DUH!!! I know what you mean now, Queenie!!!

The cake sounds good. I wish you had an extra piece for me, too!!
I was just on the Restaurant board.....I must be hungry!!!:rolleyes1

Donna...I just whipped us up an extra cake. It's similar to the one I had at the shower today...it's layered with lemon and raspberry.

Yumm!!! You bake as fast as I do!!! It was delicious!!! Thank you!!!

ok, I've gotta find this yearbook thread everybody is talking about.

Today we took Kenny to see the new TMNT (turtles) movie. It was cute. Then we went out to eat. I had great steak fajitas! Now Mike is watching the end of the Ohio State basketball game...

Yay...Lesa got to see Lilly! Glad you made it safely to Michigan and that the contractors are fixing their "boo boo":cool1:

you and Michele have fun at the shower. Lilly doesn't care for the baths huh? Kenny didn't either

Donna, thanks for a great breakfast. Yay, you saw the rest of the poc movie! I love that movie!! I'm always checking rates for a trip too.

Kenny came over and is kissing my cheek...he's sucking up b/c he wants to play computer games. He's saying "Kenny what? Kenny what?" He saw his name and had to see what I was telling you guys:rotfl:

YM...Mike doesn't know who will get Tubbys place... He said there was a list of like six names. Now to see if the freshmans coming follow him or stay at UK. Wow, that cake looks scrumptious!!!

Kenny wants a dilly bar...so I guess it's time for an ice cream bar break:yay:

Lin...don't give up on your dream. As you said...they were thinking about how it would effect THEM...not the two of you.

Hi!!! Linda!!!! Sounds like you had a fun day!!! Gary is trying to get Nathan and I to decide where to eat. ( I don't cook much on the weekend.) I suggested Mexican; he's not in a Mexican mood. We have to run a couple of errands before the stores close, too!!

well have a good time :) for some reason steak fajitas sounded good. I'm usually not much on mexican food. I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy or hot food:guilty: ... Usually its Outback, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Logans... the normal big chains...but we like to go early to beat the crowds;) I'm sure Gary and Nathan watched the Bush race? I saw Kyle Bush crash and that was about it. That is when I get on the computer or play w/Kenny:goodvibes

Kenny is taking a bath...I hear the sliding from one end to the other:rotfl: swoosh...swoosh... I remember doing that when I was little:rotfl2:

Enjoy your dinner out. :cloud9:

hiya all!!!

I don't even remember the last time I posted----such a bad cliquer, I am. It was a tiring week and now I am trying to organize the house a bit. I have books in one pile, CDs in another, DVDs in yet another----you get the picture. I just have no storage space in this house. Me, myself and I need a bigger house.:lmao:

How is everyone???? I hope well!!!

Wow, YM baked a cake----and a lovely one at that!!!! BEAUTIFUL and looks yummy!!!
Did you happen to see Oprah the other day?? It's a repeat but it is when she and her friend Gayle were on a roadtrip across the US-----they stopped in OK and were googly eyed at some cowboys on horseback practicing their roping skills.:lmao: :lmao:

Donna----thanks for the delicious breakfast this morning-----I feel bad that I haven't been able to partake this last week----I'm sure you worked your little fanny off!!
Yay for watching POTC2-------#3 is right around the corner!!!!:3dglasses The people sitting next to you best watch out!!:lmao:
Are we still up for some shopping Saturday???? My sister was supposed to come into town, but now I think my BIL is going to instead. They are having the house packed up to get their belongings to them in Florida. I don't think my sister would have been able to emotionally handle seeing everything being packed up. She told me today that she is still in denial and thinks something will change so they can come back to St. Louis------don't think that's gonna happen.

Michele and Lesa-----hope you had a wonderful time at Briana's shower. Has Lesa let anyone else hold Lilly yet??

Lin----  don't give up just yet.

Linda----that's funny that Kenny keeps seeing his name and wants to know what it's about. HI KENNY!!!!
Yum---dilly bars!!! I can't remember the last time I had one of those.

Hi to all of the Crew!!!! I haven't really been able to keep up (just kind of read today's) but know that I have been thinking about all of you and hope all is well.

what's the yearbook, btw??

Yolanda----how's the move going??

Hi guys, we had a busy day today so I'm just checking in real quick.

Hi 2x, try to come by a little more often, willya? I'm sure your sister will adjust soon, it's hard making any major life change. Maybe it's better for her not to come just now, like you said it's emotional to see all your stuff in one truck.

Lesa: yay you got to see Lilly! Great news about the contractor -- let's just hope he doesn't ruin your siding & roof and then just leave it a mess. Something tells me he won't mess with you, though.

Michele: Lyzzie took a while to warm up to the idea of bathing. I have a video of her first bath at home -- she was crying, I was crying, and I yelled at my dad to just shut the darn camera off! Ahh, the wonderful memories for posterity.

Linda: Kenny swooshing in the tub, how fun! I can always tell when Lyzzie's still in there because she talks to herself, it's just constant chatter. She does that in bed too, it's a wonder she doesn't wake Emma.

We spent the day garage-saling and we made out like bandits! Lyzzie got something like 37 books and an American Girl doll, a few items of clothing, 4 CDs, a computer game and a Minnie Mouse visor from WDW. I got a couple books, some placemats & linen napkins, a purse, a china teacup & saucer, and a Brita water pitcher with 10 filters. Emma got a bunch of books and some movies, including a Wiggles movie. Oh and I forgot, Lyzzie got a scooter too. ALL that stuff cost me about $42.00. Woohoooo!!

After we were done garage saling, it was still early afternoon and such a nice day that we decided to go to the zoo. I always forget what terrible customer service they have there! The line to get in was about 15 people deep, long but not horribly bad, but it took over 30 minutes!! And it took us 20 minutes to get lunch with only 2 people in front of us in line, the lady actually said to me, "I must be blind cuz I can't find any forks, too bad." So I just stood there & stared at her until she got someone else to go find the forks. (This was after several other "duh" incidents on her part too, such as this gem: "You wanna make that a combo?" "What does the combo come with?" "Fries." "For $3.00 extra? Just fries? Are the fries that good?" "It comes with fries.") But all in all, we had a nice day and I am pooped!

Tomorrow my parents are taking Emma with them to bring my brother to MN for more MRIs at the Mayo Clinic. He is having surgery there in May (I think) and they won't accept MRIs from anywhere else. They are taking Emma with rather than try to find a babysitter for 3 days. The girl wears me out, but I'm going to miss her terribly!! I think I'll take the opportunity to take Lyzzie to the movies, she wants to see "The Last Mimzy." I will have to research it and make sure it's suitable for her, but I think it looks pretty good too, and that's rare to find a movie we can both enjoy.

Well I'm exhausted from our busy day, and I'm off to catch up on a few more threads and then it's bedtime for me. Hope everyone's having a wonderful weekend!

2x: this is the DIS Yearbook. The beginning is not so hot, because most of the pictures don't work, but you should be able to jump in near the end and get the idea. It's a really cute thread!!

Good evening!!!

2x2s:: It's great to hear from you!! Yep, I finally made it through POTC2....I'm ready for Part 3!!! Do you think Jack and Elizabeth will end up together?? hmmmm....
I'm ready for the shopping trip!!! I've already warned Gary about what we were planning!!;) We'll have to get together about times and where to meet!!!

lyzziesmom:: Your day sounds pretty productive!!! My sister always used to do good at garage sales, I was never so lucky!!
Thanks for posting the Dis Yearbook link. I've been meaning to do that, but kept forgetting.

We ended up eating at Subway because nobody could really make up their mind where to eat. It had to be a cheap night, we ate at Lone Star last night.:rolleyes1

Donna: I forgot to tell you that I love your new Easter Mickey & Minnie, very cute! It sounds like you and 2x are planning a Mini-Meet Shopping Extravaganza. How fun! I wish I was closer to some of you (all of you really!) but I don't think anybody is within a few hours of me.

Thanks for the compliment on my siggie!!!
Yes, 2x2s and I are going to try to find a French antique shop in a town on my side of the river. It should be quite an adventure!!!!pirate:

Hi everyone :)

I had a nice day. Jeremiah & I went to the mall and Target and just looked around. Sounds like every other weekend :rotfl:

I did buy my airline tickets for May. I was disappointed that they went back up (the day I was going to buy them of course, Friday) but I figure if they go back down, I can get a credit & apply that towards my September trip. No biggie.

Those cakes you guys are posting look SO good..You guys know I don't need an excuse to buy a birthday cake any day of the year;) I want some now!!

Hope everyone has a nice night :cloud9:

Hi, Ashley!! I was looking at airfare today too. I guess the sale ended on the 22nd. I have a $90 credit with SW I have to use before sometime in November.:hourglass

Hey Donna and Ashley...looks like the airfare sale is over. I just checked and the cheapest from Tulsa is $317.:sad2:

Linda...did Kenny splash any water out. I've come into a flooded bathroom a time or two.:scared: I must admit I did the same thing myself.:rolleyes1 (as a child that is;) )

lyzziesmom...sounds like a good haul from the garage sales!:dance3:

The airfare is definitely outrageous right now!!! I think the cheapest from STL right now is $348!!!:scared1:

Well, Crew, I'm calling it a night. I'm going shopping with my mom, sister and niece tomorrow; I'll need plenty of sleep!!

See you all in the morning!! :sunny:

ETA:: I just saw Amber's pic was added to the Dis Yearbook. It's so cute!!
