Really? You worked there? What did you do? That's exciting!

I worked in the village in the old Character shop. Sadly it is gone along with the village market place!:sad1: DH worked in World Showcase. We had our oldest dd there (she is convinced that she was actually born in Disney  ) We missed family so much we moved back. Now we live away from family again, so I wished it were back in Florida and not Illinois.

We're on page 801! Pack your bags ladies!:car: :beach: Sorry, and guys!:rolleyes1

Hey, I was the 12,000th post!! Do I get a prize? :confused3 ;) :teeth:

Congrats to you and your big mouths!!! :dance3: :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Okay, gotta go fix dinner and do homework with the girls. Ainslee climbed into her bed and is falling asleep. I don't think she feels very well. :sad2:

I'm insulted!

No prizes, but we will dance for you!;) :dance3:

I hope the little one isn't sick!:flower3:

Heres my trivia question for you..

Who was the model for Madame Leota's Crystal Ball in the Haunted Mansion. Bonus points if you know what her job was and how she got roped into the modeling job.

Sorry Lesa!

Michelle got it 99% right this try. She was just going to be the stand in so they could get the effect worked out before casting the actual actress. But, they liked her look so much in the ball that they left her in. Her name was Leota Thoombs. Her husband was one of the Imagineers that worked on HM which is how it all got started.

2xcited....please don't pay attention to all this....it was ME that was in the crystal ball!:lmao:

Hey, we're back from the eye doctor. The glasses look nice on DS. I was a little nervous because I was not in control of the "selection" process.:rolleyes1

I need to get dinner going....Lesa nice eye batting.:rotfl: Oh, and no fighting over the bat word.

Isn't it hard giving up the control?:scared: I'm glad they look good...of course they would!

Ok let's see if I get this right...

Leota was a Disney seamstress. She was chosen because she had the correct look for the head but her voice was too sweet. They used the voice of Lady Tremaine> Leota's real voice can be heard from Little Leota at the end saying "Hurry Back"

Interesting!

Nicole, I could never sell Mary Kay, I don't have the drive to keep up with it!! :teeth: Are you and Steven watching the Houston/Miami game tonight? It is hard for me considering Miami is my home team, but I think I'll be rooting for the Rockets! (and rooting for Dwayne Wade too because he's my fav!)

I'm not sure if we will watch it or not. We hardly ever watch the games. Go Rockets!:cheer2:

/
Hurray!!! I found my rings and iPod!!:cool1:

I am still missing my debit card...I am just going to call the bank and have them cancel it and get me a new one.

And I remembered what I forgot:banana: It was my watch that I couldn't remember that I couldn't find...follow that??:confused3

But since it is just a $10 Target watch I'm not going to stress it. I have a ton of Disney watches with dead batteries. I will just take one up and have the battery replaced.

I was really worried about my rings. They were right where I thought they should be...on the shelf of my computer desk...they just got shoved under the wireless router.

Is the 'fighting' over? You'll notice I stayed completely out of that! Mainly because I was reading that Disney Secrets thread...I could spend hours there!

I watched part of Dancing with the Stars last year...don't think there is anyone in this batch I really want to see. I have never really watched AI. Matt tries to get me to watch the beginning with the freak show. After that, I just don't care.

YM...Bummer that your DS needs glasses. I was 12 when I got mine. Had the RK surgery in 99. It was the best thing I ever did. How bad is his script? Will he need them for sports? I'm sure he will look 'cool' in them:cool2:

Lyzziesmom...sorry about your back...hopefully you'll feel better soon. Does it bother you often? I don't remember you mentioning it in WDW. The "magic" of Disney strikes again!!

Amber...I definitely think you were getting the run around...let us know what you find out tomorrow...don't give up!!

I was just going to ask you if you found your stuff yet! Somehow I missed it among all the nonsense!;) :rolleyes1 Glad you found it!:3dglasses

Bonnie: that's pretty cool that you got to see the HM with the lights on! I am the kind of person who's always peeping around the corners and behind me, trying to figure out how stuff is done. The one I still can't figure out is Turtle Talk - I guess I'll just have to go see it more often! Is the Disneyland HM much different than the WDW one? I keep trying to get to DL but it seems so much more expensive, and it's so much smaller, that I keep ending up back at WDW. That situation with your DSD is so sad, but she is very lucky to have ended up with you in her life. I once knew a girl who had 5 kids and gave them all away to her mom to raise, so she could live with her boyfriend du jour and do all the drugs she wanted. I don't understand why she kept having more. It must be so hard to raise someone else's kids... it can be hard enough sometimes to have your own. Did anyone else see the show about the family who adopted 27 or so special-needs children? Yikes!! They must have the patience of saints. I thank God all the time that my girls are happy and healthy, I don't know how I'd cope if they weren't - but I'm sure I'd find a way.

Lesa: I didn't realize you had worked at WDW for so long. I'm sure you mentioned it before, but for some reason I thought it was just for a summer or something.

You guys have been moving fast today, I can't keep up! We are creeping up quickly on that 1000th page, aren't we? I'd better save my pennies! I keep trying to figure out when I can get the good room rates & the good airfare to coincide. When exactly is Spring Break season, does anyone know? I'm thinking maybe of a late May trip... they just released a new AP code for April through June 2, which is Emma's birthday. We went last year about a week before Memorial Day and it was great. Did anyone else see that they are bringing back the Playhouse Disney concerts again this fall? Maybe that means they'll bring back free dining too!! I've got my fingers, toes and everything else crossed for it.

My back still isn't feeling much better. My muscle relaxer helped for a while, but I could definitely tell when it wore off. Now the girls are back home so the resting is over. Boo.

It's almost time for Idol again... I sure hope the girls are more interesting than the boys were!

Hi lizzysmom! DL HM is pretty much the same as WDW's, but the facade of WDW's is much nicer, in my opinon. I like them both though. And I always thought WDW was much more expensive than DL. The park tickets to WDW is more expensive, I know that.

Sorry your back is hurting. What's wrong with it?

I am Tivoing American Idol too. I'm going to let it get a few minutes into it before I start watching, so I'll be able to FF the commercials. I love that show!! I thought the guys were so bad last night. Even my favs did not do very well. I hope the girls are much better. i'm rooting for the girl back-up singer. I thought she had an amazing voice. For guys I like Chris Sligh and Sundance Head, although they weren't good last night. :(

Got you on my MSN contact list now, lady! Don't ignore me if I bug you one day! :)

:surfweb: I've been trying to catch up on the posts from today!! I started reading about 5:30pm; had to stop to fix/ eat dinner; then resumed about 6:45pm!!! :surfweb:

Donna...you weren't in SE Michigan today were you?

I took Matt to a buddy's house this afternoon and passed a woman driving a Jeep who could have been your twin! I almost turned around and followed her.

Wouldn't that have sounded weird...I'm sorry I'm stalking you, lady but you look just like this friend of mine...she lives somewhere in IL and I don't remember her last name...we only met once for a few days but...

They would put me in a rubber room!!:rotfl:

Hi to everyone!!! My fingers are getting tired and every other word has a typo!!!
Have a great evening!!!:cool1:

Hi Donna! We were a bit chatty today! No I'm awake, just barely! I am working on 2nd grade books that I have put off doing for over a month. I actually sent them back and asked that someone else do them, but I got them back a week later.:headache: I have to edit them before I type them. Then I have to find pictures to illustrate them.:guilty: Well if you have ever read a story written by a 2nd grader, they are.... interesting to say the least.:rolleyes1 Anyway the 2 I have left I am sick of looking at so I broke down and did them. They took forever and I just know they are going to get sent back to be redone!

Have a great evening! remember I requested tonga toast:rolleyes1

Hi, Lesa!!!

Michele's story of spotting a woman that looked like me reminded me of a humorous thing that happened yesterday!!

My aunt and uncle stopped by the cleaners for a few minutes and the topic of my Disney Cliqueless meet came up. Of course, I was telling them what a good time I had and about the places we ate, etc. My mom told my aunt that my other aunt from Ga. called all worried about me. Her son in-law is a police officer and she said that he hears/sees things all the time where people get beaten up or murdered in their hotel rooms by people they met on the internet!!!:rotfl2: :scared:
I'm practically cracking up as I post this........I just responded to my Mom and Aunt that I DID sleep in my own room by MYSELF and that everyone was pretty normal, for the most part!!!!:lmao:

2x: I hope your doing good!:yay:

While wrestling and wrestlers are great........just think of the money that Major League Baseball is throwing to players......:thumbsup2

The only problem with that, is the odds of getting to the pro or even semi pro level are very slim. We just use wrestling as a vehicle to get an education. (just have to watch out ya don't get the bugs!)
