Are any of you hooty's eyes burning this morning?? Mine are. For some reason I still couldn't get to sleep after logging off -----had some of those knee problems again---boy, that's a long ago memory for all of us old-school Cliquers. When was that conversation?? Or was that one of my infamous soloes??

I woke up with a lovely pompadore (sorry spelling nazi--cuz I'm not sure) this morning, too. I laughed when I looked in the mirror.

Speaking of hair do's--------anyone else as thrilled as I am about the Grease show starting tomorrow???? The reality "pick Danny and Sandy" for Broadway?? I loved this movie!!!!!! (The first one---Grease 2--not so much)

I really hated Grease 2...wasn't that the one with Michell Phiffer(sp?)? I loved the first one with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John!!

Donna---yes, Grease 2 was the one with Michelle Pfeiffer (??sp too). I did not like that one at all---but I know some people who love it. I don't know, there's nothing like the original!!!! Something about John and Olivia singing together.

I found this out late one night by reading another thread and it freaked me out because it opens another window for hmmmm, how do I say not so nice people. I have some preschool/elementary ed. background, so my MOMMA HEN abilities come out when it comes to the internet. Maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion, but just letting you all know------you can make your own decisions from here.

As for breakfast I'll take one (or 2) of everything

Well, it stopped snowing and the sun is out today 2x- as far as I'm concerned winter lasts too darn long!!!! Give me a beach and warm weather anyday! Yesterday, My dad called and said my mom was really bored and could I bring Keagan over? My mom had cancer last year and is now on permanent dissability-- she's finally starting to feel better and now she's getting to the point where she has some energy but is totally bored at home. SOOo, I load up the kiddo and treck across town to drop him off. They are really two peas in a pod. They totally adore each other. Since we were kid free and we are tired of being couped up inside my DH and I went out to eat at PF Changs YUM!!!! Tonight we have my husbands non-holiday company party They do the party in January so as not to offend anyone

Dznyfan-- sounds like you have a great dad! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Erin.

Good morning everyone!!!

It has been raining like crazy here the last few days, I am so sick of being damp. The good thing is you don't have to shovel rain!! The weather man said yesterday that we have had so much rain this winter that if it were colder and it had come down as snow we would have over 4 feet of snow!!!
In that case I'll take the rain

Matt had his buddy Mike spend the night last night. It looks like Matt is upstairs in his room and Mike is down here on the couch. Mike is the friend who broke his ankle before Christmas. Of course it means I don't have access to my living room. So I guess I HAVE to DIS

I see ya'll were a chatty bunch last night after I signed off, now I have 4 more pages to add to my catch up.

Thanks for breakfast Donna and 2x. I sent the girls in and told them breakfast was served. They looked at me like I was nuts!

Well last night didn't go so bad. One of the girls just couldn't shut up so then all I kept hearing was the other girls telling her to shut up. When I finally got Madison off to bed I did some much needed closet cleaning upstairs till about 1:00 and got in bed just as dh came home. He won $40 for me to take to Disney (I haven't told him that yet ). When I woke up about 8:00 one of the girls had already gone home.

Well I'll catch up with you crazy chatty crew later.

Please remind me to make my ME reservations or I'm going to be stuck at the airport.

Lyzziesmom----I have never read the Chronicles of Narnia, but just bought the DVD at Target (on sale of course). I didn't even see it at the theater. Do the girls like it???? I guess I didn't realize it was a series-----only that "chronicles" in the title just, right at this very moment, hit me in the head like a brick. May I borrow your dunce cap, please?????!!!!! I'm shaking my head for you, don't worry.
I had to laugh at your "fancy schmancy" comment. I literally just used this phrase the other day. We must be on the same wave length, although I don't blame you for not wanting to admit it.

I bought Izzy the Disney Princess version of Junior Monopoly, but she informed me that she already has it, so now I get to return it. Does Lyzzie have this??

Lyzzie loved the movie and so did I - it was really very good. Be sure to have your tissues handy! Of course, I am a crier during just about any movie but it was very emotional. The books are great! The one the movie was made from is actually the 2nd book, so we will start reading that one tonight.

Lyzzie does not have the Princess Jr. Monopoly. She has just discovered "real" Monopoly and loves it... but it takes so darn long to play!! She does have Shrek Jr. Monopoly and likes it, but she is more of a Princess at heart than an ogre. (Most of the time.)

Aren't those books awesome? Have you read them before and are re-reading, or just starting? I kind of wish they'd do the whole series as films - kind of like the Harry Potter series.

2X - I'm touched that you were touched last night by dad's story. he's a pretty cool guy - he's never been afraid to do anything, and always with a sense of humor. Funny story - when he was young, he needed to get a commercial drivers license. Well he couldn't because he is blind in one eye - always has been. So in the eye exam, he covered up the bad eye, did the exam, they asked him to change eyes, and he just covered up the bad eye again... they never caught on! He's still so overprotective of his daughters, even now... and his granddaughter? Well, lets just say I get lots of parenting advice and gripes about 'kids these days'!
I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him as an adolescent and teen because he & mom divorced when I was 12. I lived in a different city w/ mom, and would fly down to see him a few times a year, then when I was 19 I moved out here and saw him less. I missed out on a lot. But - he taught me to drive, work on a car, and taught me to fend for myself financially, if I got in a bind, he wasn't going to help out. He taught me the importance of kindness (opposite of mom) and friendship and family. *sniff* He was a LOT more level headed and kind than my mom. He's been through a LOT of adversity in his life, and always managed to come out on top.

The Electric Water Pageant passes by the Poly at approximately 9pm. Should be just about the right time to grab a LapuLapu and head off to the beach! Doesn't that sound lovely?

I Love Disneyland, Welcome! I've been too DL twice, one with my marching band in HS for a day, and once during a theatre conference for a day when three of us skipped out and headed to DL instead of the conference. I wish I could go more but it is way more expensive than DW which shocks me. So, even if we start to plan a trip to DL we wind up at DW instead. I hope to get over there soon!

This is exactly what happens with me. I will get all ready to make a DL reservation, and then the total comes up and I think, I could spend so much more time at WDW for that money! I need to just bite the bullet and GO.

I haven't seen anything about this show, but my mom was just asking me about it last night. I had to interpret though... she asked me if I would watch, "I'm the One You Love - you know, the Greasy reality show?" I said, "Do you mean You're the One That I Want? Like Grease?" Yeah, that's it. April: Have you found any good airfare yet? Keep looking girl! I would offer to let you stay in our room with me and Emma (but it's a little against the "rules") to help you cut the costs. But since it's sneaky and frowned upon, I won't offer *ahem ahem*. Nobody saw that, right?

2x: the GS cookies were ordered in November and just came in yesterday! The girls are just now starting to do booth sales outside of stores & such, so it's not too late! Lyzzie's troop is selling outside of Blockbuster - we are not going because it's rainy and cold and I'm a weather wimp, plus too hard to entertain Emma - but I always see them outside WalMarts too. Good luck! They have a new cookie this year, Lemonades, that are simply delish. A nice light lemony shortbread, shaped like a round slice of lemon, with lemony icing on the back. MMMMmmmmmm. Think I'll go have one now.
