So who watched the American Idol faceoff last night? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the whole purpose of having a songwriting contest for the finals was so they would have a contemporary, non-crappy song. That completely did NOT work... the song they chose is just as awful as the last ones have been! I'm thinking Jordin is totally going to win this thing - she nailed even the horrible song. I even did something I haven't done before and voted!

I agree. The song sucked. It was written more for Jordin; Blake tried, but it just wasn't the song for him.

Jordin will probably win, but I don't like her. I much prefer Blake.

lyzziesmom...Fantasic Caverns are in Springfield Mo and they are "America's dirve-through caverns". My DH took the boys while I was on our cliquless trip. They enjoyed themselves too. I would really love to take the boys to the ones Donna mentioned....Meramec caverns! They are in Stanton Mo right off of I-44.

A movie sounds good for the weekend. I think the boys want to set up the tent in the backyard...can anyone say DAD!

I vote first two. That would completely be me too, since I just love taking pictures and wouldn't want to miss anything.

Pozey- I vote for the first two also.

pozey: I think you would just look like a proud parent. Besides, who cares what anyone else thinks?? There are many parents - sadly, especially dads - who don't even bother to show up for that kind of thing, so you are lightyears ahead of those guys. I think it's great that you are so involved in your kids' lives - keep it up!

been there, done that. I will go 45 minutes before the auditorium doors open and stand in the foyer just so I can get a good vantage point for photography or video.

Last night prior to the Choir concert at school, the family and I decided to go to KFC to grab a bite to eat beforehand. The concert was to begin at 7:00, and Colton was supposed to be at the school at 6:45. So, we get to KFC at about 5:50. It takes 10 minutes for me to get up to the register to order. I order and on the receipt, it prints out 6:00 on the dot. We did not get our food until 6:22!!!!! Colton had to wolf down his food in a hurry so we could hurry and get him to the school!! I was so mad at KFC!!

that's too cute! I've been trying to read here and there but I've been SO busy!!! I had to run to Cleveland twice Monday...about 8 hours driving and then yesterday Kenny had his program at school.... shew... I bought them a couple days ago, but I still have to line up and actually get the tickets (I have a voucher). I'm worried that the lines will be out of control.

I'm the one that has to sit in the back corner or I'm not comfortable. So, I want to get there early, get tickets, find a seat and then send Mike out to get drinks.

That sucks! What is the point of fast food, if it takes 20 minutes? Wendy's here is the WORST. I waited over 30 min and the still managed to screw up the order.

I agree. It was horrible. I don't know if I'll go back to that KFC again. Popeye's is right across the street, and I like Popeye's, but I think it is kind of expensive for what you get.

I am taking Courtney up to the High School in about an hour. She is going to be April's (neighbor/babysitter/adopted daughter) "show and tell" today.

Actually, it is for April's Child Development class or something like that. So, I am taking Courtney to April's High School and then April is taking Courtney home with her.

I have already warned April..........Courtney may take over that High School before the day is over.......

probably! I really need to do some research. I know my greatgrandfather was counsins or something to Jenny Wiley. He would always go to Jenny Wiley state park in KY and tell my mom all about it. Pretty interesting stuff! wow... I'd be dying after that long in the pool too!!

Well, today is Nathan's last full day at school.

I wish we could have just closed and had a three day weekend; I could have gone to WDW for a few days or something. Oh well, I'll take my Stephanie Plum book and try to catch up on my reading.

One of the mothers of one of my baseball players has a daughter that is a year or so older than Chase. She keeps telling me that Madison (her daughter) has a HUGE crush on Chase. And the mother told me one time that she thought Chase was just a gorgeous boy. Chase has eyelashes that are about a foot long.

Chase has to go up the baseline to get it.........COLLISION!!! And the other kid outweighed Chase by at least 50 pounds!! He just CRUSHES Chase. But Chase held on to the ball and got the runner out. Chase was laying on the ground and everyone runs over to check on him. He kinda sorta wanted to cry. But he toughed it out and jumped right up and said he was okay.

awww how cute!!! Kenny has the really long lashes too. Everyone comments on his eyes Chase is so adorable, all the girls will be chasing him!

way to go for toughing it out Chase!!

Good evening, Cliquers!! Tonight we went to see Shrek The Third. I went not expecting it to be very good (at least not as good as 1 & 2), but was surprised!!! Gary usually doesn't got to the movies with Nathan and I, but decided he'd go with us tonight.
