Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

It is funny coaching 8 year olds…….you can be so proud of them one minute, and wonder what in the world they are thinking the next.

I think that sums up 8 year olds in general... not just coaching! I am constantly telling Lyzzie that she amazes me every day, sometimes with her abilities and brains, and sometimes with her lack thereof. :confused3

OMG! My friend invited me to a umm.... "naughty" toy party!

Yikes! Are you going to go? One of my coworkers invited me to one in my first month on the job... I of course had no idea what it was. It's a good thing I couldn't go, because I would have been very surprised once I got there!! :scared1:  :scared: I have never really understood the appeal of this type of party... I mean at a Tupperware party they have demonstrations, so what do they do... I don't even want to go there! That's the kind of thing you buy from the comfort and privacy of your OWN HOME, not in a group of ladies you hardly know. Weird!!

YM – I hope you are feeling better. I can attest to everyone around here being sick. I still have a little bit of a lingering cough from the crud I had a month ago.

Hey Pozey:wave2: Eek...I have that dry cough that won't stop.

Wow...you guys played a lot of baseball. It's amazing how different they play every game. We have a game tonight too...then we are off for over a week. Yeah for Chase driving in the two tying runs!:cheer2: My DS hit a triple but over ran thrid base and got tagged out. He was devasted. I told him the only thing worse than over running the base was crying about it.:rolleyes1 There's no crying in baseball.;)

Hey I started typing this a couple of hours ago...got a phone call and then ran up to the school for a track and field event.:rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Donna...thank for those delicious jelly donuts...just happens to be one of my favorites. :dance3:

Lyzziesmom- It will be even weirder since my friend is 5 mos. pregnant! I will run screaming if they have "demonstrations"! How crazy is it that I'd rather go to one of these parties than a Mary Kay party?! :rotfl:

It's a miracle I did.

Isn't that yearbook HUGE??
Yes it is. And apparently very expensive!! April's mom said it was $60 - $65!! Yowza!!

You've heard Jodi Benson - she did the voice of Ariel.
VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!

DTS was supposed to call her for an interview this week - she touched base w/ them last Sunday - still haven't heard anything.
Hope she hears back from them.

Hi everyone!!!

Nicole I have to say, I'm cracking up about the naughty toy party. Hope you have fun ;)

We're looking at going out of town this weekend, since its a holiday weekend. We're thinking of either going to Luray Caverns http://www.luraycaverns.com/ or the National Aquarium in Baltimore http://www.aqua.org/
. I think the Aquarium would be more fun. :confused3 But we want to see both, definitely before we move out of Virginia. We are thinking of staying 1-2 nights in a hotel and bringing Ruby with us so it would have to be a pet friendly hotel.

Anyway, it sounds exciting to me

And look what the auditor that was at Jeremiah's job Friday sent to his boss:

dr jerky boss (name changed to protect the innoc....jerk :teeth: )

your new controller quit, your own personal accountant had to leave the country the day before your Q is do, and co-worker #2 left in the middle of the day friday without telling any of us.
it sounds like you should get jeremiah more involved in this.
he was instrumental in working out the intercompany fiasco.
he could be better utilized at times like these.

jeremiah should be commended.

Thanks, Matt

Although his capitalization is bothering me, ;) it was still nice of him to send :cloud9:

Last night we watched Pirates 2 for the second time. We rented it from Netflix. I'm excited about seeing the third one, but I don't like going to the movies when its packed. I like my personal space, yanno :rolleyes1

Ashley- That's great Jeremiah is finally going to get the credit and appreciation that he finally deserves. :thumbsup2 (thumb) I like both of those places, the caverns look interesting, but I prefer the aquarium. Have fun!

My friend called me and said she wasn't sure if I would want to go to the party because I'm shy, and I told her that I'd go and she said I had a crazy side! It's always the shy ones isn't it? :teeth: :rotfl:

Nicole, it was nice of the auditor to send that to Jeremiah's boss, but whats surprising to me (well, not really since his boss is a jerk) is he hasn't commented on it at all. Jeremiah knew about the email because the auditor CC'd it to him. :confused3 It just made him feel good that SOMEONE appreciated what he does. Honestly I was very annoyed Friday because Jeremiah stayed at work because of his coworkers leaving and didn't get home until about 8pm:mad:

Ashley: sounds to me like the boss has got to go. I'm not surprised he didn't comment on it... he probably feels embarrassed, and he knows Jeremiah was copied on it so probably thinks there's no need for him to say anything too. In true jerk style, he's letting someone else take care of it. I hope things get better for Jeremiah at work - that would drive me nuts! I've quit jobs because of idiot bosses - now I see that it wasn't the best decision, but at the time it seemed like it because I just couldn't take it anymore. How do people like that end up in charge anyway??

I was thinking of going somewhere this weekend too, but I can't think of where to go. It would have to be someplace I could take both girls since Emma will be back home by then, and fairly inexpensive. We will probably just end up staying home. There's not really too many places within driving distance that are interesting enough for me to pay for a hotel room - I just keep thinking "that's x amount of days I could be at Disney!"

This afternoon was quite interesting. I took a trip to Home Depot. My attire consisted of a skirt, t-shirt and flip flops. Don't know why I feel the need to mention that, just wanted to set the scene.:lmao: I had my list in hand and started making my way up and down the aisles. I want to hang some small pictures, so I asked someone where I might find a small hammer. He looked at me with his best "lady, giiiit ouuuta heeere" face and said-----they are over in the TOOL CORRAL. I wanted to say, "um, yeah, can't tell ya the last time I hung out in a tool corral.":confused3 :confused3 Instead, I politely responded, "and where might I find the tool corral??" Now, if I were at Target instead and someone told me I could find something in housewares, I'd be in my element. I know this is so stereotypical, but I am just not one of those "do-it-yourself, handy" girls, but I admire greatly those who are.

p.s.---spelling nazi----please check me on "corral". thanks. a. bunch.

Also, a new bakery just opened in the neighborhood--------here's the sign-------"French and Veitnemese Bakery"??????????????????? Anyone else raising an eyebrow on this one??
There is a banner out front stating "We have French Baggetts".:scared1: :scared1: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I want so badly to tell them that they have a spelling error on their bread.

I don't think I will be taking my visitors there.:rolleyes1

Yes, I am!! Big raised eyebrow..........It's spelled Vietnamese. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

have loads of fun!!!!! Yep, always the quiet ones.:rotfl2:

Thanks for the recipe for the Mojito. I'll have to try it. They sound very similar to a recipe Giada made on the Foodnetwork. She made homemade limoncello but with limes (and of course vodka). She then made a simple syrup to mix with it. She crushed mint leaves at the bottom of a glass with ice, added the sweetened limoncello and topped it with Pelligrino (Italian sparkling water).
Very similar, but with rum.

Amber----wow, so this isn't the first time this guy pulled a trick with the car. Like Lyzziesmom said, I wonder how many times he got away with it without incident. Okay, I don't feel sorry for the guy anymore.

Ashley----your little weekend getaway sounds fun. And Ruby gets to join you!!!:cool1:
Good that Jeremiah is finally getting recognized----even if it is by someone other than his jerky boss. Maybe this will open his eyes. Okay, just read that he hasn't commented. What a jerk!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

oops. I thought something looked a little off.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

(I guess I could say "Pozey, I ment too due that"):teeth:

What made it that much more funny, is that you were asking for help from the spelling nazi on the word "corral" earlier......:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Oh, my God you guys are cracking me up with your spelling banter!!

2X - I'm with you - I'll skip on the Veitnemese baggetts! (spelling errors intended) So, I gather you found the tool corral? And why are the tools in a corral, anyway?

Ashley - that is good that someone at Jeremiah's work is really going to bat for him, but if the boss is as bad as it sounds, he probably won't "get it". Best of luck! (Oh - and I'd go for the aquarium.)

OK, Nicole - just because you'll get a laugh (I hope) but when I first read your post about the party, I thought you wrote "Yummm", not "ummm"......

Pozey - yep - $65.00 for that yearbook - and that was ordering it early!

Pozey - yep - $65.00 for that yearbook - and that was ordering it early!
Well, I may as well start saving now just to buy Colton and Chase a yearbook when they get to High School!! :scared1:

You know it's funny.........the 1st page I turned to when I opened it up......the very first page of that enormous yearbook..........I see someone I know..... The very first page I turned to was a page that had cheerleaders on it. And one of the girls on the cheerleading squad works as a counciler at the Boys & Girls Club where Colton and Chase go every day. :rotfl2:
