Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

Thanks pozey! I just checked the weather and it looks like it'll be stormy all weekend, so we'll probably wait and do it some other time. I wanted to see if it would even be possible and it looks like it will, but not in thunderstorms!! Oh well, I'm sure we will find something else fun to do.

Oh sure blame it on me........Wait it probably was my fault......I talked on HisMajesty's phone......he came home........and passed it right on to you......wait.......does that make it HisMajesty's fault?!?!

And speaking of no crying.........Chase was playing 1st base last night at our game. Ground ball to the 3rd baseman......he catches it and throws it to Chase.......but it is a little off line, and Chase has to go up the baseline to get it.........COLLISION!!! And the other kid outweighed Chase by at least 50 pounds!! He just CRUSHES Chase. But Chase held on to the ball and got the runner out. Chase was laying on the ground and everyone runs over to check on him. He kinda sorta wanted to cry. But he toughed it out and jumped right up and said he was okay. :thumbsup2 (another thumb)

Nice you pointed that out about HisMajesty....I guess he's not reading today....after all 'a lot' of things are his fault.:rotfl:

Sounds like Chase took a shot. I have to give him a little cheer for hanging onto the ball (and also for not being hurt badly).:cheer2: I will swap a story from our game last night. My DS was playing first base and someone hit a line drive. He didn't catch but stopped it enough to pick it up and get the batter out. Then he proceeded to walk around for about 90 seconds shaking his hand in pain...seems that he used his bare hand instead of his glove hand to stop the ball.

I think I'd prefer the Golden Corral to the tool corral. I'm kinda lost when it comes to tools.

I got the brilliant idea to take the kids to Omaha for the weekend since it's only a 3 hour drive and the zoo is supposed to be one of the best in the country. I've spent the last 2 hours checking out websites looking for a cheap hotel, and every time I think I find one, it either turns out to be sold out or I find a bad review of it, or something. I don't know how to plan a trip to somewhere I've never been! In the past, I've either just gone with NO planning and walked into hotels (NOT the most economical way to do things!) or gone someplace I've been before. Orlando trips I can book in a heartbeat - Omaha... not so easy! I need to just pick one and stick with it I guess. Any of you guys been to Omaha?? Any ideas? I'm thinking I'll probably just scrap the whole idea, I'm stressing myself out too much over it and I really should save the money anyway, especially with gas prices the way they are right now. Ouch!

Lyzziesmom...just a quick little tip if you decide to go. We like to use one of the chains like Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn Express for little trips like that. They usually have a pool, serve a decent breakfast, and have cookies in the evening. We will be hanging out around the house this weekend...but a road trip always sounds like fun!:dance3:

Give your DS a big old "Attaboy" from Coach Pozey. Gotta do whatever you gotta do to stop the ball!!

One of the mothers of one of my baseball players has a daughter that is a year or so older than Chase. She keeps telling me that Madison (her daughter) has a HUGE crush on Chase. And the mother told me one time that she thought Chase was just a gorgeous boy. Chase has eyelashes that are about a foot long.

My oh my - looks like we've all got a case of not wanting to take responsiblity for YM's crud. :rotfl: Yeah..... HisMajesty's fault.........

Pozey, I loved the pics - you have such a beautiful family!
And how cute - another crush!! Why is it little boys have the loooongest lashes?? Lucky.

Kudos to Chase for toughing it out - and YM, to your DS as well!! ouch.

Lyzziesmom - a weekend trip sounds like fun! Too bad you have to postpone it!

DD reminded me that tomorrow is SINGLE DIGIT DAY! (I don't think these girls are keeping track.....)

Good evening, Cliquers!! Tonight we went to see Shrek The Third. I went not expecting it to be very good (at least not as good as 1 & 2), but was surprised!!! Gary usually doesn't got to the movies with Nathan and I, but decided he'd go with us tonight.

Well, I had a message on the answering machine this evening when I got home; it was from Allegiant Airlines. We were supposed to be flying with them out of the airport that is only about 40 miles from our house.....much more convenient than driving into St. Louis. Our flight was originally from Fri. to Fri. and they called to inform us it had been changed to Thurs. to Thurs!!! I have had my reservations for Universal and WDW for about 2 months, now Allegiant calls to tell me they've changed the flight??!! WTH!!! I do have the option of a full refund; which I am definitely taking advantage of!!! I've already booked SW for my original Friday dates. Just thought I'd share my little drama for the day.:rolleyes1 popcorn::

DznyFan:: That's great news that Erin has TDS job!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: Congrats to her!!! I'm sure she'll make a wonderful CM!!!

lyzziesmom:: We were thinking of taking Nathan to see a cave over the weekend; either Meramac Caverns or Onondaga. I may have to check the weather before I actually book a room.

pozey:: You do have a beautiful family!! I love the newest pic!!

YourMajesty:: Sounds like your DS made a great play....but not the glove hand??? OUCH!!!

Lesa:: Hi, young lady!! Have you started your packing?? Is your yard still weed-free??:teeth:

Michele:: I suppose your last days of school are getting nearer?? Is Miss Lilly getting excited about her trip to WDW???princess:

2x2s:: I hope you got some rest today. Was this a work day?? I think you need to treat yourself to a good lunch soon.....maybe Italian!!!

Well, it's starting to get late for me...I need all the beauty sleep I can get!!:cloud9: Nathan has to go to school tomorrow just to pick up his report card. I'm just going to take him at 8am, say goodbye to the teacher and the kids and get the heck out of there!!!:teacher: :dance3:

See you at breakfast!!:wave2:

Okay: I thought I would empty my wine cellar. I need to make room for more!!! Take what you like…:thumbsup2

Thanks for the wine and strawberries UnderDog!

Hope you saved some for the party!:rotfl:

UnderDog: Thanks for the wine snack, I had it for breakfast. *hiccup!* I was going to ask if I share a birthday with anyone (10/8) but then I remembered... I share it with Ashley and Ruby! :thumbsup2 (thumb)

You should try a Guinness for breakfast. You know it can be a fine drink or a meal!!! Yummy. Oh I’ll get back to you on October 8th!!!:drinking1

Well, this past weekend, we met up with some old friends we had not seen in quite some time. So, of course I broke out the camera. And since I hadn't posted any pictures in awhile.......

Here is my beautiful family:
OMG how awesome, :goodvibes I’m so glad for you. You have a wonderful family, Thanks for sharing them with us. They are really great!

Pozey, I loved the pics - you have such a beautiful family!
Thank you. One thing I am positive about........they certainly did not get their good looks from their father!!

Great news from TDS - she's in! (no interview other than the very informal meet/chat with the 2 managers)
Great news! :cool1:

DD reminded me that tomorrow is SINGLE DIGIT DAY! (I don't think these girls are keeping track.....)
MORE GREAT NEWS!!! :woohoo: :yay: I'm sure you guys are going to have a fantastic time!

Okay: I thought I would empty my wine cellar. I need to make room for more!!! Take what you like…:thumbsup2

Thanks!! I think I'll take a bottle of that......one of theses........Oh, and one of those. :rolleyes1 :drinking1

OOOH! Cheese! Thanks, Underdog. I skipped on the wine tonight - but you have an awfully nice wine cellar!

Dang, Donna! You pulled out the nice china! I feel so honored!
I can't believe your airline changed your flight dates like that! Don't they realize that people book specific days because they need to travel on THAT DAY?? How did you do with booking Southwest at such a late date? Usually when I go to book all the good pricing tiers are sold out the same day the flight goes on sale, and we don't get a great rate from here, anyway.

morning, everybody!

Good Morning!

DznyFan, SINGLE DIGITS!!! Congrats to Erin for getting the job!

Lyzziesmom, I finally got to see your pictures. They are great! I have the same Minnie visor as Lyzzie.

Donna, I'm glad you were able to get new flights. That's one thing that worried me about flying; I don't want them changing my flights. At least they called you; I have read stories of people not knowing and showing up to the airport then finding out. :guilty:

Tomorrow is POTC3!!!! :cool1: I am worried about the crowds. :scared: I plan on getting there EARLY.

Have a great day everyone!

Donna,

Great breakfast thanks. Wednesday I always have breakfast with my little sister and my Dad, I hope you don't mind me bringing them with.... :goodvibes

:)

Good Morning!

Thanks for the breakfast Donna! That is good that you were able to get a refund and get your new flights.

Thanks for the wine Underdog!

Dznyfan- Woohoo!!! Single digits! That's great that Erin got the job!!!!:cool1:

Amber- Today on the radio they had a blind movie critic and he gave POTC 3 a B. I'm sure it deserved an A. I want to hear all about it on Friday!

Wow Donna. That would upset me severely!! I'm glad you were able to get a full refund and get a flight on SW.

Proud parent, photo geek, or just goofy dad?? Which one am I?

Here’s the deal……….I love photography. I love taking pictures. I love taking video.

Last night, Colton’s Select Choir had a performance at his school. Due to his music teacher’s family medical issues, this was the Choir’s only performance of the year.

Anyway, we get there and I bring in my video camera and decide to videotape it. So, we are there a little early, and I am standing off to the side a little so that I can film it without getting in anyone else’s way. Then, I got to thinking……….I would also like to take pictures with my digital camera. But I don’t want to look like a doofus and have cameras hanging all over me. Then another thought came to me……I keep a small tripod under the seat in my truck.

So, I go get the tripod, put the camcorder on it, and bring in my digital camera. So, there I am off to the side, camcorder sitting on the tripod filming the performance, and me taking pictures all throughout.

So………you are one of the other parents sitting in the audience………you see me over there………what do you think??? Stupid dad?? Proud parent? Man, this guy needs a hobby? Techie freak? Which one am I?

Now, I will say this………there were at least 4 or 5 other parents who had camcorders going, and just as many or more with cameras. But I was the only one with both, plus a tripod.

DznyFan: Excellent news about TDS! She's going to have so much fun. I've actually (briefly) considered it as a second job just for a couple shifts a week for some "mad money" but I really don't have the time. If I were to have a 2nd job though, that would be the one!

Donna: That's crazy about the airline schedule change!! I hate when they do that, at least with SW you pretty much know they won't make any major changes. I'm so glad you had the option of getting a refund and were able to rebook on SW.

Caves sound like a fun weekend activity! Maybe I'll have to look into the ones around here - there are a ton of them in MO and I think there's one with a little train that runs inside of it, I just don't know the name or exactly where it is.

Amber: How funny that you and Lyzzie have the same Minnie visor! Lyzzie found hers at a garage sale for fifty cents and has been wearing it pretty much nonstop since then. She just loves it! Have fun at POTC3! I really want to see that, and Shrek too. Maybe we'll just make this weekend a movie weekend instead of doing anything big.

Nicole: A blind movie critic? How weird. That's like having a deaf music critic - it doesn't make a lot of sense. Yes I know you can get a lot out of just listening to the movie (I do it all the time from the other room when the kids are watching something) but you still miss so much. I don't think I'd trust that guy's opinion 100%.

pozey: I think you would just look like a proud parent. Besides, who cares what anyone else thinks?? There are many parents - sadly, especially dads - who don't even bother to show up for that kind of thing, so you are lightyears ahead of those guys. I think it's great that you are so involved in your kids' lives - keep it up!

So who watched the American Idol faceoff last night? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the whole purpose of having a songwriting contest for the finals was so they would have a contemporary, non-crappy song. That completely did NOT work... the song they chose is just as awful as the last ones have been! I'm thinking Jordin is totally going to win this thing - she nailed even the horrible song. I even did something I haven't done before and voted!

Well I've been working on this post for an hour now, I think I'm done. Have a great Wednesday everyone!!

Proud parent, photo geek

been there, done that. I will go 45 minutes before the auditorium doors open and stand in the foyer just so I can get a good vantage point for photography or video.
