

I slept like a baby last night, but apparently we had thunderstorms that woke the kids up. Lyzzie told me she had to "protect" Emma from the thunder by sleeping in her bed with her for a while in the middle of the night. That is so sweet, especially since Emma sleeps in a little toddler bed. I can't believe neither of them came & woke me up!! I told her she's got to be the best sister ever, and someday she will make a great mother. (But I don't really want to think about that yet! )

I'm so glad everyone liked my pictures! Those are some of my favorites -- it's so hard to choose but I just LOVE having people to share them with who actually appreciate looking at vacation photos -- what a concept!!

That's what I did yesterday over lunch. I stopped by the Disney Store and couldn't even find anything I wanted. I was contemplating getting some tshirts for our family trip, a different character for each of us in the same style of shirt, but the saleslady became very extremely pushy so I left. I did get my greasy mall pizza though, which was what I really wanted!

Morning everyone!

Whew, this week has been a whirlwind. My dad had surgery yesterday to remove his parathyroid so we were at the hospital from 7:00 until 3:00 then home. I didn't get to eat anything until we got home. I was famished!!!!!

Going for my haircut today before work, then I work today through Monday and get on a plane early Tuesday morning for the wedding in Vegas, get home late Thursday night, work Friday morning until 1:00PM and then get on a flight at 3:50 to fly to Tampa and then drive to Orlando. Whew!!!!

Chris and I saw Pirates on Sunday and it was very good. I did have to explain half the movie to Chris later than night and then explain it to two of my girls at work.

Oh, did you guys hear about the new Harry Potter land at Islands of Adventure? It was on the news yesterday. (I haven't gone back and read yet so if this is old news ignore it). It is supposed to open either Fall 2009 or Spring 2010.

My best friend Stephanie, and its shaping up to be very interesting. They got in a fight with their caterer and pulled out of their reception at Excalibur, so now they have rented a suite at MGM Grande with a terrace patio, the suite is the size of my house, she is baking her own wedding cake and then flying with the layers unassembled on Southwest and doing the icing and decorating once she gets to Vegas. They are having Buffalo Wild Wings party trays for food and a full bar. I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope for the best!
