Well I have some good news, but I don't want to jinx it...but since you guys are my very best friends I'll share it anyway. It looks like Jeremiah is going to get a pretty good raise within the next couple weeks. His boss is in India right now because of a "family emergency" but he called to tell him the news because Jeremiah & him had a meeting yesterday and Jeremiah told him how unhappy he was, etc. etc. I think he is afraid he will leave so he is finally giving in. I don't even have the room to type what a jerk this guy is and how many things hes done to us but atleast after he starts making some more money, we can save more to just quit and then move back home to FL to find another job.

OK, I have a medical question. I know I know you guys aren't doctors or nurses (yet ) but it is freaking me out and since I don't have medical insurance right now, I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars at the doctor if its nothing. You guys remember how almost a month ago I had oral surgery. Well I had an IV and my hand was bruised for several weeks...well I looked at my hand last week and noticed part of the vein is raised and like a little bump. It actually hurts alittle. It feels hard, not 'smooshy' like a vein normally feels. Anyway I was looking online and now I'm terrified that it is a blood clot Has anybody had this before after having an IV and knows what it is??

For your hand, I would post a thread, b/c there are several nurses on here that could help. Without seeing it, I'm not sure. I'm bad about just letting things go and not worrying about it. Sometimes that's not the best thing either

How's everyone doing tonight? I just settled down for the evening and I think Nathan and I are going to watch Flushed Away.
Sunday afternoon is Nathan's Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet; we have to make and decorate a cake. There is a contest for best categories of cakes....I'm trying to come up with something a bit unique, but haven't yet.

Toot:: That is really cool that you are a Pre-K/Kindergarten teacher!! My DS8, Nathan often says that Pre-school were the best years of his life. I always hesitate to tell him they probably always will be. He was fortunate enough to have teachers that were absolutely awesome and made learning fun for him.
And yes, the donuts were Krispy Kreme!!


pozey:: Sorry!!! Your GPS snapu has me cracking up!! It reminds me of the movie R.V., where the GPS tries to tell Robin Williams where to drive and it keeps telling him to "make a legal U-turn"!! Is this a common thing for a GPS? I don't have one.

Ashley, it could be a ganglean (sp?) cyst. I have one on my wrist and I had it drained a couple of weeks ago. They are just an excess of joint fluid and can be caused by a needle puncture, so my doctor said. It is hard and on the hand, not the skin. If you move the skin the bump should stay stationary, but if you push on it it will move a little. If thats what it is its harmless but can cause a little stiffness in the area. You can get them drained with a high gauge needle or you can get them popped by whapping them with a really thick book, but they keep coming back. Eventually I have to have mine surgically removed. I would have a doctor look at it.

Howdy friends...I'm sneaking a quick peak at the boards....

My youngest DS is having 3 friends sleep over for his birthday...so that totals five loud boys. I think the 1 1/2 hour bowling party might have been the better choice (even though he did it last year)

Ashley...so you alreay heard my "blown" vein story? We had pizza tonight (Mazzios...for my ok friends...no hideway in Owasso). I was straving too. I had a light lunch of cheese and crackers followed by some afternnon munching on red licorice. My blood sugar was getting low.
