Without having to go back and read the post that I've missed.....What are we looking at? pirate:

I've been checking around on 4 nights wdw, 3 night cruise. Oct. probably wdw 12-16th and cruise 16th -19th... I've been getting cruise only prices so far.

I'll have to check with Dh on what he thinks. Brittany's birthday is October 15th and Matt's I believe the 12th.

I was looking at that site you posted, and there are a few excursions I'd like to do, such as the Ardastra gardens and city tour, and the Sunshine glass bottom boat tour. There are just so many things I want to do and not enough time!:rotfl: What are the dates for the 3rd week in Oct so I can make a note of it.

You do not want to do the Glassbottom boat tour. It was HORRIBLE!!!!!!! We did that and the island tour when we went and both were a big old bust. Driving around in a nasty conversion van listening to a guy talk about how much they need american tourist and want american money...and then the glassbottom boat tour is not actually. Its a regular boat and for about 15 minutes at the end they heard everyone into the bottom of the boat and you all crowd around a dirty window in the bottom of the boat and look down. We didn't see anything cool and it was crowded and stinky in the bottom of the boat. Just my two cents on that! I know there are other excursions that people like a lot better!

Ok, I've got the notes ready...who's planning on going to the meet? We get a group rate w/8 staterooms or more..

1. Linda, Mike, Kenny:ssst: :teeth:

2. Lyzziesmom, Lyzzie, Emma

3.YM, dh, 2 ds's

4. Nicole, Steven

5. Ashley, Jeremiah

6. Donna, dh, Nathan

7. Michele, dh, 2 ds's, dd

8. Lesa, dh, 2dd's

9. Amber, Mike

10. Yolanda, dh, Keagan

11. 2x

If I missed you, please let me know. If I added you and you don't plan on going, let me know that too. It is easier to get a realistic quote w/#'s ;) I wasn't sure if 2x was rooming w/one of us? You have to pay for 2 adults regardless:guilty:

Add Chris and I to the list!

So, I'm so confused. Everytime Chris and I decide on a course of action about moving and my job something else changes. We had decided that moving to Orlando without jobs was totally unrealistic. His Orlando office wasn't actively looking to fill their vacante position, which was okay because it was system sales instead of technician. So, we decided over the weekend that I was going to get my teaching certificate to teach high school theatre. I applied, payed an application fee and am awaiting transcripts from college to get final approval. Then yesterday the Orlando manager called Chris to ask if he was ETC certified because they don't have an ETC tech in Florida right now. It would have him traveling around Florida a lot but if the pay was right it might be okay. Problem is I still don't have job there and I have no idea on a timeline Disney might have to hire me, plus the idea of a real job with minimal weekend work sounds so good. I am so confused!

Sorry about that Lin:hug:

Thanks for the heads up on the excursions. I'll probably stick w/the dolphin swim.
Hopefully the Orlando location will pay enough and you won't have to work ;) sounds good anyway! Can you go to school in FL? I know what you mean, you think you have a plan and boom, something changes! Good luck!

Nice job on the list, Linda! Wow I didn't realize there were so many of us until I saw it all in one place like that. I definitely will want to room with someone. If I'm not mistaken, children pay a bit less than adults, right? If I don't have another adult, then Lyzzie will have to be full adult price. 2x, maybe you would like to room with us? We don't spend much time in the room and are pretty quiet sleepers.

I'm not positive if there are a few I missed, or if I listed a few that don't plan on coming, but thought I'd start getting it together. the longer you wait, the price goes up. Plus if we can get a group block, 8 staterooms or more, the deposit is only $50 each! That is not bad at all!!!:woohoo: I wasn't sure if any of the couples would want to share at all to cut costs...a room of 4 is a LOT cheaper than two rooms of two... yes, children are cheaper...but they charge the first two people as adults, regardless of age.:sad2: Actually, you pay for 2 adults minimum, just to get a room:guilty: Knowing Mike, he wouldn't want any more than just us 3:rolleyes1 just in case;) we might have homework to do or something:rotfl: oh, wait...that would be vacation work...sorry :teeth:

Linda...for a group rate do we all need the same catagory? What do you normally book...cat 12 (lowest) or something higher?

nope... we can get what cat. we want:woohoo: I've gotten a 12 once. It wasn't bad... you're not in your room that much anyway. Cat 11 twice. It is about the same as a 12. I've done a cat 9 twice. I like that b/c you have a porthole to look out, you have a split bath. That is really nice when getting ready for dinner. If someone is in the shower, someone else can go use the restroom in the other ;) or get ready for dinner ;) I might try for a cat. 6 this time for a verandah...but I still have to talk Mike into going first:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I'd be totally happy with a cat. 12. Those are inside w/no windows, right? I get really freaked out when I look outside and all I can see is water. It's funny that I even like cruising, because I get so nervous when I'm surrounded by water and have a little bit of a water phobia. I could never go snorkeling or scuba diving, and I hate the glassbottom boats! So... inside, no window room it is for me. ;)

they're really nice and dark to sleep too ;)

I loved looking out and seeing dolphins!!! Mike...not so much:rotfl: he did say he would want one again though. It is a nice view. I WANT A VERANDAH! someday:cloud9:

I'm kind of sad about the excursions now! I hope you can figure something out.

Just gonna chime in - since I'm a Wonder veteran....

Nicole - there are SO many excursions you can do! There's shopping downtown, or at the Straw Market (I would suggest downtown over the SM), you can have a beach day at Blue Lagoon Island (same place where they have the dolphin encounter, which we've done), the ride over there is about 20 minutes and it's kind of nice; there's Atlantis which is AWESOME - you can wander around free, but some areas you don't have access to unless you purchase an excursion - and let me tell you, the cab ride over and back is an adventure itself!
If you're aquaphobe like Lyzziesmom, who probably WON'T want to go on a boat ride, or drive over the BIG bridge over to Paradise Island where Atlantis is, there's the botanical gardens; or for those of you kidless, hop over to Senor Frogs for a tropical drink (or two.. or three...)

I agree with Linda - there are just great excursions there!!

ETA: Oh! And the singlemost wonderful thing to do at Castaway Cay (IMHO) is get a cabana massage! They're pretty pricey for a massage, but it's SO awesome....

I just need to vent for a second. Sometimes I really hate people!! This nasty guy has been calling here at work all day, he has a question about a subscription on one of our magazines. So, I sent him to the subscription department, which is really just one girl and her manager. Of course she wasn't there, because the guy called at lunchtime. I asked him if he'd like to leave a message, and he refused and started harassing me asking "doesn't anybody work there?" I explained that he would really need to talk to that girl and I don't have the information he wanted. So he just hung up. He called back about an hour later - she was on the phone. So he again refused to leave a message and hung up. He just called again, and started right in with yelling about how "I've called 6 times today [a lie] and nobody is their in your [expletive] company!" I put him through to her, she was on the phone. I immediately put him through to her manager, who didn't answer. I got the guy back on the phone and he cursed at me again about nobody answering his [expletive] call. I told him, "I'm sorry but there are just two people in the subscription department, would you like to leave a voicemail for the subscription manager?" His answer: "No I don't want to leave a [expletive] message when nobody is obviously there anyway, and by the way you have a really nasty attitude!" Um excuse me, *I* have a nasty attitude? I told him I'm sorry he feels that way, and he hung up. He called back immediately and hung up on me when I answered. Now *somebody* keeps hanging up on me every 5 minutes or so. Gawd I can't wait for this day to be over!!

Do you think they sell alcoholic drinks at the Wiggles concert? ;)
